  • Sarah's put 6 tracks on soundcloud. If you're interested in hearing more of her work, please have a listen. Very proud Dad.

  • this is so good also i lost my mum to cancer on my birthday and also on halloween i lost my nan(her birthday) and i lost my brother on christmas day(his and my mums birthday) also 6 days after my birthday i lost my mate such a bad year

  • Such a sentimental and moving video. After losing my Mum in January this year, I just felt emptiness. Losing your Mother at such a young age is just something difficult to comprehend. I ultimately realize that my Mum won't be there to see me have children, or go to university or get married. That is the most difficult thing anyone can face. The song and the wonderfully arranged montage just display your true dedication towards her, and I commend you for that. Once again, such a wonderful video.

  • oh my god.. speechless. amazing (:

  • this is amazing :) im actually crying right now.. your voice is beautiful.

  • I just wanted to say beautiful song.. My daughter is 11 and i am 35. Her mother my wife died october 19 2010. The really got to me. Thank you :) We are still seeing in the dark awaiting to see the light...

  • What a great tribute to someone loved very much.

I don't the story, but I guess from the video that your mum had cancer.

I wish I could do something like this for my wife. I lost her in 2009 - Theres so much more I wish I'd done, but then failure wasn't an option in my eyes. It hurts so much everytime I think about it all. The nearest I got to doing this... was to build the coffin... That was the hardest thing I've ever had to build. More tears went into the oak, than polish for the finish...

  • I lost my mum when I was 14, just 6 days before you lost your mum. though completely different circumstances, I took it badly and have only just started to come out the other side.

i just want to say your mum would be so proud of you and i wish i had the guts to do the same for my mum. thank you for touching my heart, and for being able to relate to someone in such a way x

  • This song is beautiful. I'm sure your mum would be very proud.

  • Having lost my mother suddenly in 2009 I relate to this video. It is a beautiful tribute to Debbie from her daughter Sarah. Really emotional to all that watch it.

  • This is so very moving, and very tasteful.

It is also much like watching a video of my own situation, with the travelling etc, how my family travelled until it wasn't possible. My mum also had cancer, and passed away on new years day, staying strong right through to 2012. Amazing how strong mothers are isn't it?! Hope things are going well for you, you have touched so many people, including myself, along with inspiring me to do something for my mother at her funeral.

    Thankyou x

  • I just av to comment again

  • After you told me about this vid I tracked it down, and I'm blown away.

What can I say that hasn't already been said? You've got something really special, here. Pleasure to meet you last night :) GP

  • Omg i am crying its just so sad its awful people loose their parents or friends but i never really experienced it i just know how it feels about loosing cousins and aunts and uncles

This song should have over a trillion views !

  • beautiful!

  • :'(

  • This is beautiful... I am totally utterly speechless! There are videos that are made with no talent required and become "web sensations" like "Charlie Bit My Finger" and there are videos that deserve double the amount of views than they currently have, this tribute video is so touching and is somehow very gripping, it makes me feel sympothy for Sarah and for her poorly mother. This video should be remembered.

  • this is a beautiful cover and tribute, it brought tears to my eyes

  • one of the best movie that i ever watched..saw this in webmovietube

  • Cried my eyes out. Its so beautiful :')

  • sung with such passion. brought me to tears. well done to you xx god bless.

  • all I can keep thinking is "it not fucking fair", please excuse my swearing. Its happening again for me. I hate being so close to those I loose so quickley.

  • I lost my mum at Christmas 11 years this year. Take care

  • This made me cry, such an amazing song and sung with so much passion and understanding of the words.

My mum passed away from cancer 7 months ago and this just reminds me of her.

    RIP <3

  • Thank you so much for writing this, i found this sound by being shown to the bereavement page, in the nhs choices, because of my dad too passing away, and this song is now a part of me, i have now decided to write a song.it might be about, how he was, and something i've learnt lately, he isn't visiable, and that is difficult, but if you keep dreaming and believing he is still in you're heart, it hurts, but it helps.

  • i went to your old school... this is amazing! i have a voice like yours and i am singing it at school! we sang it at bute in senior choir... we all love it! well done! such a success x i write a bit myself and this really moved me x i now realise how lucky i am to have fit parents, best of luck to you xxx

  • Such a beautiful tribute! I bet your mum is so proud of you x

  • that's really sweet, love it

  • wow, beautifull.....

  • wow goosebumps all over. This is an excellent cover but I think you made it your own with the violin accompaniment, with how the emotion comes through brilliantly and how you made it a celebration of here life. My aunts been recently diagnosed with cancer but luckily its early and this just got me thinking...

and wow I just noticed you were in New York in 2001

Anyway every time I hear this song I'll be thinking of your mum now as well.

    R.I.P. Debbie

Not only did I lose my nana that day but I lost my best friend.

Time doesn't heal or make the pain fade but I think what you have done by using your grief to create something so beautiful is amazing!

  • Hi there

This is your first christmas without your mum and I know how hard this can be for you. I just wanted to know from this lonely old pilot here in the cold north, that you and your family are being thought of as well as others who lost there wives, mums, partners this last year.

    Hang in there

I will be in the sky today and will say one for you all.

    Kev

  • This really is amazing. You are truly wonderfull and your Mum will be so proud. Not too long ago my Dad died of Cancer. I wanted to tell the world just how great he was, I wanted to make everyone feel how proud I was of him. I couldn't find a way of doing it. You have found that way. When someone you love is dies you see horrid things and you have to go through hard times. But it does get better, even if it feels like the world should stop moving. You are so inspirational. <3 :') xx

  • Heey,

found your song from shout magazine :)

sorry for your loss, i wont say i know how you feel because i don't,

Take care of each other & keep singing. Your mother would have been immensely proud of you. I'm sure you'll raise well over the target - brilliant of you!

  • this is soo sweet :') RIP

  • Hi Sarah,

I love the songs. I lost my wife to cancer in March. I have problems with music as so much is poignant. Unfortunately, when I tried to find your songs I found Autumn Leaves by Edith Piaf. Now that makes me cry. Please keep up all the good work.

All the best to you and your family, at this difficult time.

    Simon

  • After hearing you on Woman's Hour I had to know more and listen to you. I found something very special. You have shared with us your feelings and it must have been hard. But it will help so many people who will be feeling like you but are having difficulty in dealing with their loss. To also encourage us to make a contribution to change the lives of families affected by this dreadful cancer is truly wonderful. Your mum is still with you.

  • Sarah, I heard you on Women's Hour Thurs 16th Dec and was very moved by your composure and the songs, both this and the one you played live-Say its Possible. You are an inspiration to everyone, in particular those who have lost a parent recently. I hop you raise the total sum hoped for really soon....I've downloaded both Autumn and the EP - Everyone DO THE SAME.... it is brilliant apart from being for a great cause.

  • Peace. Never give up faith, never fall to darkness.

    Great voice ;)

    R.I.P to your mother.

  • 3 years ago i lost my best friend to leukaemia she was 10

  • My mother had cancer (skin). It was aweful and scary. In the end she did it. And I am more than grateful for that. But if I read the comments from the ones that were not as lucky as we were... Saying "I am so sorry" is not even describing how sorry actually I am. My heart is with you! xxx

  • This is so so touching, Sarah, your Mum would be so proud. Awareness of cervical cancer needs to be raised in any way it can. Your Mum, I am sure, was a very courageous lady and a fighter. I know how hard the next few weeks are going to be, the first Xmas; I too lost my Dad to cancer in 2008, he too was taken too soon at a very young age. I hope your fundraising is going well, and you and your family are in my thoughts xxxx

  • I've just read your story in a magazine, and it really touched me. I felt I had to listen to this song. You should be really pleased with yourself as not only have you performed a tribute for your mum, but you've also raised awareness of Cervical cancer. Your mum's watching over you, she's so proud of you. Never forget that. Thoughts with you and the rest of your family xxxxxx

  • Hi Sarah, read your story in Shout magazine, it touched me, great song&video! :)

  • Saw this in shout, very touching video! Sorry for the loss.

  • New song go see it and buy if you can.

    Thank You

  • I saw this on youtube and thought it was a singer's mother who had died and it made me very sad. I only realised days later that you were Jack's sister (I go to school with him) and when I watched it again it moved me even more. My mum had cancer when I was young and I can't really remember it but this reminded me of how lucky I am to have her and how much I feel for you. It was an amazing thing to do and I have bought both your songs. Hope you raise loads :)

  • Oh and by the way your voice, and your soul, as well as your mum is beautiful. :)

  • Aaaaw, beautiful. I saw your page in Article magazine, this is beautiful. I hope it's xmas number one x

  • Hi

Just lost my wife to Leukaemia a couple of weeks ago at only age
