Cat's are easy to train not to ruin furniture, not all cats cough up furballs and most cats can be cleaner then some dogs.

If the dog is outside, they can get all muddy and dirty then they will come inside and ruin your house.

cat's are playful but prefer to sleep since they are more of a nocturnal animal, when it's night time they become very playful
