@VideoJoeKnows yeah couple times but this one involves alot of cutting... I have a tile cutter also the floor is old im guessing from back in the late 70s im just gonna tile right over it , ill show ya a couple screen shots of it when i start it.
@NINJATRONdnb That would be great once you get the screen shots.....thanks. You could do a little video & you could place it here as a 'video response' & I'll post it here for you......right where these comments are. Joe :0
@NINJATRONdnb Good luck with your carpet repair/project. You can do it! I have a couple other videos that show how to patch gluedown carpet. Take a look, if need be. Joe :0
@bubba007sss I'm just an average "joe" helping viewers with their projects, showing viewers that yes.....they can do it themselves.....pro or no pro, you can do it. If "joe" can do it, you can do it.....jack!....lol Joe :0
@tntslade You're right...I'm not a professional carpet layer, & neither are most DIY'ers.....but don't let that stop you. I wanted to show how it would look for a non-professional to patch a carpet piece. If "joe" can do it, you can do it! Joe :0
@Raedwulfiggie Yeah, it's kind of a hassle to use the glue adhesive out of a small container such as the one I used.....but I didn't need any more than that. The best way is dump alot out (of a big can) then you can spread easier & faster. Glad you got a chance to send me your comments. I appreciate it. Glue on! Joe :0
What a joke, any carpet layer or fitter will tell you to use Latex glue, not the peewee pot he is using. With a good trowel you can spread and lay 30+ metres of carpet in 1 hour. WHAT A JOKE
@FreshlySnypes The existing concrete slab had been initially glued over for carpet, then it was patched over with a concrete finishing material at one point. Now "joe" is applying glue to repatch the carpet. Thanks for sending in your question. :0
@deefirst Really? Maybe it will calm you even more, by troweling it on yourself. If not, keep watching "joe" as I'm sure you can find other videos that calm the soul as well. Thanks for your comments. :0
@drinkspecials I don't actually 'like' to apply carpet glue. What I 'love' to do is help to show viewers how they can do things themselves, to save money! Thanks for checking out my channel. Joe :0
Thanks for posting, this is very helpful for us DIY folks.
One thing worth mentioning, check with the adhesive / glue as to the size of notch / groove etc required. I have various adhesive needing a differing spread rates which is regulated by the size and or shape of notch / groove.
@robchur29 Thanks for mentioning about the various sizes of notched trowels & requirements each glue/adhesive may need as it is very important to use the recommend size/notch trowel as well as the amount of glue/adhesive needed....as all projects are not created equal. Joe :0
Your pissing the Corporations off with this info! Glue adhesive isn't for leveling the floor too? The more you buy on the company credit card, you get a small percentage back, therefore buy more than you need & use it for leveling too, so when the customer goes to replace the carpet, you already own the machine to rip it out, because no one wants to do it buy hand. Just kidding... AWESOME CHANNEL/vids/info & with the way the housing market is, you should have 150 million subscribers this year!!!
@VEGAShasBIGBALLZ Thanks for your vote of confidence. Always like to hear from you! To answer your question, you probably should use a different material to patch or level off a floor edge, gouge, crack, etc.. I have a video just for you.......scroll down half way down my channel page & look for the video called "how to patch a floor" (or something like that). That's the kind of patching material I would highly recommend. Tell your friends to subscribe to me so I can hit 150M this year! Joe :0

@MrKarl1959 That's all the amount of glue "joe" needed so why waste money buying a large tub of glue? Thanks for your comments. :0
