There are very good reasons why national flags are flown only during national holidays. That's because flags cannot handle the ware and tear that weather can bring. Colonel has to burn and replace the flag every month if he wants the American flag flown undamaged. If he doesn't want to be like those idiots who fly ripped up flags on Car antennas. Flags are not meant to be disposable. I never saw American flags on stickers before 911.

In his own property maybe but its seen by the community not by himself alone. He could been a modest person and just display American flags inside his home but he had to displays it forcing everyone in his nighborhood to view his...Well Ok he is very old and I feel like we should just let him do what he pleases but it seems to be late now. The association have to fight him because that's what keeps him going.
We had neighbor who were Danish back in 79. He had his Danish flag up during the holidays back in home country. It really doesn't serve any purpose at all except letting the entire neighborhood know where he is from.

There are very good reasons why national flags are flown only during national holidays. That's because flags cannot handle the ware and tear that weather can bring. Colonel has to burn and replace the flag every month if he wants the American flag flown undamaged. If he doesn't want to be like those idiots who fly ripped up flags on Car antennas. The reason given for the flagpole not being accepted was asthetics... the HOA did not have any specific rules against flag poles. It was a decision of a few stupid board members. There are no reports as to the political views of the board members yet there are names thrown around here such as fascists, leftists and liberals. Funny conservatives were left out when there is the same evidence for those beliefs as what you offer....none.

Libertarians are dumb. They complain how the economy is shit and how both Republicans and Democrats are to blame but most of the time these guys end up voting Republican because MY TAX DOLLARS. For making the connection with the African lady and her hatred against America, my video was ironically flagged for "hate speech" and taken down from YouTube. purplehazed54 As far as I can understand it HOA did tell him he cannot build that flagpole on July before he even built it but he did it anyways. The Colonel already had his 15 minutes of fame and he knows it that is the reason why he decided to go along and dismantled his flagpole(citation is needed). He is amazing I think for making his grand point. I would have been very proud to have him as my neighbor with or without his flagpole...

purplehazed54 I do not know the law in his county regarding structures within his property but I do know for fact it is illegal in our county above 8 feet heights. And I do know for fact you cannot build a flag poles on backyards. If he was my next door neighbor and we were not in the H.O.Association I would not object at all. And that's out of my respect for him not because he is a vet but only because he is much older and perhapse wiser than me.

In his own property maybe but its seen by the community not by himself alone. He could been a modest person and just display American flags inside his home but he had to displays it forcing everyone in his nighborhood to view his...Well Ok he is very old and I feel like we should just let him do what he pleases but it seems to be late now. The association have to fight him because that's what keeps him going.

We had neighbor who were Danish back in 79. He had his Danish flag up during the holidays back in home country. It really doesn't serve any purpose at all except letting the entire neighborhood know where he is from.

Yes, unfortunately Housing Organizations may make up their own rules and laws no matter how how communist it may seem. It also seems like this organization is violating he freedom of speech and expression by not allowing him to fly the American flag, but I guess Housing Organizations don't have to abide by the Bill of Rights. It seems that my country that I have fought for in 2 wars has seemed to move way to far to the left too quick.
