How interesting! Here in Brazil, this gesture means "to leave" or "to flee". We use it when somebody is telling a story and wants to emphasize that somebody ran pretty fast or went away in a hurry, or when we want to tell somebody that we're leaving, or that we want to leave.
I would like to say that your lessons help me a lot. It is my biggest dream to go there. Since I study on my own and hard I ve been able to learn a lot from you. Arigatou!!!!
Heh heh!! We usually use this gesture as *turn the lights on!*. In Latvia, drivers show that if someone hasn't got his lights on. They do so, because the person without the lights and without a warning that the lights are broken can actually get in trouble with the police officer...
i wanna learn japanese because i love pokemon and want to move to japan im mexican born and raised in united states.............dosent konichiwa man lke hello??(i know its spelled wrong)
These are great, but it's difficult to see what lesson it is because the title is so long. Is is possible to put the lesson number first, so that it's easy to watch them in order?
Ah - it looks like we didn't have a specific playlist for this series. But you can find them in the Japanese Culture playlist. That might be easier for you.
We won't be releasing any more of that series on YouTube for a while. We're selling the full 25 video series as a DVD though (with lots of bonuses!). Check out the video: watch?v=YsJpsSolclA
Just add that link after the usual YouTube website link.
remember to smile when using this gesture; 'cuz obviously the person you're talking to will be ashamed if they understand what you mean.
