  • and thats how its done

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing you mean that BMW?

  • @RCPhilN no the dodge ram srt10 is probly what hes talking about. the guy doesnt steer the right direction and drives into a ditch.

  • American V8 muscle HECK YA

  • My favorite part was when he was driving a sexy car.

  • hahahah and ricers say muscle can't drift

  • nice!

  • Hello great job is drifting bad for your car? Thinking about trying to attempt one and was wondering. Thank iyou

  • @TheNorthernSoulKing well, unless you do something horribly wrong, your tires should really be the only things that are getting destroyed lol.

  • @YouLikeToast One guy who did a burn out acutally fliped his truck upside down on youtube

  • just look at how she hugs the ground, can't ask for a better car. plus 3rd gen camaros have the best wind tunnel tests of all camaros

  • She is sexy bro. Check my vids out I have a black LS1 T56 thirdgen too.

  • That seems like a lotta fun

  • i need help finding the specs on a 89 cutlass could someone give me a link to where i can find it

  • Drifting invented by imports, perfected by American muscle!!

  • @camaroking250 actually the oposite, we invented making rear wheel drive cars powerfull enough to get sideways while the japanese were still only making motorcycles, invented by americans, sad but true, perfected by imports, just watch an ae86 or 240sx

  • @camaroking250 No drifting started in the usa bootleggers during prohibition running from the cops down dirt roads would slide around in the turnes.

  • @andrewmp6 there is a difference between drifting and powerslides almost every technique you see for drifting was invented by tsuchiya except the scandinavian flick aka feint aka opposite lock that has been around for ages in rally. Power slides are like a really simple form of drifting like donuts but doing either doesn't mean they can hold a drift at 60 mph around a turn, but it will get you on the right path to understand your car and overcome fear

  • Nice. third gens have incredible handling. and the modified powertrain makes this one kickass. ppl tend not to realize the potential of this chassis. im giving this one my big thumbs up!!!

  • wow, hope u didnt need those tires lol

  • sick video. you dont see many american car doing this

  • Now that is drifting. Unlike the other Youtube videos out there, you actually drifted with no handicaps and you did it beautifully with a 3rd gen.

  • anyone think 20'' rims would look nice on a third gen? i found a set of z06 rims 18'' front and 20'' back and rears are 10.5'' wide for only 350 bucks with tires in good condition

  • @jsk8drummer try it out. if not sell em. you can get your money out of em

  • keepin it old school.

  • sick video :)

  • god damn that is so fucking sexy, 3rd gen all the way

  • awesome! i hope more muscle guys get into the drifting scene so it can be more popular. this guy did it just as good as my nissan would.

  • When I first saw the spin out I thought this video was going to suck, but that was pretty impressive man.

  • WOAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

  • That looks AWESOME!!!

  • Love it, got an 84 Camaro sport coupe, makes 450 HP N/A, drifting looks pretty fun, maybe I'll go t56 one day too.

  • Awesome car man. Great mix of old school style with LS1 power. Camaro's are the shit.

  • awsome

  • PM System. There is a reason YouTube has one.

  • that feint drift to powerover was frickin great! good job!

  • the second one was awesome. and nice car

  • cool car but i did the same thing the first time i drove mine in the snow

  • fuckin nice man. my camaro usually spins when i try that

  • Hell yes!

  • badass

  • Perfect

  • how much does it cost you swap the engine?

  • the hOLE VIDEO BEEFy...iNEED tO FIND Ls ENGINES sUM wHErE...any answers

  • Muscle Cars POWERSLIDE, imports drift....

  • You're aware that powerslide by definition is a way of braking inline skates, right?

"Drifting is a high-skill, high-powered motorsport that calls for drivers to control a 450hp car while it slides sideways at high speed"

Obviously you do not know what drifting actually is. Have you ever realized that, Corvettes, Mustangs, Camaros, and Dodge Vipers are some of the hottest cars on the American drift scenes? Almost any 3,000-3,800 pound RWD platform is good for drifting.

    Do some research.

  • Lick my 3rd testicle and get the stick out of ur ass.

u'd be the only person to take it seriously, and taking things seriously on youtube is just plain old dumb.

    GEEZ lightin up.

  • Well this kind of IS a serious site. Youtube was bought by Google for $1,650,000,000.

THEN AGAIN! Maybe I was just joking too.

    Lighten up!

  • Do u make money? do i? nope so

but then if u were joking, You got me bitch.

  • Lol.

  • @kcole939 you dont need 450 horsepower

  • @dieseldrift3406 Never said you do...... Was quoting a generic definition of drifting for the sake of the comment.

  • Love the car man.....know us third gens need something to help us get more steering angle.....

  • gotta give u props that was fuckin cool im gettin my camaro in tyhe spring lets c if i can figure out how to do that

  • These are some of the most versatile cars made in the 80s.

  • who says American cars can't drift. I love these Camaro's.

  • ummm ls7 427CID is the engine from a z06 its a small block re think your statement there is an ls2 that makes 1000HP the ls2 is 350CID

  • The LS2 is not a 350. It is a 6.0L 364 CID. The LS1 is a 5.7L 346CID or the modern day 350.

  • 383 Stroker is better than the LS engines imo.

  • you realize that 383 stroker isn't actually an engine? 383 is in reference to the displacement, while stroker means that it has a proportionally longer than average stroke.

btw there are LSX 383 strokers, just as there are small block chevy 383 strokers. so what engine are you talking about? maybe a gen 1 sbc? maybe a gen 2? or maybe a gen 3? do you even know the difference?

lemme guess, you have a friend that has a 383, you're not sure what it is but you'll just talk out your ass

  • You don't think I know this? It's just a term, so stop assuming I don't know what I'm talking about. Shit, going off for nothing, lol. I don't have to prove shit to you, don't even know who the fuck you are. The small block Chevy Stroker was the one I was talking about, and they've been around longer than 3 production generations, there smart guy. Carbureted, cammed, shaved crank, valve train rebuild, acid bathed heads, and a big deep-breathing Holley 750 CFM 4-barrel to sit on top.

  • your an idiot!

  • No, I'm a certified automotive technician that has been working on cars since you were a nutstain on your mom's underwear. Shh, you are now on silence, boy.

  • if you were a certified tech then you would understand one of the many reasons the ls engines are far superior than the old sbc....

now go fuckyourself, thank you kindly

  • I know this. I said that IN MY OPINION, I like the small blocks better. I didn't say they WERE better, I just like carburetion. So go fuck your mother.

  • why would i fuck my mother when i can easily fuck your sister???

now go fucking learn something, because you have no clue what your talking about

  • Haha, obviously you know nothing because I have two brothers and no sisters. Our whole family fights. You wanna meet up and get beat down?

  • your a hardass, talking shit on youtube. lol

  • I'm a smart person, realizing how retarded a single voice on YouTube can be. That's you. And 0-60 in 16 seconds? HAHA! I don't think my grandma's Yugo is that slow.

  • *you're

    oh the irony

  • That....... wasss.... sooooo... SICK!!!!!!!!

  • nice Camaro see American cars can turn guys btw isn't driving supposed to be fun i always thought it has been i love my cars bought an 84 Camaro to show the rice fags who drive Hondas' whats what bit off to much tho needs a lot of work :(

  • fuckin hate ricers

  • agreed hate any 1 who drives a civic, neon, integra, accord, etc. there dressed up commuter cars

  • and ur point is......

  • my uncle and half my friends drive these types of cars (civics and neons) they are just so slow 4 cylinder Hondas just never appeal to me and they like to think they are better than my Z or Camaro because they have fresh paint and shiny rims

  • civics suck ass. you buy them slow and you have to tune the crap out of them just so they can keep up with stock Z28s, 300z , ect. I agree with that. 90% of modded civics are ricers anyway

  • civics are good as commuter cars nothing more hell good mpg reliable plenty of space but that's it

  • Hey man you got the t56 six speed from the 4th gen Cars right? im thinking about doing it with my 82 trans am! But I have a mechanical clutch because they didnt go hydraulc until 84. How hard was it to make the t56 work?

  • Nice drifting and nice Camaro

  • good job im glad somebody with a camaro can actually drift unlike everytime i look up a firebird trying to do so their embarrassing themselves by doin donuts.

  • If Josh actually understood art, competion and achieving excellence he could appreciate what it took to get there. He just sounds like a psuedo expert with shit dripping out of his mouth.

  • that car looks greate drifting

  • Pretty impressive. In my opinion.

  • Whether he was doin it rite or not, doin stuff like that is still pretty fun, but only if youve got a wide open space.

  • may look like crap to you, but to most of us that looks like a hell of a lot of fun

  • Eat shit josh

  • lol short and to the point

  • uve owned ur moms minivan. and why would that make ur oppinion more valid? dumbfuck.. let them have their fun.

  • Ive never owned a mini can, my first car was a 69 Camaro... I drove it for ten years, I've had many since then. My 99 SS M6 I have now is far better car to drift...

  • LOL DRIFTING IS AN ART!! Get real dude driftings about fun and he looks pretty fucking good from 0:28 to 0:40 especially when he transitions on that last apex joshy boy. An art please, if the drifting comunity thought of it that way then the whole concept would have crashed and burned a long time ago.

  • Here we have a WINNER, the stupidest commenter alive. Look "dude", how are driffting compitions judged? By their abilities, their form, the closness to others, the smoke. They are given points, "dude". There is an art to driving well, just like any other form it takes hours, and hours of serious practice. All racing is an art in which no emotion plays a roll, ask any TRUE driver, but I see there's none of those around here...

  • LOL Thank you once again for proving that you are a douche bag. I am sorry that you really don't understand what it is to be a driver, its not for everyone. How do you really think those points are given? Its based on who has the best line though style makes an impact. By the way if your not having fun while you drive (which apparently you don't) then get out cause driving definatley isn't your thing.

P.S I like that you spelled "their" correctly but saddend that closeness got messed up.

  • This is a waist of my time, I will not respond after this comment. #1, If art wasn't fun, "dumb ass" there would be no art. #2, What is the difference between gymnastics and drifting??? Athletes, given points on their techniques? You admitted drifting isn't for everyone, you just proved my point. It takes someone with talent, and what does that spell? "Art..." By the way, you sound like someones mother correcting me, you have some estrogen showing. "Rolls eyes"

  • Hahaha estrogen. Sorry I rubbed sand in your vagina my bad. Art is art and fun is fun. I doubt any artist really thinks of what they do as art. Its only stuffy people like you who that make it as exclusive as a gentlemans club that call it art (and critique form). Oh your spelling didn't get better its waste not "waist". As for talent there is no such thing in the professional world you speak of.

P.S The difference between gymnastics and drifting is the olympics, a car, and spring boards.

  • i think a true driver is one who knows their car in and out and enjoys every second behind the wheel i drive a 280Z and i have an 84 Camaro i know them inside and out the Camaro cost me hours and im building it as a touring car i have no regrets and love it more burned fingers cuts and hardships than i can count got her running tho

  • and your whipping the tail end, smooth art drifting is, this is an amateur who needs lessons, FAIL!!!

  • Thats called lost of control, fail!

  • sweeeeeeeet ride...dam i love camaros....i need to do mods to my 94 z28...

  • how hard was the t-56 swap

  • awee.... that is just awesome

  • Nice car I want to do a T56 swap in my third gen when I get the money.

  • I would buy a 3rd gen in a heart beat. Love these cars, definately the sexiest Camaro, in my eyes.

  • Amazing... it's doesn't get anymore pure than this. An American muscle going sideways on pavement with the tires smoking and rev-limiter kicking in. There's a certain beauty to this. Very nice. Is that the corvette 350 engine?

  • No, it's an LS1, 5.7 liter 346 C.I. aluminum block, although it was used in corvettes, and 4th gen Camaros.

  • this is awsome plz tell me what type of mods did you have to do

  • sick, nice drivin

  • Nice Bro! I Freaked out when you spin completely around.... Adrenalin rush!

  • That's funny because my 3rd gen is a 1986, and in practically perfect condition except for a few scratches here and there, definitely don't fall apart.

  • i have 172K miles on the original 305 and 700R4. it has needed some interior work, but what 20 year old car doesnt. if you keep them out of the salt, they dont fall apart at all. minor issues aside, they are some of better cars ever built. i love my 1989 camaro. i drive it every day from mid-late march(when ever the snow stops falling) to late october/early november when the salt hits the street. they are a very dependable and well built car.

  • yea my firebird does really good but i keep it well maintained like everyone should. obviousely if you change your oil every 100,000 miles its not gonna last that long

  • i finally see someone drifting a mans car

  • Ain't it nice, man? Not one of those fucking SR20 four-banger powered Nissans running around with their fart cans, sliding around corners. Finally, a bad ass 3rd Gen (I always knew they had it in 'em to slide nice) Chevrolet Camaro, a pinnacle in GM's achievements over the years, is killin' it with style. I like this ride it's fucking sick and I would shoot myself to have it, lol.

  • now i wouldnt mind having an sr20 powered 240sx , but nothing sounds like a v8. i dont know why camaros and mustangs arent that popular for drifting. they seem perfect to me

  • Right. Here in America they were some of the first to get into "powersliding" because everything else at that time had too little power or was a full-on race car, when it came to foriegn vehicles. Sure, you could try to slide an old school Benz, but the wheelbase was too long. Nothing wrong with rockin' the ol' Mustang or Camaro or Firebird to go drifting in.

  • cuz they never put em in the movies, cuz they are built for top speed, not drifting, but they still get the job done right!

  • hell yeah they do.

  • i saw this jap drift ing movie that the best car was a camaro 4th gen an it was at tranny

  • Too much power, they scare the tiny asian men.

  • hell yeah lol

  • nice drift

  • Outstanding car control, not too many people have that kind of talent :)

  • damn, that thing is freaking sexy! can i have it? it sounds and looks like a beast.

  • ahhhhh holy shit!!! :P very nice cam

  • damn there is so much love in the text below.. damn...

  • And the funny thing is that they are both only half right :)

  • i tried drifting in my firebird one time at wal mart parking lot and spun and hit a light pole and it ripped off the back bumper lmao.

  • what you running for the axle, welded or posi?

  • factory 4th gen posi, soon to be welded or spool (broke the posi at the drag strip)

  • damn... do you have any vids of the break..

  • it wasn't anything big - it decided to become an open diff, i drove it home. It was a torsen type, should be some teeth in the oil.

  • lolz. damn..

  • nice there need to be more 3rd gens drifting! was it a bitch to swap a t56 in or does it mount right in?

  • Nice work! Car looks like it drives great. No body roll. Nice recovery from the spin on that first run. Almost looks intentional.

  • hey very nice drifting, i was wondering what you used for suspension i got an 86 but i can't find any drifting or racing suspension for it, thanks

  • He's not. it's called the trottle control. see with American cars we don't need a ebrake. ebrakes=(n00bs. we have torque.

  • That was the joke glad to see you missed that one dumb ass.

  • Wtf does torque have to do with ebrake you moron?

  • Alright well just from your comment I'll take it you are completely auto illiterate. Let me spell it out for you. Torque in the auto world is considered the low end power that's produced from a engine. That means that the power moving the car at acceleration that low end power or "torque" is the vehicle accelerator. So I'm saying the V8 has enough torque to spin the back tires without a e-brake! If this doesnt help try this T=RxF. If you cant figure that out dont sleep during physics class.

  • right right.

You just must not get drifting. Ebrake is to extend a slide, or make tiny line corrections. Torque has nothing to do with that.

And im NOT talking about gay ebrake initiations.

Pay attention when you watch drifting and youll see what im talking about.

  • Oh! and furthermore....

Yanking the ebrake locks the wheels...it doesnt "spin" them.

    God. U R a genius

  • Right you idiot the e brake does lock up the back tires but I guess according to you they never spin after do they? Oh wait they do. Listen moron you wouldn't even need the hand break with the torque so I take it you drive a front wheel drive Honda or something gay. I said he didn't need the hand brake as a joke to the other idiot pay attention.I can drift whenever I want and I dont need an e brake because I have the torque to do so. Go buy a a real American V8 and maybe you'll under stand.

  • haha

Whats the point in arguing with you. Youve proven youre pretty much a retard.

  • Your right whats the point. I'm sick of proving you wrong. I mean everyone agrees with my comment and no one even cares about yours so we will just have to disagree with one another.

  • The thing is, you havent proven anything. Except that you have no idea what youre talking about.

  • Don't worry someday someone will wright a book titled "drifting for dummies" and when that day comes and someone buys you that book you to may understand how drifting works.

Ofcourse someone will have to read it to you....

  • Can you teach me?

You must drive, since you seem to know what youre talking about.

  • SICK!!!!!

I'm building an LS1 for the same purpose in my '87 formula...

  • i gotta 84 Z28 does the same thing!!!

  • Awsome, nice to see camaro's drift like that...

  • jesus that cars tight for a camero must have been quite the suspension upgrade

  • one last question!!.....HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO THAT?? gas, brake, brake, gas??

  • WOW!! i got a 305 bored over .030 aluminum heads mild racing cam roller rockers flat pistons but its automatic! i want to put a t5 world class what do you recomend??

  • all t5 trannys have a tendency to eat gears. the casing itself is designed too thin so the case stretches a little and you lose the gears.

If ya want a standard shift, go with an old 4 speed or a t56 6 speed from an LT-1 car. the clutch operates differently on the LS-1 cars and would take a ton of extra modification to make it work.

  • dam thats a sweet ride. my dad bought a 3rd gen camaro and had it for a day before it got towed. the LS1 swap is sweet. i love 3rd gens.

  • dude my dad bought a tub(a body of a camaro)...and installed a 383 from one of his pickups...and he burned out his tranny...then someone crushed it...they stole it and crushed it for some money...assholes...

  • Damn, that really sucks.

  • i know man...he promised me it as a first car...now im on my own to get a car...but its still going to be a 3rd gen camaro ;)

  • FUCKING AWESOME!!!!! Way more powerful than my 3.1L '90 RS V6

  • bit more power than my stock 90 rs eh?

  • focking awesome.

  • Now THAT is a real Camaro. NICE!

  • they do look good driftin dnt they cnt wait to fix mine

  • yes they do....

  • looks good james, where is the video of you driving? :p

  • almost makes me want a 3rd gen again

  • That car is sweet.

  • damn. that looks like so much fun. im gettin a 84 firebird next week and am gona try to fix it like the knightrider kitt. cant wait!

  • the funny thing is those cars are made to NOT do that lol....my ws6 tpi formy is glued to the fukin road
