  • Gaynor Minden has heel things that you can put in your shoes to take up ssome space on your smaller foot. The first shoes don't compliment your feet like the Suffolks do. You have really pretty feet (in a dance way, not a creeper way).

    (:

  • you have a beautiful arch but those shoes do not fit you properly, your like me where you have that huge buldge in the heel. i dont think you need costumes unless u want them but theres a shoes out there for you

  • I've got freed, I really really like them :) I have no clue about suffolk solo's...but they look so pretty on your feet :)

  • The Suffolks look like they fit your feet well...that is aside from the size difference in your feet, which you clearly demonstrate. Relying on padding isn't such a good idea. I work in a dance shop; I'm not a fitter but I've observed a lot of fittings - LOTS of dancers have different sized feet, but when it's as significant as yours are they just have to get 2 pairs. Then you can really concentrate on working on your technique. I say stay with the Solos though.

  • You look great en pointe! The left foot falling into your right is called sickling and can be fixed with a few simple exercises: rises on one foot whilst making sure your foot is in the correct position or as my teacher asked me to do: put a few plasters on the outside of the pointe shoe to compensate for the sickling, then take them off after about 3 weeks to see if you can feel a difference. For you, you would need to put the plasters over the big toe over your left foot. Hope this helps :D

  • @Sansomish What are plasters? O.o I have a little bit of a sickling problem myself :(

  • @sleepdancelove19 Plasters are the english word for bandages,(I think) the things you like stick on yourself when you got a cut. :S

  • @Sansomish Bandaids?...

  • @sleepdancelove19 There thats it :') haha sorry

  • I love Suffolk that's what I have, but mine are Graduates I ahve tried Solo though. My feet are rather wide and small, they are an 8 1/2 XXX. Suffolks really compliment feet high high strong arches. (:

  • The Suffolk ones are REALLY pretty on your feet! I have the same ones but in Suffolk 3XX and I have trouble breaking them in,they're super hard/: Any tips? And also mine fall of my heel ,and yes I have tried tightening the jaw string but I can't put it to tight ,or else I can't get into my shoes (oh I as well have two different size feet my: left is bigger then my right) and ya I would also recommend getting 2 pairs of pointe shoes ,(I should be too but I've pushed myself through it:P)

  • Yeah I think you may need a smaller size for.your left foot.

  • My opinion is to buy two different pairs of shoes. One for your left, and one for your right. Another is to try different shoes. Hope this helps!

  • why do so many people say rude stuff! great video! :P and the solos are really nice! :P xx

  • Too ballet you probably don't know anything about pointe shoes and whether their dead or not I'm 13 been on pointe for two years I also have strong arches and can do floor pointe

  • @4everSingdance thts rlly rude your new

  • why dont you buy 2 pairs ... one that fits your right and one that fits your left and then you have another pair in the future ... dont bother with custom shoes unless you have a specific foot need ... and make sure you get the right width because your left foot is making the shank twist which isnt great for your foot or shoe but nice arches :)

  • my pointe shoes r just like the new ones u put on

  • Comment removed

  • Alright for anyone who cares to read this, no matter how much you like your pointe shoes you need to switch to Gaynor Mindons the best shoe in the world!!!

  • I'm a dancer I'm also eleven and I have been on pointe for about a year and five months I have gotten already six pairs of new shoes and always break them in on the first week and my arch is better than that seriously work harder

  • It Looks Like You Are Sinking In your Box D:

  • I think the suffolk solos look very nice

  • Suffolk solos with one thicker pad

  • just use the toepads like you are now, it doesnt look too bad. i have the same problem and i had to use double padding on one foot and normal on the other and you get used to it really fast... dont spend absurd amounts on custom shoes.

  • howthefuck standing up on ur top toes ??!!!!!

  • @manluvf btfw nice feet wanna kiss them

  • I have the same problem, the solos look really nice on you but with a good maker (i use freeds) you can make them look just as nice and have the perfect fit, so i would recommend custom xx

  • I would go for the Solos and maybe try 2 pairs. One half a size smaller. Then you will have 2 pairs. They look good over all. You might want to cut them on the out side. A small slit so then they really bend right where you need it. It looks like you can't get right up where your feet want to go, but they still look good.

  • u should really try suffolk spotlight i have a really high instep and arch but no shoe was forming to my foot and the spotlights fit my foot really well maybe they would work for u

  • Maybe if you put on the ribbons it will help.

  • ur feet are amazing! but maybe u should get custom made because they do not show off your pretty feet!

  • You are not fully on pointe!!!!

  • I'm sure that custom is probably best since a perfect fit is so important. But I have to admit the suffolks look SOOOOOO pretty on your feet.

  • You can buy to different sizes ( one for left and one for right) and since pointe shoes don't come broken in for left and right you have two pairs of perfect pointe shoes. Also use the sufolk, both look pretty because you have excellent feet but those look best! Goodluck :)

  • A custom would be better. Trust me I have this same exact problem.

  • i'm a ballerina too, also i'm in pointe shoes

  • I think the 2nd ones r the best.

  • i use suffolks and love them!!!!!!!

  • your not on the box fully

  • I think i watched a video where they fitting pointe shoes and they said that if there is a difference in feet size then you can put a pad-thingy on the heel. I don't have Pointe shoes yet so i don't really know what to say!

  • First ones

  • im getting pointe shoes tomorrow! im soooo exctied! but my moms making me pay for them :,( the only bad part

  • the second ones are better. you have very good arches;)

  • the second pare is the best

haha im stuck with euripion balance :(

  • why dont you get diffrent shoes for each foot, then when they get soft you can just use the other shoes? (but i love the solos)

  • i have solos they are the best

  • The solos are beautiful:) but either way I just wish my feet were as pretty as yours are! blehdilfgrirugb

  • This is one of the reasons I could never progress in any form dance; My feet are almost three sizes different.

You may not have to get "custom fit" but you'll probably want to go ahead and just get two pairs.

  • those pointe shoes should be replaced pretty soon, you can get different sizes for your two feet, and also those look too big, they shouldn't be so baggy on the heels,

  • I have the second pair of pointe shoes, they suit your feet alot better then the first pair! you have beautiful feet aswell :)

  • You have beautiful feet! Maybe.. those are dead?

  • i have the same problem. but i dont wear any different pading. its all the same. a trick i learned was to use jet glue, and strengthen the shoes. then, in the smaller foot's shoe, put some cotton balls and that should help. honestly, i didnt use cotton balls. i just strengthened the shoes, and wore them like that.

if worse comes to worse, buy a pair of Heel Grippers for the left shoe....it helps

    hope this helped ya

  • i have that issue too. i just get each foot fit separately, like evanescence9582 said. then i already have my replacement pair.

  • omg you have such beautiful arches!!!!

  • they look a little dead about the first ones and about the toe pads i like the left foot one lollzzz

  • they look a little dead

  • i know its hard but u have to arch ur foot so much to try to get over ur box more. also try cutting a make up pad in half and sticking it inside the box

  • get them custom made you only have one pair of feet and need to look after them if you get an out line of both of your feet with measurements they can add more to the show so there is an even balance with both feet to you have even leg length

  • nice work))

  • i dont do like that pointe work!

  • I cannot believe i just watched that whole thing! Lol

  • I had suffolk solos and I hated them. You should try gaynor mindens. You can customize those without extra cost... I have wide feet and Blochs balance European and they are perfect for my feet. Go to a well known ballet shop and ask the staff for a fitting.

  • my friend Brooke has the exact same problem!! she just recently bought a new pair, and our costume mistress literally baked one pointe shoe (like, in an oven) and made that one slightly smaller. I'm not exactly sure how that worked, but I hope it helps! :)

  • Thank you so much for your help!

  • Use the solos

  • I am going up en pointe within the next few months. I would love some tips on good exercises, what kind of shoes to get. how to break them in properly and how long mine will last. I take pre-pointe so when I go up I will be ready. Thanks!

  • @jillylilly99 a good way to break into your pointe shoes is to walk around the house in three quarter rises and slowly rise up and down on pointe. For my first year on pointe my shoes lasted about a year but it really depends if your feet are still growing or not.

  • nice instep ;)

  • Pointe Ballet in my opinion is the pretiest thing a human body can do

  • @tiggers4ever koulo!!!!!!!

  • @tiggers4ever ikr i cant wait till i get mine..

  • i have the same problem, but mine aren't off that much so its not a problem, i just use a bigger pad for my left foot, you could tell them that if you go for a fitting to get new shoes, they will probably fit you for 2 different sizes, i'm not an expert, i'm just suggesting it :)

  • if you use mole skin on the bottom on your shoes they wont get wrecked as easily :)

  • I have Suffolk Solos too!

  • fits you perfect, improve your arch

  • then just buy 2 pairs, one for each size :)

  • i think suffolk fits you well :) it follows your feet perfectly.

  • maybe you can wear two pats on your left foot and one on ur right foot.

you can also try to put some pieces of sponge or something in ur pointe shoe.

its a little bit expensive to buy two pairs isnt it?

i wont buy two pairs because my feet are still growing but if yours arent and you dont think its too expensive.....buy two pairs

ow and you have like two of the most beautiful arches

  • mine are nicer

  • Broke in box too much.

  • your in your box- try to go over, i know it sounds silly- but imagine yourself lifting out of your pointe shoes- otherwise good job!

  • I think the best thing you can do is speak to a ballet teacher or someone else who fits pointes but didnt fit them if that makes sense! Like if you went Freed go Dulby's or something!

  • your shoes are too narrow for you. get a wider size..

  • Luv em.the extra space might give you trouble, but I think that you can handle it once you have ribbons.

  • can you look at my video of my pointe shoes and tell me some tips on how to improve on my pointe :) x cheers

  • the new shoes look lovely! a lot better than the old ones you had on...

i just shoved some lamb's wool into the front of the shoe for my smaller foot. worked for me... wasn't really keen on buying 2 pairs, because my feet were still growing XD

  • You have to some extra space for rolling threw cause If you it's really hard

  • Yes, buying two different sizes is the best option. If not, then you'll need some inserts for the smaller foot, such as heel grips, box pads, etc.

By the way, your arches are lovely...I'm envious! I agree with the others about trying a more tapered box and a longer vamp. You may even want to try a softer shank, unless your feet are too strong and would break it.

The Grishko Ulanova 2 might suit your type of foot. A picture of your feet would be helpful as well.

    Keep up the great work.

  • Try veronise, but you aren't getting up as much as you need to. Straighten your knees and hold your placement. You are kinda sickling your coupe too

  • You guys all do realize this video is over two years old, right? XD

  • your profile in the new shoes looks great. if you can tolerate the thinner pads thats always the better option. both shoes look good because you have nice feet but it looks like you have a higher instep with a lower vamp (new shoes).

  • Your shoes are the wrong ones!!!! The box on them is too wide!!! The balls of your feet aren't working hard enough and are falling back!!! A narrower box will help this!! Many different pointe shoe accessories can help with your problems!! Getting custom shoes is your VERY last option!!!!

  • Respond to this video...

  • u hav another problem to there ripped at the bottomxD

  • the low vamp on the suffolk really suits your foot well!

  • Well I think you needed to get two different sizes for your feet with the same type of shoe

  • you have very nice pointe work xx

  • i got some suffolk pointes, they were my least favourite pair i have had, but the good thing with them, they dont only make shoes for feet that are different sizes, you can ask for anything you want like a shorter box or different insoles, but buying two different sizes will cost around the same amount depending on which you buy :)

  • Stick with the second pair of shoes because they look lovely! If i were you i would buy two pairs in the same model but one smaller then the other. Also as pointe shoes dont come made for a particular foot you can still make use of both pairs :) hope this helped :) please check out my channel and videos :) Buddingballerina :)

  • I would absolutely NOT reccomens thick gell pads. With gels you cant feel if ur on ur box as well, and itss like all hunkey dory, i would try Skinny dips. Its like an ouch ouch with a layer of gel.

  • I think those shoes are a bit bigg ...

  • The first thing my dance teacher would say if she saw you put them on is that they are both too big, they need to just go onto the foot and shouldn't feel comfortable until broken in. Second, with the whole one foot is bigger I think having one toe pad thicker is working fine on that. What you may need to do is break the shoes at the demi pointe line then you'll pointe better and when standing en pointe you will get over more. Hope I help a little :)

  • I would bye 2 different sizes and then you'll have an extra pair... Check out my video of me in my pointe shoes

  • they are broken in to high.. it's above the arch. yeaa. those aren't looking to good..:P

  • have you though about trying gaynor mindens?? they have this sleek fit to accomidate different sized feet and they also have heel gripper which you can put in one or both shoes to make the heel a little bit snugger. hope this helped :)

  • como es el nombre de la cancion??me podrian desir por favor

  • Since pointe shoes aren't made specially for left and right feet, I would buy the two different sizes and then you have two pairs, if that makes sense.

  • Get Russians if u need new ones

  • wow amazing!! is my opinion

  • Ahh sorry I mean on the inside of the shoe

  • U could also put some thing in the show left ! Like paper ?

  • you have beautiful feet, i would buy two different sizes!

  • I have the same problem so when I was fit for pointe shoes the professional who fitted me said to buy 2 pairs one in the size of the left foot and one in the size of the right! :)

  • I would buy 2 pairs. one that fits your left and one that fits your right, then you have to buy shoes less often too :P

  • You probably need two pairs as the left shoe is definitely too long. Try a size/half size smaller for the shorter foot. If your shoes have maker's marks try to get the same maker (assuming it works well for both feet). When on pointe try to center your weight, not allow it to go toward the big or small toes. Spread your toes inside the shoe to provide stability.

  • Get each foot fit separately, then buy two pairs - pointe shoes don't have a left or right foot, so you can still use both pairs.

  • What is this song called again,~?? LOL

  • @extra340 fur elise

  • First shoes look bulky, second ones look great! You could sew them to fit your smaller foot better :)

  • whats the name of the second song that was played in this video?

  • You need toe caps!!!

  • u should put ur balance on ur big toe not to ur 5th toe it's not good but nice arch!

  • . I also recommend the Solo's on you because they seem to be a better fit for your feet.

  • You may just need to buy to pairs of shoes, one pair fitting your right foot and one pair fitting your left foot so you can mix them in order to match them if you follow me.

  • wow. i dance in pointes but i think that you should dance in the shoes you feel most confortable in.:)

  • im for the suffolk solo with thin pads but honestly take the ones that you feel most compfy dancing in :)

  • i would wear the suffolk solos. i had them and loved them. and about your left foot you should use bunheads on both feet so that the feel is similar but then use cottonwool or something similar to fill out the left. :)

  • you could try putting 2 pairs of original toe pads on the left foot because it could be the other toe pads that aren't right for your foot.

  • You can use cottonwool to make the shoe of the smaler foot fit better.

  • The fact that yr feet slide into the shoes so easily even with pads suggest that they are way too big! Also looking around the back of the shoe, they look way too big too! I'm not familiar with other brands but Grishko's need to be really tight to pull on! When shoes are too big it can cause untold damage, almost more than if shoes are too tight. Yes you may need to own 2 pairs, and although that costs in the beginning, it will last you twice as long. Alternate pairs each day so they dry well.

  • Comment removed

  • try buying the same shoe but in to different sizes just ask the sales lady and explain why hope this helped!

  • i think its capeizo(or however you spell it) that has like a make it fit kit for dancers with 2 different size feet you should try it!

  • @CYBdancer4life I think they are too soft for her feet.

  • @CYBdancer4life Its Gaynor you can buy it at discount dance :)

  • You just need to pull up through the top of your foot a little more :)

  • The solos look better!!

  • you seemed to have trouble in the first pair and they don't look like they fit your feet very well. The second pair, however, fit your feet much nice and it doesn't seem like you are struggling. For the sizing issue, I had a friend with the same problem. You'll have to get to pairs of shoes but in different sizes

  • you were pronating in both shoes

  • bye 2 pair in different sizes

  • @beautysquids But won't that cost twice as much, and you only get one pair of shoes?

  • oh crap... i just rembered that pointe shoes dont have a left or a right... now i look real stupid...

  • @mackat888

don't worry, I didn't remember that either xD

  • the first pair seems somewhat big in the back, and the box looks like its digging into your foot a little (um ouch!!)

the second ones looks much nicer and easier to dance in :D

  • your feet look great! tho the second pair is better, u look like ur gonna be great on pointe!

  • definately the second pair...the first pair looks like it doesnt fit your foot correctly

  • the first shoes seem to look too big in the back...

the second pair look nice but i think your balancing too much on the edge of your box

  • if you can afford them, custom pointe shoes or 2 different pairs would probably be the best, but the shoes you have now look really god on you. also it looks like using the thicker padding would be best....or i know gaynor minden makes heel grips for the purpose of filling out extra heel space in shoes. hope this helps and good luck!!!

  • your feet are great but looked horrible in the first pair...the seccond look good as long as they support you, they seem too though and look good...good luck on that lol ^-^

  • love the second pair!!!

  • go with the second pair, they fit you better

  • Your arches are GREAT but this pointe shoes are not right for you

  • Try sewing your elastics further back. This will help the shoe to grip your ankle much tighter and prevent the back of the shoe slipping off.

  • In the first pair it looks like your foot is sinking down a lot, so the second pair seems to fit a lot better. With thinner pads, your right foot seems to sink down more too, so the first time with the other pads was definitely better.

  • the second pair looks alot better then the first

  • you need to point your foot more

  • your should get a custom pair or you need to break in the box a little more like the outside so it be comes less resistant

  • you should co custome the box doesnt fit ur stylefoot well hope this helps!!!

  • thick pads!

  • hi im 11 and im going on pointe this year i need lots of tips please tell me ?btw ure awsome i think u shud get a smaller size on yur left foot

  • hey can you give me some tips because im going to be at pointe shoes at this year.. but im just 11 years old .. can you give me tips too be balance at pointe shoes ??

  • I think you should get a different pair? What kind of shoe do you have? And do you have a heal that twists in your shoe? I do and I have Aspirations by Bloch. Try those. :)

  • Are the colorful pointe shoes bad because I've been on pointe for 2 years and I was just wondering

  • love your feet

  • Doesn't answer your question but you have a lovely arch :)

  • i think you need to get different sized pointe shoes but otherwise they look amazing! And don't wear them to long without ribbons or elastic or you can break them in wrong.

  • im 14 and im starting ballet some people think its too late is it?? can i still go on pointe one day??

  • Great video. Thanks!

  • I think that you just need to buy two different size pointe shoes
