  • My sister was in there... and she had to drive half way across town to pick me up from school

  • Class dismissed

  • It's got to be actual fraud. Strange thing to say just before an earthquake... Maybe it was "actual fraud"? HAARP anyone?

  • stay clam please

  • I was in this lecture! Kinda forgot to go under the desk because i just froze - scariest moment of my life! Thanks for the last line of notes that i missed!

  • I think I heard one of the students asking "Is this on the exam?"

Seriously, I visited your hallowed halls in '85 and it's heartbreaking to see what's happened to your fine city and its wonderful people. Anyone who's ever been there is shaking their head at the losses...and wishing you all the best in your recovery.

  • I was in this class too.

I had just seen a big black spider walk across the back and neck of some older fella sitting in front of me, and thought to myself "man I wish I had gotten a photo of that!"

My notes go up to "It has to be actual fraud", then the shit hits and fan and everything started rumbling around like nobodies bizz. Thanks for sharing this so I could add "but it can't be equitable fraud" on the end! ;)

  • @rusticrobbo I was thinking exactly the same thing, I still had my notes open (plus chips of paint on my laptop keys) and it said "It has to be actual fraud". I didn't fill in the last bit, just left a couple of lines, wrote "Earthquake" and saved it. I feel so lucky that we were all safe, and so sad for those who aren't.

  • @TheBlah777Blah Yep. The whole thing rips my gruts clean off to be honest. It will be interesting to see the recorded video from this class too though aye.

  • Featured on One News yesterday and both 3 News and Campbell Live today.

  • It was in A3.

  • @Simulato Yep, sorry you're right, just checked my timetable. See you there when all this is over :) It was the first lecture of the year that I have actually remembered to take it out at the end, I've had to pick it up from Level 5 of Law Building once already. Glad I remembered Tuesday.

  • @TheBlah777Blah Hah, that was definitely lucky. I'm glad I didn't take my voice recorder, I just know I would've left it there, and that thing was super expensive. And yeah, I genuinely can't wait to get back to land law. :( The first lecture was so good!

  • I thought the quake went on longer than that?

  • @wishes1973 When you're frightened your perception of time slows down

  • @Astbruchgefahr omg yeah i thought it went for about 40-60 seconds...weird!

  • Ohhhhh Why the end of the lecture ?? LOL

  • what room was this in? i was in A4, it sounded about the same in there. extremely frightening.

  • @SamamasKellaholic I'm pretty sure it was A2, I was desperately hoping for our 2 hour lecture to finish - it certainly did.

  • i asked her for a hug but she just laughed...i was serious =( (not really but would've been cool) glad nothing fell down on anyone
