yes this is the original version. this was what MDD came up with before Chad Kroger from Nickleback discovered them and rewrote half their songs to make them 10 times better. If you go to the MDD official website it tells you on there.

And yes I agree that this version is seriously so stupid. Its disappointing to know that Chad Kroger is what really made the band what it is today.
