Okay, I've had knives since I was 7 and 8 years old. And I grew up around guns. But to have a knife, just like with a gun, a 7 year old has to know the rules. First off, he has to know that you don't bring it to school. Secondly he has to know the knife isn't his (Because under law the knife is NOT his unless he's over 18.) That means the knife is not his to give away to anyone. This kid never had the rules explained to him, and he doesn't understand them.
