  • D.Free, I don't take anything away from his accomplishments. He has served his Country. I am offended by the way in which he blatantly disregarded his constituent. He spoke highly of the Republican Party, even stomping for McCain. Then, overnight, when the Pubs lost, his chance of reelection slipped away. His switch was more about him than it was about endorsing the Democratic Party/standing up for his political beliefs. His move was transparent. Obviously, you don't take issue with his actions.

  • RamenAvenger, I stopped voting for Specter when he allowed Clinton to escape justice. When I heard him speak at a McCain/Palin rally, I thought maybe he saw the light, but then, I thought again. It turned out that my gut feeling on him was correct; he can't be trusted. Not that many politicians can, but with him, it's a given. Specter doesn't get it, he IS the joke to most Republicans. He as given us reasons to question his loyalty, his promises and his judgment.
