The work of sages. All is perfect (i.e. in tune), but Maya (i.e. the one seen as many cast as the Moon) eclipses reality (i.e. unity represented by Sun) so long as the mind remains fettered with All that you touch etc...
The cover : An equilateral triangle (i.e. a subject in space and time), a single ray striking it (i.e. consciousness), and the One appearing as many (i.e. prism). A perfect glyph.
May you all attain the Summum Bonnum, Stone of the Wise, Perfect Bliss and True Happiness.
Apparently, when Waters, or whoever said, "There is no dark side..." You can hear a kind of orchestratic version of "Ticket To Ride," by The Beatles, can anyone hear it, cause I really can't.
Maybe it is just a myth, like how in The Gig song, Troy can be heard saying "I never said I was afraid of Dorothy..."
@gorillazhead Yup, I can hear it. Get the CD, put it on your iPod/MP3 Player, put on headphones and turn it up to maximum. Right after the end, over the heartbeat, you can just hear it. Just make sure there'es nothing next in your playlist otherwise it'll be on full volume all of a sudden and you don't want that. I know form experience.
And that was Puddie Watts, wife of one of Pink Floyd's roadies. She said 'I never said I was frightened of dying.'
without the darkness, one would not recognize the light. There will always be fear and unconsciousness...and love and consciousness. Lets just hope we all wake the fuck up!
@vonxXxconxXxthe3rd i was about 8 when my dad got the cd version (already had the vinyl version) i went through every emotion listing to this album and when the last note of eclipsed played my life was changed forever and i'm now 17
Well, Dark Side of the Moon can't really be treated as ten separate songs, more as just a few big ones - the last five tracks (Money, Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage and Eclipse don't actually have any pauses in between them, just a change of rhythm or something like that. If you look at it that way, Eclipse is just the last two minutes of a a song about twenty-three minutes long. :)
Well, I guess that's why I made a playlist of the whole album instead of just picking out a few good ones like Us and Them and Money. Have you listened to the rest?

@AJRead2 Yeah, I know it wasn't Troy singing, but the myth goes that she say's it partway through the song, which she never did.

Is it really this short? This is an amazing song and a great end to their album; why is it this short?

@AJRead2 The first five don't have any pauses either though, all songs on either side of the vinyl segue together :)
