i must say that this is not completely horrible but it still definitely lacks vocal prowess. The males in this choir overall lack the ability to keep a note and therefore it can by said that they need vocal training. The boys in general bring the choir down and i don't see how u guys won with this piece at festival.
Now on the issue of Ardenne being a better choir...tht is just funny cus tht's not true. Altho Ardenne might manage to have better tone at times, tht's about it. GHS is much better overall when u think of Creativity, Arrangement, Costuming & Staging (esp make-up and colour) all of which (and more) that Ardenne lacks big time!
1st I must say big ups to Mr. Edwards 4 such a creative arrangement. Good start guys. However, the voices started 2 deteriorate soon after. Watch the endings of the phrases; u tend 2 go flat & it sounds discordant eg. "fevER". When the males came in with "Ladies if ur ready..." tht was horribly flat. Be careful! On the other hand, the DJ was beyond excellent...good style and enunciation. Liked the diff parts coming in at intervals during the DJ. Costumes and staging mad again! Thumbs up 4 that.
Well, I'm the first to comment. Absolutely wonderful. Glenmuir, you have a way of arranging songs, it's just unbelievable! Genres don't limit your capabilities. Oh, the dj hard!
