The Eurovision Song Contest 2004, the 49th in the series, was held in the Abdi İpekçi Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, with the final on 15 May 2004 and the new semi-final three days earlier on 12 May. This was the first occasion in which the contest was held in Turkey.
Isn't this taken from Abbacadabra, a TV musical produced originally on French TV in the 1980's featuring ABBA's songs? The musical follows fairytales including Aladdin so perhaps the eastern influence comes from there. (I don't particulary think it is Turkish however)
no. its from the swedish melofyfestival. in sweden there is a contest to choose who will represent sweden in EVSC. and this was the entertainment while the swedish people were voting. it was held in stockholm, where ABBA won the melodyfestival and were sent to EVSC and then won it.
Its has truly begun.A8BA just go on and on and on.They are truly incredible.May their music inspire for many many years to come.I know it will.LONG LIVE A8BA!

Either you don't know Abbacadabra or you don't know the Eurovision Song Contest!
This was the entertainment section between the singing of the songs and the voting, and it was held in Turkey in 2004.
