How come the same band, that produced the amazing Wishbone Ash album (1970), went down so quickly right after? What is this?! Pop-rock? What the hell...
Singer here sounds a bit like Burton Cummings - The Guess Who. Just a good singer comment no need for a head bashing ok. If so ahead of time i'll say cram Andy's electric-V up your ass u good4nothing hater who should have better things to do than to come on a great artist' sight and blast a loving long-time fan of WBA for NO particular reason besides some bloody past childhood incident that's over now buddy get a hold ok? grin
This is a good song but Wishbone 4 was completely different from Argus and it really is an uneasy fit on a reissue of Argus. Argus was a masterwork and should only ever have been issued as it originally appeared in my opinion.
Yes, i think now everybody knows that this song is on Wishbone Four. Guys, listen to everything of this guys, most underrated band of this planet......
These guys were still rocking when Lady Fricking GaGa was conceived. It only proves that today's kids don't know crap about good music. This is a gem of a song.
@TheDarkKerman I applaud you for having good taste in good music. Spread the word of this music to your friends especially those who are sick of today's poser acts.
I don't understand why the ended the album with this song. Actually, I think it would have been better to leave it out of the album and just use it as a B-side.
@7OFNFV3088 The same track is on "Wishbone Four" which is their biggest successful album in the US. It was a B-Side for both songs on "Argus" & "Wishbone Four." So it's hard telling what album this originally was featured on. W-Ash should have released it as an A-Side. I think this would've been their breakthrough hit.
Not typical proggish Ash, but a seriously great song nonetheless- a song the Stones wish they had written. This version is good, but the later version w/ the horns is even better...

Well, yeah, this was just a bonus track on the re-issue of Argus. This song is actually from the Wishbone Four album, as stated by some comments.

Correction. Wishbone was rocking long, long before Lady GaGa's mother ever conceived her. This is good music & anything from today just plain sucks!

@Bitteulze
I believe it was added on the reissue as a bonus track.
The copy of Argus I have ends with Throw Down the Sword.

@sixbladeknife44 I thought the horns drowned out the classic sound of the "Argus" version of the song. I'll have to hear it again.
