Is that an intercooler at the base of the blower? If so, I wouldn't think you'd need it running methenol. What's the blower drive ratio? Will larger header primaries lower the EGT?

While WyoTech certainly will give you a grasp on the basics, nothing beats hands on experience in the form of an apprentice or intern.
Most knowledge currently held in this field is unfortunately not passed on, at this moment, through text books.

It could be a 400sbc .060 overbore. I didn't do any calculations on that, though.

two totally different motors.
383 is either a downstroked 350 crank in a 400 or a 350 with a 400 crank.
the 416 uses a 400 block.

That is the intake manifold. The panel in the front is a burst panel to relieve pressure in case of a backfire.

Most of the time, when building engines of this nature, we put the BBC crank snout on it for peace of mind.
I know people who don't, but the option is there and it doesn't cost that much more to do. Safety first.

Chebby engines are made to go in Chebby cars. You can make the same power with your Ford engine..just cost more. At least its authentic. IMO

Be prepared for some start up prep with that type of mechanicle injection. It's for racing engines.
