Keep your blue dot at the top and when our pokemon is nearly half way round from the top of the wheel press a and theres a 33.3% chnce of gettuing ur pokemon, thats what I did and i won on my first try!

Actually, it's a good question...if he'd just used Sunny Day and Solarbeamed the Wartortle, then Pidgeot could have Aerial Aced the Delcatty for better damage (probably) and finished the battle quicker...then again, the OP can battle however he/she wants. Still, would have been a better tactic.
