This is how I understand it, correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 99% sure it's right.

You're not supposed to have any contact with your friends & family during these reality competition shows without prior approval from the producers, and, generally, they have to be present when the contestant does so. When the producers found out Gabriel was using his Blackberry to contact his family, they voided his contract and disqualified him due to this particular clause that he (and everyone else) signed.

I'm starting to get the feeling that LCS is about being as obnoxious as you can. Oh yeah, and coming up with a punch line. Nobody seems to know how to set up a joke anymore...much less tell a story. Gabriel has learned very well that comedians are storytellers. If the joke isn't arbitrary in relation to the story you're telling, it's probably not any good. One minute you think he's headed for a lame fat joke but it always ends up being something more.

I think the problem is, these competitive reality shows have judges that are old hasbeens, or have no talent left at all anymore. Its just marketable faces. For most of these judges its just a career saver or starter. Half of these judges couldnt compete in these pools even if they tried anymore or never were able too. I believe the true test of judging is by your peers.
