@hellomynameisnipple - Search steampunk, it's about Victorian era science fiction, a popular genre at sci-fi conventions. There are many people involved in this in terms of music, literature, jewelry, and props. It is a form of cosplay. There is a slideshow from Dragoncon on my channel if you would like to see more. Thanks for watching.
@UpNorthGameReviews - Such a hater! My channel is currently receiving over 3,000 hits per day and I have 340 subscrbers. My props have won awards at sci-fi conventions and galleries ask for them. This genre is obviously not for you and you are now blocked from further comments, Queer? You obviously have not seen the girls that steampunk attracts, you prepubescent punk.
Why so many dislikes? This is really, really awesome. If it were made into a real firing gun, this would be amazing. I like the mechanism and interleaving barrel banks.
@Pilotgeek Thank you for your kind words. I recently had an explosion of viewings and I think youtube is pushing me to groups who have no knowledge of or interest in steampunk. They come expecting some real weapon of mass destruction and become angry when they find out I only make props for display at sci-fi conventions and steampunk gatherings. I delete and block the more graphic comments because I can and have no reason to endure them.
@19HOMEMADE86 - Thanks for your comment. This is of course a plastic toy gun refinished and given a backstory. It was made for use at sci fi conventions and steampunk gatherings where fanciful weapons abound and real weapons will get you thrown out and likely arrested. I do need to add some Victorian bling to take it back in time a little more. I would also like to motorize it...
@TheSouthernGentleman - Thank you for your refreshing comment. I have endured much abuse from many non-steampunks recently. Most have been deleted and their authors blocked. Posting videos on youtube is not for the timid! I think this and my other videos are being promoted to audiences that are not my original target through no fault of my own.
@enganear I understand totally. I don't know if I can rightly call myself a steam punk, but as an amateur writer with fascination for the late 19th century I naturally also take great interest in what might have been technology wise. Such as if internal combustion had never been devolved and instead steam power was expanded upon and used for more varied applications.
@PassivelyActive - I created these videos for my friends in the steampunk community. YouTube has seen fit to promote them to other groups that are considerably less civil. The posts I delete are insulting and offensive, not expressing disagreement with the subject of the video. I have no reason to endure this and always block the user before deleting. I could just turn comments off as many do, but then I would be blocking my intended audience as well. Censorship? Indeed!
@italianguns - The props I make are for open display at conventions and steampunk gatherings. Carrying a real gun would rightfully get you tossed out and likely arrested. I have many real guns, but I do not need them to assert my sexuality as a view of your channel would suggest is of importrance to you.
@dub40mdm - I want to do a lot with this particular gun because looking back, I am not very happy with it. I want to motorize the movement of the barrels and add some Victorian bling.
@randomperson110 - The top barrel on each rotating section fires when the breech slide is slammed forward. This gave the gun its high rate of fire. It was quite dangerous to friends as well as foes in the hands of an inexperienced soldier. Disclaimer: this is not a real weapon...
Suggestion for your Steampunk propgun... Get a pepperbox revolver. Same concept, barrels rotate, runs off black powder (something available in the steam punk era). You'll want the one with 6 - 8 barrels.
@hellfireinator - Gee thanks! I used brown Krylon Fusion Shimmer on the hand grip and handle. It doesn't really stand out in the video, but it is the first thing everyone comments on when they hold it. The shiny brass effect is obtained with a product called Liquid Leaf.
It doesn't look like it could possibly work. This makes it a bad prop. Just saying.

@enganear The timid delete posts they don't agree with instead of letting them ride. Nice form of censorship, don't you think?
Nice gun by the way.
