The AH designation does refer to it's mission in theater. The little birds of 160th perform that mission very well. They "attack and destroy" with both weapons and spec ops personnel.

Not all pictured are "A"H-6s. A couple shots of the earlier and original airframe the OH-6A. Including a pic of one I used to fly in the National Guard. Probably belongs to the border patrol now.
