@omidr This is performned under general anesthesia by the anesthesiologist. They simulate breath holding and "bearing down" by increasing intrathoracic pressure. This in turn increases intracranial pressure causing CSF to leak out of a small tear if present.
How do u ask the patient to do Valsalva maneuver. Is the surgery done under Local Anesthesia?
