Hey just spoke to a Sprint Supervisor and he stated that due to the fractured business venture with Palm they are only focusing on Android. They will not be caring HP Phones for the forseeable future. They just let me out of my contract. Ordered my Pre 2 will be here on Wed according to Verizon.
I have a Palm Pre Plus, I've been on the Palm bandwagon since 2001, but after this gaff by HP/Palm I am done with this company! Web OS is the most amazing OS out there, but the fuck ups running the show are the most amazing dumbass' the electronics world has ever seen.

HP did a nice job making the phones incompatible with the tablet. Tablet has gyro but no gesture area. Phones have gesture area but no gyro. Holy sheet.
HP might have done better just making 10,000 or so really cool apps and making sure the current customers got this update. The Pre 3 should have gotten the same dual core processor as the Touchpad with a Gig of ram too. Oh well. I still miss cards cause WebOS multitasking is still unmatched imho but they really gave people no choice but to move on.
So they spent two hours talking about devices half a year off, replace the anemic Pre 2 before it even goes on sale and don't even TOUCH on the horrific battery life that plagued the Pre? Instead they boost it by a measly 10% and instead DOUBLE the processor speed and quadruple the screen resolution? Holy fuck, this device'll run for 10 minutes in standby. No wonder they won't shut up about the Touchstone. It's mandatory at this point because they have some aversion to making normal-size devices
Fuck you. WebOS 2.0 isnt coming to the original devices. I have supported you with my youtube channel and been apart of the enthusiastic community. "Available in the summer" means that there will be an announcement in literally the last week of august announcing preorders within "the coming weeks". Then - by the end of september - you'll actually be able to preorder. After a few more delays shipping will begin in october - but only in the US. The rest of the world will have to wait another 6 months ...
... because apparenty its really fucking hard for a big company to swap out a couple of keys on a physical keyboard. So they'll announce a european version of the Pre 3 "the beginning of 2012". Obviously this wont happen, because by that time literally EVERYBODY will be walking around with iPhone 5's, dual-core androids and the newest QNX blackberrys. So they'll (probably justly) think in uneconomical to even release outside of the US. End of story.

OMG! I was so waiting for HP to bring it. But, it never happened :( I have the 1st Pre and finding out that I won't get a update to 2.0 and the same old form factor as the pre.
