  • To TheSnortingPig look up Sue and Sonny on wikipedia

  • Cannot be certain but I believe her name was SUE GOVER

  • About 5 years ago at a party I bet someone that I could find out the name of the girl who sings "So meet me where the rainbow ends". It's proving impossible - even Steve Ellis doesn't seem to know - anybody got any clues? I never give up on anything yet I still have a bet to pay if I fail !!!

  • @TheSnortingPig someone called Carol Brett apparently

  • one of the best of the 60s

  • love it love it love it !!!!!! - Saw Love affair at my local theatre- what a night - great memories and the teens loved it !!! - feel privileged to have been born at the time of the greatest music ever !!!

  • 0:35 Moef Gaga?

  • I remember pressing my levis and getting ready to go out for the evening, there was nowhere in the world that I would have rather been and no one else that I would have rather have been with than Suzy Jarvis. Its just a shame her dad was such a nasty midget, and that he heard me say he belongs in the fucking circus...oh well great music and fun times.

  • who's the girl with the beautifull vioce?

  • What a scary video! What where the guns all about-espcialy when singing a song about Rainbow valley! I remember them doing this on TOTP and Steve getting it badly wrong-nevertheless a great singer-anyone know what he's up to now?

  • @JTSmusic he's touring with chris farlow a mod night , check your local theatre listings .

  • @JTSmusic 'ironic juxaposition' ~ imagine trying to do that today ~ lol!

  • one of my favourite songs love the female vocal goes so well

  • It's quite a slow song, so why are some of the band members having a bit of a fit?

  • Glad I was born in the 50's. I used to dance like the girls in the video. Great memories. Met them personally and they were lovely and funny. Wish we could turn the clock back. Has anyone got a video of the love affair with rainbow valley on top of the pops? That would be great. Thanks x

  • I'm just so glad to have been a teenager then. we played this one many a time on the juke box in a certain pub in Neath south wales. the sixties will live forever. so many great comments from many people who lived in that wonderful era.

  • Fantastic song ... from a fantastic era .. imagine health and safety, and terroism laws allowing machine guns on stage nowdays ... great memories. thanks for the upload. xxx

  • Okay, new discoveries continuing for me. So, it's true, there seems to have been massive numbers of bands, they may have been one hit wonders or survived long enough to make an album.

  • Today's music is total shit.

  • @geordiejohn1000 LOL.. oic, hmm I have a friend from county Durham who was always taken for a geordie he was from Stanley :) but you and I both know thats wrong...definition of a geordie? you have to have been born on the river Tyne, me? born in South Shields :) my Mum was from Langley Moore yes in county Durham,, i wish I was right now in Rainbow Valley, never tire of this great song.......

  • Very nice song, but really crazy video.

  • Great record, but like so many from '68 it features the singer plus an orchestra with a few token 'rock' instruments thrown in rather than the actual band to whose name the record is attributed. Not only that, but no-one from the band had anything to do with the writng of the song. Still, Steve Ellis did have a great voice and haircut. What's Rex Brayley up to these days, I wonder?

  • Love this song to bits they don't make them like that anymore,

  • Well, anyway, one the greatest records made in the sixties. Timeless, great, history is made trough this record.........

  • Takes me back to my childhood days :-) best music years 60, 70s

  • backing vocalist is sonny of doctors orders fame

  • This is from the Dutch tv-program "Moef Gaga" Beat and beat girls. ' 65 ''- '66'.

  • Anyone tell me the name of the girls singing backing vocals?

  • @derbbus , the female backing vocalist was Sonny of doctors orders fame.

  • London Mods - 60s. I feel sorry for those who never experienced all that. Great times indeed.

  • Absolutely shit hot, wish I could just drop back in time to then, what great times, what great music, we were really lucky as a generation to be there when it all happened. I am gonna sound like my dad now, but isn't the general standard of music today absolutely crap. Till someone invents a time machine, I shall heave to make do with things like this and all my wonderful memories.

    Thanks for posting.

  • Absolutely,we took it all for granted,timeless classic,10/10

  • Great words, tearfully i feel exactly the same, an era that had heart and soul, as the music accentuates.

  • couldnt agree more with your views i too had the pleasure to be around at the same time, have you seen the "everylasting love" video on you tube posted from ampsnbits.
