I've owned many, many cars through BMW's to Mercs, from MG's to VW's - but this model of Alfa was and still is the car I loved the most and wish I had never sold mine back in the 80's....
love it. my father had one, only 1.3 but with 2 double carbouraters... my father's had the disk brakes near the gear box... alfa's engeniers said it was best, because of suspended weight in the suspension... it had the Clover in the side rear panel.... than it died of rust
the thing i remember well was one time my father took it all the way and the needle in the KM/h gauge went arround passsing the 200km/h mark reaching the 20... lol, loved it
I have got a very good hint for you to keeping the nice old Alfa Engine in good shape with todays ultra dry eco fuels: Use 1:100 API TC two stroke oil / fuel mix as regular driving fuel, that keeps the old fuel-system gaskets, rubber parts, alloy parts etc... and cast iron metal surfaces of those vintage engines in excellent shape...and it also lubricates the valves and upper piston regions. Most Porsche vintage owners in Germany do so :) Also keeps carbs and EFi injectors clean as new!
Beauty! I had a 1984. Sprint and can't get over her. I want to buy another one but I can't decide on older model like this originally restored or styled one.
What a beautiful car! I've got a 1977 alfasud sprint 1.3, with a 1.5 mounted. Theres going to be a lot of work before it looks as good as yours though!
It seems to be a lot more ride height on the drivers side.. How come?
ik heb hem 5jaar geleden compleet gerestaureerd.en gestraald en daarna compleet overnieuw gespoten.en nu een 1.7 16v blok er in gehangen, met een programeerbare ecu van het merk kdfi

Fantastica. A friend of mine once have a "Pearl White" one 1500. With a few customized tricks was faster than Wolk's GTI 1800.

ronal 15' 195 x 45 x 15
pieter434 2 years ago
@Mitsimad I am not sure what the name is but they strongly resemble the official Alfa Romeo wheel on the SZ.
daredd5 1 year ago
@Mitsimad The wheels are Ronal A´1. They measure 7x15", but I can´t remember the offset. They look the business, but they are really heavy!

Heeft vast en zeker jarenlang in een droge en verwarmde garage gestaan of een grondige antiroest-behandeling gehad.
