Marcos was the United States' dictator - similar to those the US installed in South America. The second part of the video eerily describes what is happening now in the United States with its suspension of certain civil liberties in the name of safety and "freedom".

Sen. Benigno S. Aquino Jr. He truly serves as an inspiration to all Filipino, a great patriot, a genuine hero. Of all those who could've been president, Ninoy was the greatest that Philippines never had. He's so inspiring. It gives me the chills when he speaks. You are an inspiration to all Filipinos. Sir Ninoy is the greatest hero of all time, the greatest president we never had. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SACRIFICE OF YOUR LIFE FOR OUR COUNTRY.
Sabi ng prof ko, hindi daw ganung buti si Ninoy but I beg to differ. I give the benefit of the doubt that my prof has not yet read about Ninoy sufficiently so he have those kind of statement against him. You, Ninoy, was, is and always be a hero.
Wish I could speak as brilliant as Sen. Ninoy Aquino. He's a real inspiration to all the Filipino. A great patriot; A GENUINE HERO, trully deserves a GENUINE RESPECT.
lets give noynoy the benefit of the doubt. hes only starting. i expect a lot from him. not to mention all good and noble thing that his father done for us and our country. lets not quit on his propagandas. maybe soon and i pray that he will achieve all the necessary steps to take us all in glory for this country.
Its too bad philippines haven't improved after Marcos. You may say there's still a lot of debt from the Marcos years but i think the regime instilled a kind of mindset into all filipinos mind that sort of widen the gap between the rich and the poor. i've spoken to many filipinos and many of them are still proud that they graduated from this private school and this college and etc. they should be sad that they have to pay so much just for a proper education.
I propose to add subtitles to Ninoy's speech to make it more interesting to watch. I am going to do it for free. Please contact me if you approve. Thanks.
@moonskamote umm sorry to correct you a little but he's not our president or did he become a president but he is the second greatest national hero. HE ROCKS!!!
Sorry to correct your correction, but didn't you get the metaphor?
Kaya nga sabi nya "we NEVER had" eh...because he wasn't!
What "moonskamote" was trying to say is: of all those who could've been president, NINOY was the GREATEST the Philippines NEVER had! It was actually former senate president Jovito Salonga who coined that phrase...and he was right.
If you don't like this video, don't fucking watch it...assholes!

@anzsai One day Mr. marcos decided to visit the psychopathic institution, the director of the institution trained all the patients to respond to the presiden'ts speech, 1 fingers means applause, 2 fingers means applause with standing ovation and 3 fingers means applause while jumping for joy, after Mr. Marcos finished his speech he noticed one man who is just sitting there without any expression,Mr. Marcos asked the director why and the director responded that that man is already mentaly Healthy
We still believe in you as we do your parents.

Ninoy was such an awesome orator! He knew what to do so the audience can warm up to him...and what's the best way to do that? "BREAK THE ICE" by telling jokes!
0:35 Parang si Mr. Danny Lamilla yung kumakanta ah!
If you compare the accent of the guy singing 'Listen to the Story' and that of Mr. Lamilla when he was introducing Senator Ninoy Aquino, they are nearly both the same! :D
Kung si RJ man ang kumanta nito for the MFP, sana after EDSA 1 ay narinig ko man lang sa RJ 100.3 ang music na kinanta nya for Ninoy! =(
I hope all leaders watched this entire speech of sen.ninoy in order for them to know what is the real purpose why they are in there position. Thanks a lot natv for sharing this, I’m a young adult and it is good to know that we had leaders in the past who has a real integrity to be a leader.
@tyetus1010 If Ninoy is alive today, I believe Kris wouldn't be the "tactless" person that she's become. Ninoy was known to be a strict but loving father...so I don't think he'll let Kris be involved with older men like Phillip Salvador or Joey Marquez.
Thank you, very much for uploading this video, this was my dad told me last time " if you wanna know more about NINOY, kahit na link by link, bit by bit, piece by piece putting it together you can have more idea who was this hero that i admired most of my life " and dad was not wrong.. Now i can say before my classmates in school that i walk with NINOY yesterday.. and now I AM NINOY !
IMELDA,FERDINAND MARCOS MARTIAL LAW IS A PART OF OUR HYSTORY THAT SHOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED TO BE FORGIVEN NOR FORGOTTEN..
WE OWE IT TO THOSE WHO WERE TORTURED/MURDERED DURING THAT DARK REGIME TO SEEK JUSTICE FOR THEM..
ang kapal tlaga ni imelda to claim that she is a human rights victim, masunog ka sa impyerno demonyo
Well, my fellow Filipino, I think your hopes have been fulfilled. His only son is now the President of our beloved homeland. Let us pray that he will be THE one who can finally move this country forward. Ninoy died for democracy; Cory lived to protect it; Noynoy is now for working for the sake of it. Ituloy natin ang Laban. :-)
I want to have a full video of these a long time now, since it was released. I can't find and I don't know where to find or to buy it. Could anybody help me on these, please? The full coverage speech of Ninoy in LA on Feb 1981. Thanks.
Now I do believe that things and events happen for a reason and that everything... From Ninoy Aquino's assassination, his wife, former Pres. Cory aquino's rise to presidency for democracy and now...their son, Noynoy Aquino, the newly-elected President of the Philippines... For those who witness all these chain of events, as sad or happy as it may be, these events happen because it is meant to be... what if Ninoy wasn't assassinated then the story is different, right?! Let's hope for the best!!
we just visited the aquino museum it was amazing to know how great they are truly they are the changes weve been looking for ....for those who will visit check out the books the t-shirts are good too
Ninoy: The meaning of preventive detention is, if Mr. Marcos thinks that next month you will commit a crime, he can now order you arrested so you will not be able to commit your crime. (crowd laughed) Anong klaseng batas yan?
@mitsubishidiamante Actually, this tape saw the light of day only after Marcos was ousted. Back then, this video can only be seen whenever someone has a smuggled tape from the US...because the dictatorship considered this tape as subversive that if you got possession of this (among other Ninoy videos) it'll be confiscated or worse you might get the ire of the authorities.
My uncle used to have this video on betamax along with the TBS assassination recordings; and they were all confiscated!
Naging mainstream nalang ito after the first EDSA Revolution.
I remember na pinapalabas ito sa PTV-4 every August 21 during Cory's term...along with "The Heart and The Soul" by the late Teodoro Benigno.
@ninjasagaaddict Yes there is...I'm watching and listening to it as we speak.
Sadly, the betamax tape where this video was recorded used a MONOphonic sound...so Ninoy's speech would only be heard on the LEFT side of your speakers (or earphones).
If you still don't hear anything...it's no longer the video's problem.
True NATV. It's the same with my Ninoy/Cory phone (which has a pre-installed recording of this speech, Ninoy's last phone call with Steve Psinakis, Cory's speech in the US Congress and her last SONA in '91). Unlike the rest of the recorded speeches, I could only listen to it on the left side of my earphones.
Bar the excerpts of Ninoy's last phone call (it was taken from the docu-movie 'Last Journey of Ninoy') and Pres. Cory's last SONA (from fellow Youtube user RedSeptember21), halos lahat ng mga Ninoy/Cory-related content were from NATV's vids!
As for your question, yes, the speeches were COMPLETE. :-)
ganda ng joke ni ninoy! grabe! to all those who can't get the joke, basically when he said that all of the patients of mental hospital responded to the sign when marcos came they obey but when the old man didn't respond the director said he is cured and soon be released meaning those who obey marcos are like patients of mental hospital! really great speech!
"Among the presidential candidates for 2010, not one of them can match the charisma of Ninoy Aquino" i agree with you brother even Noynoy Aquino. but im still hoping that senator Noynoy will put an end to our long suffering day into day many fillipino's are dying because they are still living below poverty line no foods no medication no shelter because of corruption. I wish that one of this day before may 2010 election that this speech of great NINOY AQUINO will be aired in different TV station
hello sir, ninoy mentioned something in his speech that he was invited to columbus, ohio and he was asked to speak in three or four occasions or something like that....I do hope hope you will really obtained that copy if ever there are any...mabuhay ka ninoy!
You know, I thought of that to myself. I think I would be the person in your Sentence. No kidding... I'm a Patriot and a Nationalist... But I'm just 18...
Among the presidential candidates for 2010, not one of them can match the charisma of Ninoy Aquino. Noynoy Aquino should realize his hesitation about running, he is still holding back his energy for the campaign. I hope the genes of his father will jumpstart him and awake the warrior within.
genius and full of humor..you are truly a leader Sir Ninoy..so dear fellow filipinos let us not waste what He had died for...let us embrace our democracy with extra care and never to abuse it..leaders conscientiously serve your people give what is due to us..may you RIP Sir Ninoy.
@simplygracious: In his words "civil disobedience becomes a sacred duty when a government becomes corrupt or lawless"
I hope we take this to heart. In the elections I interpret this as a break from the tradition, I will not vote for anyone who I think is not deserving. No more lesser evil. My ballot will have blanks this election. XD

Ninoy was such an awesome orator! He knew what to do so the audience can warm up to him...and what's the best way to do that? "BREAK THE ICE" by telling jokes!
"Palakpakan (clapping)...Sigawan (shouting/screaming)....Talunan (jumping) pa!"
Such a class act Ninoy was!

0:35 Parang si Mr. Danny Lamilla yung kumakanta ah!
If you compare the accent of the guy singing 'Listen to the Story' and that of Mr. Lamilla when he was introducing Senator Ninoy Aquino, they are nearly both the same! :D
pilipinasmabuhay100 1 year ago
@pilipinasmabuhay100
Yeah...I'm starting to believe that it's actually Danny Lamila who sang that opening number! Nice observation! ;-)
NinoyAquinoTV 1 year ago
carlistafilipino 1 year ago
@carlistafilipino Well kabayan, may hawig nga naman ang boses ni RJ sa kumanta ng opening number...pero if you also listen to Danny Lamila's intro to Ninoy, may pagkakahawig din. =)
Kung si RJ man ang kumanta nito for the MFP, sana after EDSA 1 ay narinig ko man lang sa RJ 100.3 ang music na kinanta nya for Ninoy! =(
NinoyAquinoTV 1 year ago
@NinoyAquinoTV I see. Thanks for the information.
carlistafilipino 1 year ago

I could only imagine that if Ninoy is still alive..eh nagbabaliktatan sila ni Kris sa TV. Sarap sigurong panoorin nun.
tyetus1010 1 year ago
@tyetus1010 If Ninoy is alive today, I believe Kris wouldn't be the "tactless" person that she's become. Ninoy was known to be a strict but loving father...so I don't think he'll let Kris be involved with older men like Phillip Salvador or Joey Marquez.

Now i can say before my classmates in school that i walk with NINOY yesterday.. and now I AM NINOY !

Ninoy: The meaning of preventive detention is, if Mr. Marcos thinks that next month you will commit a crime, he can now order you arrested so you will not be able to commit your crime. (crowd laughed) Anong klaseng batas yan?

this tape was all over the philippines after his death
mitsubishidiamante 1 year ago
@mitsubishidiamante Actually, this tape saw the light of day only after Marcos was ousted. Back then, this video can only be seen whenever someone has a smuggled tape from the US...because the dictatorship considered this tape as subversive that if you got possession of this (among other Ninoy videos) it'll be confiscated or worse you might get the ire of the authorities.
My uncle used to have this video on betamax along with the TBS assassination recordings; and they were all confiscated!
DarlingJuliePearl 1 year ago 15
Naging mainstream nalang ito after the first EDSA Revolution.
I remember na pinapalabas ito sa PTV-4 every August 21 during Cory's term...along with "The Heart and The Soul" by the late Teodoro Benigno.

why is there no sound?
ninjasagaaddict 1 year ago
@ninjasagaaddict Yes there is...I'm watching and listening to it as we speak.
Sadly, the betamax tape where this video was recorded used a MONOphonic sound...so Ninoy's speech would only be heard on the LEFT side of your speakers (or earphones).
If you still don't hear anything...it's no longer the video's problem.
NinoyAquinoTV 1 year ago 4
@NinoyAquinoTV
True NATV. It's the same with my Ninoy/Cory phone (which has a pre-installed recording of this speech, Ninoy's last phone call with Steve Psinakis, Cory's speech in the US Congress and her last SONA in '91). Unlike the rest of the recorded speeches, I could only listen to it on the left side of my earphones.
pilipinasmabuhay100 1 year ago
DarlingJuliePearl 1 year ago
@DarlingJuliePearl Korek ka diyan!

I wish that one of this day before may 2010 election that this speech of great NINOY AQUINO will be aired in different TV station

Among the presidential candidates for 2010, not one of them can match the charisma of Ninoy Aquino. Noynoy Aquino should realize his hesitation about running, he is still holding back his energy for the campaign. I hope the genes of his father will jumpstart him and awake the warrior within.

I hope we take this to heart. In the elections I interpret this as a break from the tradition, I will not vote for anyone who I think is not deserving. No more lesser evil. My ballot will have blanks this election. XD
