They are not going to make it for mac JUST because you asked. Just install XP . It can be installed on Macs since they started using Intel chipsets and shizz....

1) Yes, it's going to be free.
2)Because of 1) they don't have enough time nor developers so, it's only going to be available for windows.

i think she means that there is little to no support for vista programs, and many programs don't run on vista or run with many bugs and glitches.
