World rugby has seen one of the all time greats in the preditor. The preditor will always be remembered as a hard as fuk, in your face but fair All Blacks captain. People come on here to moan about something that went on on the rugby field years ago. Like the saying we have here in Aotearoa what goes on on the rugby field stays on the rugby field. You either hardened up and keep on playing or hang up your boots.
Anyway, apart from all the BoD crap I came on here 'cos I'm an Umaga fan, so apologies for getting into a silly argument, I rate this guy as an all time great who in general was very sporting. The exceptions don't make the rule, he was normally fair but tough as fuck, fair dues to him!
Does anyone know where to find fotoage of the original 'tiddley-winks' comment? I never saw it and now it's been quoted to death. A link would be greatly appreciated.
I have to agree with the fact that umaga was an awesome player and he will be remebered for that, not for that stupid tackle which may or may not have been illegal, (i think it was a good way to eliminate the best player) and he will definately not be forgotten.
True that, if you actually watch the replay of it, BOD had his hands all over that ruck, if he hadn't of been bent over the ruck so much, he would never of got lifted the way he did, not to mention the fact that they never landed him on his head, you can clearly see they turn him so he lands on his back. Fact of the matter was he knew his team was gonna lose again so BOD was cheating, saw an opportunity to get out of the game and took it. I reckon he faked that injury
@BroomeBlocker4 what a load of absolute shite! Not one fact in your ridiculous comment and suggesting that a player would "simulate" for a full 5months is just plain dumb. Cheating? He was on his feet, you're allowed to try and rob the ball when you're on your feet you moron.
@BroomeBlocker4 if your on your feet and going straight you have every right to push over to the best of your ability, it's up to the opposition to clear him out....it's how they did it that was the problem. Idiot's a compliment coming from someone who spouts the crap you come out with
No in the SH he'll be remembered as a player. Only in the NH where consistency and impartiality don't exist will they use the BOD incident to forget what an amazing player he was.
The word "accident" seems to have a different meaning in NZ to the rest of the English speaking world.
I see the All Bleaks did win a world cup in 1987, in NZ. I presume that's why they bribed the IRB into having in NZ in 2011, so they can get to the refs again and play their favourite dirty game.
Everyone knows the World Cup should've gone to Japan.
Agreed well said thanks for the view..

Great player who will always be remembered for his spear on BOD in the '05 Lions series rather than his ability as a rugby player

Dirty NZ twat, Rammed O'Driscolls head into the ground. Tana Umaga - one reason why NZ All Blacks have never won Riugby world cup.
