  • whilst the idea of modern civilisation of being wiped out is not farfetched. i don't think its inevitable and i think that is a defeatist attitude. we should always expect it as a high possibility to have a major threat, shouldn't be blind to potential threats. fusion power will come although we do not invest enough in it or any science. whilst world leaders talk pretty and others doing nothing, there are those who genuinely might save us if only called to at the last minute and forgotten.

  • Humans have fucked this beautiful planet up. What ever damage we do to it will end up coming back to bite us in a big way which is what we will deserve. Once we're gone this awsome planet will renew itself again to the paradise of beautiful plants and animals that it once was before this plague of humanity infested and exploited every inch of hit just for their own selfish gain - sadly in my own small way I'm one of them.

  • It's based on Jarred Diamond's COLLAPSE, so I am surprised he'd agree that 200 years is enough a timeframe for mankind to make a come back.

A 21st century-style, GLOBAL COLLAPSE --- regardless the causes --- with a population of 7-8B+, is very different from the local empire collapses of the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, Kmers, or Mayans.

The causes (for a global collpase) would be very great & very protracted. And the come back would take many times more energy & will be more protracted.

  • if they would have translucent laptops and i-pads then surely they would have been able to pass on from generation to generation the story of what happened before and after the collapse.. no way a society that regenerates itself so fast is not able to maintain some information about what happened for 200 years. in order to forget everything in such a short period, they would have had to turn back to living in caves. so the background story with the scientists that don't know shit sucks

  • Calinn, stop swearing. Or go back to your middle school lunch room and swear among the simple people.

It's a science fiction documentary. Storytellers have to bend a few things here and there. Do you think Ironman can actually fly in his suit? And how do you mange to get through life with no imagination?

  • @AppleSouffle first of all stop playing virgin mary and cut the crap about swearing, this isn't church and you're not my grandmother. then what's the shit about "simple people bla bla", you're somekind of chosen one and i don't know it? or you just think you have reasons to consider yourself too intelligent for this century? (if so, wanna compare IQs?). and finally, it's a documentary nonetheless, the storyline should be at least a little plausible

  • It happened before and it will happen again - and again. It's the inevitability of humankind. We get too much and too full of ourselves that things get out of control. It's just the way shit is. Something like this will probably happen way sooner than 200 years from now. The signs are posted but we're too blind to see them.

  • awesome!!!

  • I want one of those translucent laptops. I don't care how much resources it takes to produce.

  • Somebody said Western Civilization is the greatest thing that happened to man? lmao

Stop drinking the Jesus, White Supremacist juice my brother. Western Civilization has proven to be built from plundering, pillaging, and slavery. It is unsustainable socially, physically, and spiritually. European culture has created a false context that man is GOD....WRONG! We all most pay homage to Mother Earth.

  • @jsb06g western brought technology to us all..so if you are from the east then kneel and pay homage to the west because they brought you everything esp technology that makes you and your family are now enjoying...even the language that you use is from the west..now if you are ungrateful then spit out everything that the west have fed you!

  • @MrPiolo1214 also western was the one who want to take over eastern and create most wars and problem that we have today!

  • @MrPiolo1214 and the first greatest and most successful civilization is not western.

  • @jsb06g Yessa Massa Yessir Boss....Me So Dum Boss Me No Nutchin Etsep Fo Wut Gud Ole White Folk Lika U Gave Me....Europe Be Da Cratel Of Civilizin Boss....Me Be Swingin Frum Treez If Nut Fo Yo Spereor N-Telek Boss! Yessir!

  • @jsb06g shut up you hippie. the strong live and the weak die. that's life.

  • Aznredneck0311, wrong again Mister Redneck. Neanderthals were far stronger than Cro Magnons, but Cro Magnons were more intelligent, had projectile weapons, larger trading networks, bone needles and fish hooks.

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.

    Charles Darwin

  • @AppleSouffle in all seriousness thank you for that. i actually learned something. but i didn't mean strong only in a physical aspect. strong mentally, emotionally, intelligently, and etc. in your case adaptable to change made them stronger.

  • Foreseeing the future 200 years from now! This quiet amazing.

  • We are rapping our plant. We MUST learn to conserve the resources we have (food, water, power) and not waste them. The human race will survive. If we learn to conserve. If not, we will become extent. If we use less and waste less we will have to produce less. Making what we have last longer. Giving us time to figure out the next step. Right now the first step is to conserve what we have.

  • lol so if civiliation collapses every becomes desert... makes sense.....

  • I think a collapse is something the human race needs because it would wipe out all the stupid people. Whether it happens on Earth or during space colonization, stupid people will die out anyway.

  • This documentary was very intriguing...when we as society are aware of these global dangers...it kind of makes us want to try harder. Makes me want to anyway. I wish that all the capitalists around the world was aware of this and maybe they would use some of their money to contribute to the society of Earth.

  • Interesting Documentary!

  • I hope the have a vault with a backup of wikipedia.

  • Mexicans are still obsessed with warfare IMO. Thats why they love tribal gang culture, and look at Mexico today, its a warzone.

  • zombies happened

  • Lol I will be long gone from the earth by 2210. :P

  • this video is stupid

  • Lies and bullshit excuses to keep jacking up the prices of oil, food, etc, so that the rich keep robbing the poor.

  • lol, the planet is 70% water. Anyone heard of electrolysis. A little electricity, and you get pure drinking water.

  • im a button pusher and want to kill every human

  • Nuclear Fusion. All I gotta say.

  • Helios one people :D

  • Any feeling like Rage happened?

  • Comment removed

  • Brushing away sand. That's how easy digs are. Right.

  • obviously it will collapse... by humans because fucking governments want only money and dont care about us + they entoxicate air they should go and develop electric power sources instead of whining and asking what if other sources end like gasoline and so on thats just idiotic human race must learn what is humanity...

  • If this video was meant to scare me, it does not. A few decades from now, I will be on my 80's.I have gone green since 2006 and proud of it. I do my bit in recycling, buying local, etc. I loved nature and all it's gifts.I'm just glad to see the world the way it is before I die.

  • @16:18 they show the Hoover Dam basically slit in two. That dam is built of solid concrete and is 600 feet thick at its base--that's larger than the Great Pyramid of Giza. How could anything (short of a nuclear blast) destroy it in only 200 years? The pyramids are still standing and they've been around far longer than that. Besides, if someone did drop a nuclear bomb on the dam, I doubt the surrounding area would look the way it's portrayed. I hate exaggeration with a passion.

  • imdb (dot) c o m /title/tt1503769/

  • imdb (dot) com/title/tt1503769/

  • 2210 ha ha ha...very optimistic!!! People, watch Michael Ruppert's collapse ....

  • WHY?? BECAUSE THE PIECES OF SHIT FROM THE GOVERMENT DONT PREPARE US FOR DISASTERS..... I MEAN WE CAN HAVE A PEACEFULL WORLD THAT ALL CONTINENTS AGREE TO... BUT WE NEED TO KNOW NEGETIVITY SO WHEN IT COMES IT DONT HIT US HARD....... WHY ARENT WE COLONIZING OTHER PLANETS..... IS THIS WHAT OTHER ALIENS ARE DOING.... IF SOO.. THEN ONE DAY WE SHALL FIGHT! GALACTICALLY..... WE SHALL STAND BEFORE THE SUN.. AND USE PLANET SIZE FLARESS TO DEFEND OUR SOLAR SYSTEM....

  • How bout considering the Great Plague happens before your father f*cks your mother... And abandoning our civilization.. probably.. a zombie apocalypse..

  • i dont understand why so much optimism

I read that coca cola production is supposed to decrease and stabilize in 183.850.000 cans per day in 2014 aproximately

Masturbating to global warming would increase too according to FPAD

  • too much to think about, you all thing you can see the foreest for the trees

  • Global warming fanatics masturbate to this.

  • never mind energy, a civilization can prosper only if it grows. That in and of itself dooms every civilization, period.

As for food, there isn't any in civilization. The problem began as soon as someone decided it was a good idea to plant and harvest grains. Grains are not healthy food, but they're so cheap that inevitably more and more people depended on grain to survive. When it became impossible to grow the population on grain, the poisonous soybean was introduced as a meat substitute.

  • World POPULATION: 6,995,268,370

    TIME: 03:00 UTC (EST+5) Feb 19, 2012

  • "Cause one dog ain’t enough and two is too few, it’s me ‘Three Dog’ bringin’ you all the music and news your little hearts can handle!!"

  • Nuclear fusion is in the research stage and will, if successful, of which i have no doubt it will be, it will solve our electricity demands for a long time, aswell as making it much easier to use electric vehicles and overall becoming "green".

  • Unless the whole world went into a major decline. Seems kinda odd they only jumped a few hundred years into the future.

  • Interesting. I just really wish they'd put more than a couple hundred years between us. :/

  • I like how the people of the future are using Stark Industries' technology that we saw in Iron Man 2. I want to see these people build a suit in a cave....with a box of scraps!

  • @hotgirlsarehot yes bunch of crap people 200 years from now if the collapse were true would be living in very premative, compared to today lol

  • @cetnik03 You dont need advanced technology to be an archeologist.

  • One word can pretty much tell us what will cause the way of life as we know it to end. "GREED"

  • Well obviously there are scientists after the collapse and heavy industry capable of building electric dune buggies so it couldn't be too bad perhaps the future scientists would be able to remember what their grandads told them about the collapse. This Is a very enjoyable load of horse poo

  • at 1:15:00 they talk about the fall of rome, kinda sounds like north america, the gladiator contests sound like elections

  • we cant afford to stop consuming stuff. The economy would colapse. Scarcity = profit. We really need to consume more so that the economy grows.

  • THIS SHOW MAKES A LOT OF ASSUMPTIONS BASED ON THEORIES THAT AREN'T NECESSARILY THE WHOLE TRUTH.

  • OK people, don't panic. All of the disasters mentioned in this video will happen slowly over time, they won't happen overnight. That will give us time to adapt. Our civilisation is the most advanced, the most creative and the most progressive civilisation that has ever existed. We have the ability to find alternatives and adapt as needed.

  • "The future of the planet?" It costs over a hundred dollars a month to keep a car that would mostly sit in the driveway. We went from $120.00 a month for heat to $60.00 a month for heat. We don't bother with $100.00+ per month communication services.

You conserve for the same reasons you don't throw out a pair of shoes after wearing them for a day: To save money. If we were all budget conscious, this would not be a problem.

  • All of you who believe in population control and eugenics, do us a favor and be the first to volunteer to give up your life for "the greater good." What's the matter? Don't you believe in what you say? If your not willing to give up your own life, should you have the right to put that on someone else, or deny someone their inherent right to reproduce. You know we did try this once before about 70 years ago. It was called the holocost and the entire world joined forces to fight that faction.

  • One important factor not mentioned in this film was the massive effect of coming solar storms that Michio Kaku has warned us will take place in 2012 disabling many of our communication satellites . Fluctuations in the magnetosphere &/or the entire magnetic sphere shifting polarity completely in our lifetime. Already the Magnetic North Pole has moved 1000km from Canada towards Siberia within the last century, so that runways across the globe have to be re-labeled. And it will only get worse.

  • Interesting....It took Western Civilization nearly a thousand years after the collapse of the Roman Empire to rebound socially and technologicaly, yet the video depicts humans with technology more advanced than what we currently posses only 200 years after the proposed collapse. Just a thought.

  • @GNold1 I thought 2210 was a little too quick a rebound as well, but figured the 'archaeologists' were probably descendants of the .001% of scientists, engineers, et al, with their iTunes & iPads, isolated safe deep underground in dozens of salt mines for the next 2C of wars, plagues. 'The Collapse' imo happens with Earth's magnetosphere already weakened during the current ongoing Magnetic Polar Reversal, yrs of massive Solar Storms or hit w/ Coronal Mass Ejection. Best to be underground.

  • These videos remind me how much I hate people. Too bad the world isnt ending

  • How could you lose all knowledge of a society just 200 years before you, yet still be a modern society yourself?

  • One thing is sure: The mankind will not last in the next 1000 years if we continue living like this.

  • Yes

  • If we're all dead then why are the sciencestis humain

  • 21:55 what the -?

  • Fallout

  • In the western world(not developing countries)there will be a governmental control of population. Its happening right now, fewer people want large families they are afraid for thier future amid rising cost of living and knife-edge economics. As population longevity increases, the daunting fact that someone might live to a normal age of 90 to 100 years and beyond asks the question how will such a long age be paid for?

  • people need to realize that we don't live that long ,why do ya need that 250.000 dollar car & home? why do ya need to run run run burn up all that gas,me i don't go anywhere unless i need to,I buy local meaning city & state I barely drive my car and i am 32ys old and with a social life but i use the internet to comunicate, not that i want to live this way but i care about what happens to us as a human whole, really think about your kin and how they might have to live because of you just a thought.

  • @TheKillmode1911 talk about being a boring person.

  • @TheKillmode1911 People also need to curb their reproductive urges. Poliricians pussyfoot around overpopulation issues, but really, families can't continue having more than 2 kid max just 'cause they want to or their religion/culture tells them to. If people don't limit their numbers now, somebody or nature is going to do it for them sometime soon.

  • @TheKillmode1911 You don't like to have fun?... Usually I regret things I didn't do than things that I did... But why wouldn't you want to live it up? :/

  • @TheKillmode1911 Maybe you should go out, see the world. You only live once and it's a short ass life span.

  • @TheKillmode1911 Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I agree with your vision:considering that no more than 200 years ago, most of humankind was limited to travel not further than legs and horse could carry us in a reasonable amount of time, I think that many of the challenges both medical and economical we face today have to do with our ability to traverse great distances in a very -too- short time.

  • @TheKillmode1911 You realize that everything you are doing now, even you lifestyle that you consider "green", is using oil & water, right?

You typing that ignorant response took over 100 people, countless hours, and lots of oil & energy....

...you arent as "green","efficient", or "independent" as you think.

Go plant some trees if you actually wanna do some good. Whining just depletes your own energy.

  • @TheKillmode1911 You become socially awkward in the real world if you're always talking on skype.

  • @Herimia true, i spent a lot of time on the computer since I was younger, with some practice and time I learned the difference from words to social expressions, kind of hard but worth it.

  • LOOK at the beautiful uninhabited parts of EARTH then look at the parts we all inhabit, it looks like rot and we are the MAGGOTS & MOLD!!!!

  • "continued" Just cause your rich doesn't make you smart hire someone who really is....

  • them buildings looked like they were rather buried not "built" into the earth.looks like they were buried alive.....and whats up with building green farm land in the desert ,common sense tells me thats not the brightest idea and then drill for precious water we need to survive to keep dying farms alive move your farm don't be stupid if you built where its naturally green you would not be ripping out perfectly good fruit trees ,JEEZ who puts these kind of idiots in charge oh yeah i forgot "MONEY"

  • I just don't understand! The atomic warheads are threatening; not only to us but to our atmosphere that is one of our assets of next generations. Why don't all countries cancel their nuclear programs and destroy all warheads. Israel and USA say Iran is developing nuclear weapons, so what about their owns? They have most of them, why don't they destroy their own? what is the guarantee that USA or Israel wont use these weapons against innocent people? They have already!!!

  • @iksahir Because we are not trustworthy enough to guarantee that everyone will destroy all their nuclear weapons and/or never rebuild them, and as long as multiple countries are in possession of nuclear weapons, no one country will use them against another country in fear of retaliation. It is called the nuclear deterrence theory.

  • As long as Western population is small, we can feed ourselves not matter how much the global climate changes. We can live comfortably without petroleum if we develop solar energy sources. If we welcome massive third world migration to the West, our ability to feed ourselves will be diminished. If we tolerate Muslim invasion of our Western homeland, our civilization will collapse.

  • @polka23dot Also add to what you say: if we let the treacherous and traitorous neo-Marxists and international socialists with their political correctness and cultural relativism run the show in the West, we'll end up destroying ourselves civilizationally without too much help from anyone else.

  • @GorgeousGeorge108 I am a moderate left-winger and a tree hugger, but I agree that Marxists and most leftists are a menace. They control the mainstream media and prohibit debate about Islam, eugenics, and Western Civilization..

I believe that eugenics, human population control, and Western Civilization can solve all global problems. The Western Civilization is the only civilization that has passion for innovation, capacity for self-criticism, and gender equality.

  • @polka23dot I don't agree with you at all. Every person has the capacity to be innovative, regardless of their origin. Passion varies from person to person. It is not possible to make an objective comparison of the "passion for innovation" between two groups of people. That can only be done on an individual level.

  • @SanchezAfricano Modern science and technology has been invented by Caucasian (white) people. Mongoloids (Chinese, Japanese, and Koreans) are also smart and innovative. Other races made virtually no contribution to science and technology. Western Civilization also contributed to the success of Caucasian nations. I suggest that you read short article about the Western Civilization: w w w . project - syndicate . o r g / commentary / sorman2 / English

    (remove spaces from the link)

  • @polka23dot you are damn true..western has made the world a better palce to live in.

  • @polka23dot "Eugenics", huh? Thanks for showing your true colors, "left"-winger! Wealth brings on population control -- NOT the other way around..

  • @polka23dot

Marxists and leftists control the mainstream media?! LOL, where in the fuck do you live?! I want to move there ! You think Marxists put up with eugenics and population control? So bizarrely mislead my friend...

  • @polka23dot BS,only the western?????why did you travel around the World????

  • @polka23dot I see the practice of eugenics a very dark and scary thing. When people talk about eugenics the first thing that comes to my mind is Nazi Germany and forced sterilization of petty criminal in the victorian age. I don't want to come back to that times. Genetic manipulation of human population by a state entity is completely contrary to what I define liberty.

  • @robto Nazi Germany did not invent eugenics. It adopted eugenic ideas from USA and distorted these ideas. Nazi Germany built the first jet engine. Does it mean that jet engines are evil and should be banned? Modern eugenics has nothing in common with Nazi ideology, but it has lots in common with genetic engineering and the so called designer babies. Modern eugenics is usually implemented by in vitro fertilization ($9,000) followed by preimplantation genetic diagnosis ($4,000 to $7,500).

  • @robto It seems that your opposition to eugenics is based on irrational fear. I believe that all genes causing illnesses should be outlawed and that parents should use eugenic technology to ensure that their children are smart, healthy, and handsome. About 2% of blacks have a gene which makes it possible to consume large amounts of saturated fat without any rise in the blood's cholesterol. I have very high level of cholesterol and I believe that everyone should have this beneficial gene.

  • What I don't get is the premise that future archaeologists AFTER the collapse of civilization on a worldwide level will have nifty holographic computer gadgets that haven't even been invented today. Unless maybe there's a single island of civilization left or something.

  • massive immigration, global warming, economy collapses, nuclear accidents... that will destroy the society

  • Um... who says there will be any ppl who survived who are scientists/ engineers and could teach their knowledge???

  • the backstory was very unconvincing (people driving around the world in a jeep and having transparent superlaptops just 150 years after a total global collapse and widespread desertification. But it was just a storytool anyway. More time in the film was about the past civilizations that collapsed and interviews with scientists and writers analyzing the present day parallels. It is based on Jared Diamonds bookabout why societies collapse or persist

  • rome conquest is just like ponzi, unsustainable in the end, madoff at colosus

  • Lol I love watching Nat Geo shows, even with a headache from hell I can tell when they don't know shit.

Fusion reaction, geothermal, alternative nuclear resources like thorium, specialized solar.

    And that's just the tip.

Focus on antimatter, which can be created, would indefinitely solve the problem.

Fact: Antimatter produces energy at a rate of 99.9%/Mass, the next closest we have right now is nuclear at 13%/Mass, and that's the best of the best nuclear tech.

  • @lgvereor antimatter is a form of energy storage like hydrogen, not an energy source

  • @Reg9500 Neither Hydrogen nor Antimatter are storage, they are sources. A source is Gas, Oil, Coal, storage is batteries, storage holds energy that has already been produced, sources are for producing energy to either store or use.

Antimatter is the most potent energy source, with an almost ~100% matter to energy conversion rate and 180b/kg energy density, the highest we have known that's used is Uranium, at a ~12% conversion rate and 79.5m/kg energy density.

  • @lgvereor a source defines it can already feasibly be extracted from somewhere. so far we can only use them as storage, by for example artificially splitting up water into hydrogen and oxygen, or by creating antimatter in an accelerator. This takes up energy and the EROEI is very low. If you find a cloud of antimatter nearby that we could actually harvest, then i'll consider antimatter a viable source.

  • Why did he have to say hangover, fuuck I have a headache...

  • How the hell did it has became 2210?

  • No, this show is wrong. The magic bullet as far as power goes will arrive in a commercial version in 2019. Thats when the first commercial fusion reactors go online. The fuel for those reactors is so abundant that we have a nearly unlimited supply. These reactors are 100% safe, they don't emit greenhouse gases and are relatively cheap to operate. If we do things the right way and replace every single existing power plant we will dramatically change the standard we live by.

  • we already make a big mistake right here in this Story !!! we are assuming ,that we are more inclined, smarter and more acknowledged than the Mayans,Romans &and many not mentioned cultures...but how do we really know that ??? we don't we just assume ,they didn't see there problems as we see our now, that is pretty arrogant and i think there is the biggest of our problems , OUR ARROGANCE will take our society down !!!!!!

  • 5:01 isnt that from i am legend

  • 2:34 - we'd lose coffee shops and cafes!? Noooooooo.

  • 1:21:35 TARRERISTS

  • Dumb asses! The sun is nuclear! Solar power is the best source of energy if harnessed correctly.

  • The ocean releases way,way more co2 than people do.

  • There's one thing we should do and that is to learn from the mistakes of the previous civilization and avoid making the same mistake again. That should be done all the time.

  • Humans will eventually die off

    that is not god's will

its the "naturally occuring event of nature"

just like your belief that global warming is so

SO WHY WORRY?! lols, you already had the shovel in your hand, why stop?

ill be dead before this world ends anyways

    so w.e

  • @WingedSoulies

    Very selfish thing to say

  • If religion didnt exist we would actually be preserving this god damned planet

people are too concerned about thier life for this

think about it, does global warming need to exist, real or not, in order for people to help this planet?

or do you just actually prefer polluted water and a smog laying over your city

which if you do, by all means, do it

  • The archeologist angle doesnt make alot of sense.

  • One major problem with this, the earth would be too radioactive to support human life. The nuclear meltdown from thousands of reactor releases would prevent human life. Reactors that shutdown properly would be ticking time bombs for future generations.

  • @vBotics god.. you are so full of shit. here's a clue, guy, we release 7 billion tons of CO2 annually, versus about 150 thousand tons of nuclear waste, most of which is inert, and non-biologically active. The area around Chernobyl - far from a 'wasteland', is a wildlife preserve, with wolf, caribou, bears, and so on.

Understand what you are talking about before you open your mouth.

  • @horos22c hey douche, learn to read. 'human life'. Ditto!

  • @vBotics - boy, are you thick. in case you haven't noticed, humans *are* animals. All that radiation that was spilled in chernobyl amounted to an increase of .2% (that's point to percent, or 2 thousandths) in the risk of cancer for the inhabitants over the course of their lives.

Given that your risk overall of getting cancer is 30%, that's a pretty far cry from 'too radioactive to support human life'. If civilization collapsed, nuclear meltdowns would be a blip on the radar screen.

  • @vBotics Thats not true, there would still be areas that were unaffected by such a thing.

  • @vBotics reminds me of the fallout games :D

  • @vBotics

or all life perhaps..one of the biggest problems are the thousands of nuvlear reactors that could destroy life potential....oh what a mad world.

  • Much of this is bullshit. Global warming is a lie!

  • the earth s temperature hasn t gone up in 10 yrs

  • instead of200 years( 2210) they should give at least a500 years for knowledge to loss and new civilisation to thrive and newly built computers to come for analysis. If the some parts of world collapse there will still be a lot of information remains and life will be fairly similar for the remaining parts due to globalisation so there is not much to find out like this documentaries imagination.

  • american "documentaries" are so dumb. I can't believe national geographic now produces this kind of shit i remember watching NG documentaries when i was a kid in the 90's you actualy learned something in an intelligent manner. Look at a BBC documentary you can tell the difference right away...

  • @GmrWeb yeah, the BBC never fails to deliver the 'global warming/overpopulation' agenda but is far superior in manipulation than anything produced by the American monopolists.

  • @DaftAida Most of bbc stuff is normally well presented and tend to benifit from reason before sensation. Global warming is a pretty serious issue and this kind of documentaries just make it look like a science fiction movie. We need interviews with experts, graphics and real statistics presented in an intelligent manner not some freaking "the day after tomorrow" retarded shit.

  • it wal happen way faster then that if we do not change oure ways

  • where's Walle ?

  • this is what would happen if ACTA gets passed.

  • This show is an oxymoron. If society collapses, there won't be scientists in 2210 and even if it did, there are endless written records that would survive only 200 years. This show should have been done with the year 4010.

  • @christo930 Isn't it amazing how our collapsed society somehow produces scientists with see through 3d computers, automobiles, plastics etc? Some of the warning in this show are very real, but the way it's told is downright ridiculous.

  • Doesn't matter what us commoners do, if we let a small group of people take control of the majority of the resources, and abuse it purely for personal gain. We need to take down the elite if we are going to be able to control our planet's future.

  • i found a flaw in the making of this film. 1:03:59 there is a fish from the collapsed super market and its not a skeleton =()

  • The collapse of us? Well, it all started in 2008 when...

  • @robthaglacier may i lick it??? LOL

  • System is wrong! Wake up people! Liberal capitalism is our enemy. Corporations and banks.

  • skynet!!!

  • what is the cost of entertainment? maybe we need to play with a wooden block by candle light for a night...

  • global warming story is to give them an excuse to tax us to breathe

  • @timewilltell7 You must be a moron to not notice the climate changes. For example recently it hit -26 in Europe. Ukraine, Poland and Serbia among others are reporting deaths caused by the recent cold. I'm not talking about taxes here. I'm just saying that there is clearly a climate change in the world. Open your eyes.

  • @Juice20000428 Climate change in the world is a constant. If there is being a big swing right now or not is irrelevant to discuss as a shift of policies. The human species is not causing it and trying to change or halt it could bring even more disastrous consequences.

  • @timewilltell7 right wing

  • @timewilltell7 why is this uneducated bullshit the top rated comment

  • We didn't see global warming as a danger 30 years ago because the delusion du jour of the junk science community was the next ice age. The sun has exponentially more effect on the mean global temperature than human activity would if we increased CO2 output tenfold, and that is a simple astronomical fact that greenies cannot accept and therefore refuse to acknowledge.

  • Nuke waste disposal is not that big of a concern if you are listening to someone who knows anything about nuclear power plants and the modern storage methods. ESPECIALLY if we are allowed to build new plants with better methods instead of being regulated into using aging, inefficient and increasingly dangerous ones.

  • Okay, so where are these archaeologists living if everything seems destroyed?

  • Irrational fear of nuclear energy eh? And a year after the Japan Earthquake everyone is rethinking nuke energy

  • "the animal nature that got us here"=religion.."the logical nature that we now have" = free thinking.
