Narcissists are horrible people that contribute greatly to unnecessary social dilemmas. If there is not a fire to add fuel to they will start the fire and continue to throw fuel into it because they like the idea of destruction.
continued: basically, they gain their identity by being a mother... having achieved the incredible (this is meant ironic): giving birth to a child... feeding on the attention they get from family, teachers, other parents at school, etc.... then this new woman comes along and just does the same - giving birth to a child, getting attention from family, teachers, other parents...stealing all the attention from the narcissistic mother, so NPD/BD Mom decides to attack, to get back what is due to her.
Excellent analysis...this really explains why all the borderline/NPD mothers out there go into narcissistic rage when their ex-partners, after finally having found the guts to leave them, find a new wife or even worse - have a child with this new woman. The BD/PDS thought they'd be forever the center of attention in their exs' and exs' families life...now this new woman comes along and does exactly as they do - be a mother, get attention from family, teachers, etc and it becomes explosive....
What does one do if their parent is a narcissist? I've recently discovered from your videos and others that my sadistic abusive father is most likely a narcissist. I chose to move far away from my parents nearly 30 years ago and haven't seen them in almost 20 years. They are getting older now and I feel torn between not ever seeing them again and possibly losing my mind if I do decide to see them in person again:(
