The story in this movie got better and better and better as it went on, topping itself again and again. The movie keeps improving with repeated viewings, as well. Amazing movie! One of the best aspects of the film is in the photography. Cinematographer and Director used lots of dull browns, reds, blues and grays to pull the viewer into the setting of the slums. The cinematography and sets are wonderful, never once setting a difference between the real and the fantasy.
