@carnalitajones why is it that an artist that is not white, is described as the "Black of the white... whatever”??? When I 1st heard Betty Davis I had N E V E R heard anyone say the things she was saying or sing the way she did; it spoke to my heart it was how I felt at the time... I was 17 years old and in the 1970’s NO ONE ever had the nerve to say the things she was saying and in the way she sung it!!! No, she is not the ‘Black of the white’ anybody she is Betty Davis the one and only!
