You want more money? Work for it. Unless you're a democrat, then you want the government to take money from the people who do work and give it you so you don't have to.
People, please read what Tom Sowell has to say about all of this. Sowell is a rare bread-an economist who is also a gifted writer. Many of the stats that are bandied about are misleading.
The type of equality the Left seeks is not equality of opportunity but equality of result. We can have freedom or we can have equality of result, but not both. Freedom is infinitely better.
Do not envy what others have. It makes you a worse person. If you desire something work for it. That's a better way.
The idea of Middle Class income stagnation is a huge myth. Income classes are not people. People move back and forth between classes over the course of their lives. Most people in the top 1% are only there for a year or two.
The idea that Middle Class people have wage stagnation is just a lie. It is just that when you get enough raises you move out of the Middle Class to the Upper Middle Class.
Read "Economic Facts and Fallacies" by Thomas Sowell, or remain an uneducated twit.
Do you honestly think being the ONLY 1st world nation that has wealth inequality on the level of 3rd world shitholes like Cambodia and Nigeria is somehow good for this country?
The CEO to average worker pay ratio used to be about 40:1 in 1980 and now its skyrocketed to 325:1. Compare that to other nations such as 12:1 in Germany, 20:1 in Canada and 22:1 in the UK.
America and its people were bought and sold years ago
There's absolutely nothing wrong with somebody making more money than me. You don't think CEOs in Germany and Canada aren't tremendously more wealthy than the vast majority of the population? Ofcourse they are, but the difference is that they also pay their workers a fair salary so that they have more money to spend and the economy as a whole can grow and prosper.
@yeebuddeh1 Despite what you seem to believe I am living a comfortable life on 15k a year. See this whole "income inequality" bullshit (along with the "we don't get fair wages") is just children crying because they didn't have the skill or luck to actually be better than their higher ups. They could easily accuire the skill but that takes work. So instead they bitch and whine.
I never said you weren't living a comfortable life. But if you think the fact that this country has wealth inequality on the level of 3rd world nations and has a CEO to worker pay ratio about 25 times higher than the rest of the Western world is anything short of insane then you're delusional.
And no, I'm not "jealous of the rich". Adam Smith said that in order for capitalism to succeed, employers need to pay workers a fair wage so they can buy products and grow the economy
@hooplablahblahblah Exactly. I WANT my fellow man to do well for him/her self. What someone else has doesn't make what I have any less. Never could understand some peoples' jealousy when it comes to money. As long as the money is earned fairly (not fraud/theft) I say more power to them. I never got a job from a poor person. :D
Yeah, Obama's a full blown communist that Wall Street carries in their back pocket...
I'm no Obama supporter, in fact I'm pretty pissed that he promised us change but ended up being just another whore to banks, unions and corporations just like the rest of Washington, but what exactly has he done that even remotely merits him being labelled a communist?
It's about useful idiots and small victories. I personally doubt he thinks he's even slightly a communist, but that's not important. What's important is small little things he does that make it more difficult for a business to make a profit.
@yeebuddeh1 Redistribution of wealth, which he advocates, is one of the tenets of communism. Van Jones, until he was shown the door due to political pressure, is a communist and has admitted that he is. "Social justice" is in the communist manifesto as well and he advocates it constantly. He believes in a state controlled economy (i.e. central planning) and the list goes on and on. Take the time to study Karl Marx/Saul Alinsky and you will see his beliefs are those of a communist.
Great episode guys. A little of my faith in Trifecta restored.. good to not hear you cutting away at other candidates but focusing on the guy that is currently responsible for where we are at.
You can tell when Whittle wants to drop and f-bomb, but manages to hold it back.
