  • Where did they take that clock?

  • 1:46 SOUNDS LIKE A JACKHAMMER LOLZ!!!

  • 1:46 - JACKHAMMER! LOLZ! HAHAHAHAHAHA! XD

  • How can 9 people dislike this???

  • The thing about this song, along with "Born To Add" etc. is that it is literally better than 90% of the music made in the last 10 years, and it was meant to be a parody for a kids show.......

  • Honkers Gonna Honk

  • hahahahahaha

  • Does anyone remember what happens at the end? I just remember there was carnage of some kind!

  • @pem1974 the clock breaks

  • Another fond memory from the days when Sesame Street was truly entertaining and educational at the same time! I miss the Honkers!

  • I always thought Little Chrissy did the vocals in this.

  • That clock is coming out of the Honkers' paychecks

  • why did they break it at the end? I could never understood that part

  • @cartoonist1975 Me neither. I guess they thought it'd be funny.

  • yeah... lol old school CTW humor. lol @hell5309

  • @cartoonist1975 It seems in old Sesame Street they liked destroying clocks (look up "Sesame Street News Flash ~ Hickory Dickory Dock" for an example).

  • The Honkers knew they were getting fired after that show anyway, so they decided to take the clock with them before they left

  • @JDBW this is sesame street rock...they thought they destroy clocks the way rockers destroy guitars..

  • OMG love this wow so much memories ...

  • Love to have this clock in my Living room.

  • I like the honkers so much. They are not funny figures ,but amazing ones.

  • Is it wrong that I'm 21 now and I still jump around my room listening to this?

  • @guitargeekette

    Nah, I do too. :D

  • I love the honkers they are so damn funny at the end they usually honk like crazy at the end of the honker skits.

  • @SapphireSphere, i'm not sure.

  • Classic stuff

  • I miss this soo much!!! I was watching this in 1987 @ 7yrs old and now singing it at 30yrs. I miss this time in my life

  • Wow....I loved this song when i was little....Jeez...How the time goes by so fast...

  • Minus all the cursing, yelling, and threatening from all the drivers!

  • 0:36-0:45, the honker monsters' honkings sound like typical weekday morning traffic in NYC right outside my 36th St. dorm in college!

  • sing it little Chrissy

  • Noticed that the minute hand on the clock revolves on average once per second. Figure that the hand spins approximatelly 106 times before crashing, the time frame covered would be equivalent to four days and ten hours

  • I love the duck on SS

  • I remember this.

  • holy crap, look at all the money SS had 20 yrs ago, and how much spent on this sketch. They never would be able to afford this today

  • I have loved this song since I was a little kid! Brings back memories!

  • The Honkers have some nerve breaking that clock.

  • What word are they censoring ?

  • That was very funny especially when the clock crashed into the wall?

  • That was always my favourite part.

  • This song was the first of various parts of Sesame Street that scared me to the point of fleeing from anything SS-related for years. Yet it's hard for me to see now how this song scared me so much. I love this cute song now, I think it was overstimulating both visually and audibly for my two-year-old psyche. I'm an Aspie and had lots of sensory overload as a kid.

  • What does "SS-related" mean?

I'm asking because I'm an Aspie myself and I don't understand it.

  • It means "Sesame Street" related. As a kid I had a major Sesame Street phobia that was started by this song.

  • I feel your pain.

I used to be scared shitless of a sketch on sesame street that people on Youtube christened "Creepy Toys". If you look it up you'll see why.

Oddly enough, this was one of my favorite sketches when I was little.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG

  • i love the honkers & dingers

  • that clock is coming out of the honkers paycheques

  • They broke the clock. I don't know why, but it pissed me off as a kid.

  • I've had this song stuck in my head for years, finally finding it on YT about a year ago... nonstalgia to the max.

  • The baby honker is SO cute, especially when he grooms himself.

  • Does anyone have the skit where 3 cuckoo birds go inside of a cuckoo clock to do their job and a guy counts them? I'd like to see that one again.

Can somebody also re-post "I am Part of the Whole"?

  • The honking sound is so cute...

  • OH YAY...I was glad to see this one on here...ALWAYS been a fav of mine....thank you.

  • this just sent chills down my spine -_-

  • Great video! Thanks for posting it and taking me back over 20 years.

  • this song is great. But the song called the word is no is awfull because all they say no so whats the point of teaching kids the word no if it has no meaning to it the word is no video has no meaning to it.

  • DAMN I MISS THIS CRAZY SHIT !!!

Sesame Street isnt what it used to be.

  • THE CLOCK BROKE.

  • I, too, just thought to look for this on YouTube! I used to watch this video over and over as a kid on a VHS tape I eventually wore out. AWESOME ADDITION TO YOUTUBE. Haha!

  • Look at that small pink Honker ham it up!

  • i see the light, good eye

  • Anyone notice that one of the lights on the 11 isn't working?

  • ohh yeah!! so it is well spotted

  • I guess that bulb might've burnt out while they were testing the prop clock to make sure all flashing sequences worked properly and didn't notice.

  • "The bulb's not alive!" :p

  • no actuliy this song kicks butt

  • this song kicks ass.

  • i love it when the clock smashes lolz!!!

  • ride the hills in the Sierras up and down up and down with this song or in San Francisco chipsy chopsy around the clock

  • Oh, God... to be young again. This song has stuck with me since I was five or so! I only now thought to see if someone put it up on YouTube. Thanks.

  • a tru classic, thank u so much, memoriessssss......aaahh.

Another A to wattamack4 for reliving my childhood.

    Thanks!

    Lenellbr

P/S Gotta see the "Gimme 5 song"! post the link.

  • Just put in the name of the song in the searchbar.

  • Thanks. I found it! I appericate it!

    Lenell B.

  • @lenellbr LOL Elmo's 5 jive!

  • It always somewhat disturbed me when they smashed the clock at the end. It was just so random.

  • I used to sing this song all the time. What happened to Sesame Street lately. Its not as funny as it was then. They need to show those old episode on VH1 or something.

  • OH MY GOD!

I was five when I watched this for the first time and I loved it!

    Good old times.

  • The last time I saw this in full I was a kid. For some reason the crash at the end scared me. I always hated crashes like that. Thanks though for uploading.

  • XD! That's exactly the same with me-loud crashes also scared me as a kid

  • I think there was a similar occasion where an Anything Muppet (in the guise of an opera singer) had to sing the alphabet at a certain pitch, depending on how high or low a certain alphabet board was suspended. At the end, whoever was holding onto the ropes holding up that board let go and the whole thing crashed. Just crazy!

  • me too! this video terrified me as a kid because of that crash...

  • That was the part I lived for when I watched this as a kid.

  • This was one of my favorites when I was little.

  • Rock on, Honkers! w00t!

  • Shouldn't the clock roll and crash instead of slide and crash?

  • I had this memorized *lol* and amazingly still know it

  • this had to be the the early 80's. man this takes me back

  • how sweet would this be as a ringtone??

  • lol. yeah!

  • wow old school thanks i loved tis as a kid

  • : D i remember this!!! <3 yay.

  • Awesome!! This song is gonna stay in my head around the clock

  • :'o)

  • I love this! I still have this on tape!

  • I remember this one. I used to love this when I was little I still do . The Honkers rule.

  • OMG!! I LOVE THIS ONE!!! Haven't seen it in probbly 18 years!! :D I love the crash at the end!

  • I could never figure out why, in the back of my mind, I always associated "Rock Around the Clock" with Sesame Street. This video clears that up and also brings back great memories.

  • I love the honkers

  • The memories come flooding back...great stuff!!

  • i use to have the tape with this on it

and i would play this one particular song over and over and just dance lol

  • Love the ending. lol

  • I

    LOVE

    this!!

It always makes me feel better!!

  • I know I already commented on this clip, but I love this sketch. I keep going back and watching it again it's so catchy. Thank goodness for creative geniuses like Chris Cerf. Thanks for sharing this with us wattamack!

  • Cool! What a classic this is! Nice seeing it again! I remember it well!

  • I haven't seen this in freaking ages!

  • Cool

  • Wow I used to see this alot

  • I haven't seen this since 1990!

  • According to the clip, the baby honker's honker plays three seperate tones. lol multitalented? Still, I love this sketch. ^_^

  • Yeah, and starting at 00:11 you see four honkers each honking the exact same tone, but as the song continues, their pitch goes down!! :-)

  • That happened to me at Rosebank School! Jamie, Michael, Archie Ryan and me were putting the clock away but in the wrong way and it CRASHED!

  • I think the only two that did not get squashed by the clock was the baby honker and the fuscia honker.

  • I remember this!! Awesome!!!

Hey, does anyone know what became of "The Honker Duckie Dinger Jamborie"??? It WAS on here a few months back.

  • at 1:18, the blue honker bumps into the column on the left, and it rocks. Not secured I see.

  • I remember this one as a child-the part where the clock crashed scared me. This is so much fun and so catchy! I love that purple honker!

  • HOLY HONKERS!!!!!!!! I haven't seen that one in ages! Thanks for posting!

  • holy crap, I remember seeing an episode with this a loooong time ago... Big Bird was having a sleepover with somebody.... don't remember who, but anyways.... it was one of my favorite Sesame Street songs as a kid, I was happy to see it again back then, and I'm happy to see this song again now on Youtume. FINALLY!

  • yes!! I love this song!! ^0^

  • Thank you so much for posting this, do you know how long I've been looking for this skit? Years and years. I love the honkers and the song!

  • I love this song a lot. I give it 12 honks!

  • wow. I haven't seen this in years and it all came back to me! I'm looking for the classic sheepdog skit if anyone has it. "I'm a dog, I'm a working dog, I'm a hard working dog."

  • woh, I for got all about that clock crashing at the end

  • What caused the clock to crash?

  • The way I see it, when the baby honker did that slip move, he must've bumped into the other honkers causing them to drop the clock and then, CRASH!

  • aww i remember this on awesome!

  • AHHH thanks so much i cant WAIT! i only know the names but its been so DAMN long i cant remember them!!!

  • Honker-Duckie-Dinger Jamboree? anyone have it?!?! or Alphabet jungle?!?

  • I've got both.I'll post them when I can.

  • Wow! The last time I watched it I was still a kid! Thanks!

  • this is the most amazing thing i've seen on youtube yet. this really made my day!

  • Thanks!

  • Now, all I need is Alphabet Jungle.

  • I have that.I'll post it when I can.

  • very catchy and funny song!!! I wish I should have that played on my iPod.....lol

  • Thank you! I've not seen this in years!

  • I used to hear this everyday, I definitely kids would enjoy it today. :)

  • Very catchy!

  • Sweet! I'm going to have this song in my head all day now! Thanks for making me smile!

  • True, I was somewhere once and somebody said that they should still show the old Sesame Street because children won't know the difference.

  • Not Bad, but you shouldnt of left out thos intros before the song!

  • A-men.Pretty much everything that was made when the new format started is garbage. Why didn't they put "Elmo's World" along with the new format?

  • I was crazy about this song as a girl.
