could someone please explain me this: in the authentic japanese drift videos, there's barely any smoke (especially from the rear tires), but they keep their cars sideways for ages. however, in competition series, like D1 and so on, there are boatloads of smoke. what makes the difference? tire compound?

from out of all the drift vids i seen so far ive only seen a 180sx stock or tuned 240 sx which from visual wise the 180 and 240 dont really look any different. i yeah the little kid on the tricycle is the shit lol

@DemonSnake1968 you are right from a visual perspective the 180 and the 240 look the same. its the motor that seperates them. the 240 has a ka24 while the 180 come with either the ca18det or the sr20det.

Not with a high power engine. From what I've seen they'll use E-brake to initiate probably because it's more consistent and they can control how much the rear comes out depending on the duration held. Clutch kick only breaks traction but can't be held like an E-brake.

Of course they use all drifting methods available whenever necessary.
