i went to arlington national on a school trip, it was so beautiful it was when it was completly covered in snow but still beautiful, we saw the changing of the gaurd which was great our school was supposed to lay a wreath but we got there to late that was sad but it was a great experience

So you are correct that today we are free. But you must remember that we are less free than 200 years ago and the pattern is only getting worse. Foreign AND domestic.
1st point: Private forums are free to censor any and everything they want to without violating anyone's rights. The 1st Amendment prevents the GOVERNMENT from infringing on people's freedom of speech.
2nd point: The right to speak freely does not equal a right to be heard. No one is forced to listen to what they don't choose to listen to and there are plenty of alternative viewpoints, both public and private, to choose from.

No, "freedom" is indeed not free. We all know how much it cost the Iraqis, a minimum of 600 000 dead and millions maimed, mutilated and another 3 million displaced, Iraqi Christians can no longer live in peace without fear, something not a problem until the "liberation", and we have small children being born with horrific deformities due to Americas love of uranium depleted shells in urban areas. i went to arlington national on a school trip, it was so beautiful it was when it was completly covered in snow but still beautiful, we saw the changing of the gaurd which was great our school was supposed to lay a wreath but we got there to late that was sad but it was a great experience

1st point: Private forums are free to censor any and everything they want to without violating anyone's rights. The 1st Amendment prevents the GOVERNMENT from infringing on people's freedom of speech.
2nd point: The right to speak freely does not equal a right to be heard. No one is forced to listen to what they don't choose to listen to and there are plenty of alternative viewpoints, both public and private, to choose from.

You can buy it with money - just ask our corporate fat cats, who bascially are the American version of the British upper class - or you can pay for it by investing your time and attention and sometimes your very sanity doing things like writing to your elected representatives or marching or being jailed for what is truly right, etc. It's not a spectator sport at all. I collect "1984" examples of "Double speak," and "Freedom isn't free" is a great example. You might say like George Orwell, "War is Peace," "Ignorance is strength" , the list goes on. This "double speak" slogan means that people get suckered into endless wars with no meaning like Vietnam or Iraq. The saying is designed to sucker workers into dying for the rich man's war. How many planes crashed into buildings in Harlem? How many poor people were killed by the war? -- a lot!

No benefits have been cut and there are not a million homeless vets on the street.
Cutting a requested budget increase of 20% to 15% is not cutting benefits. Its cutting a proposed budget.
All homeless people claim to be a vet when it is when they can get something from it.
You might want to check the facts before spouting the party line.

President Bush cut my benifits, Bush gave us a .5% pay inccrease on top of our 3% you might think that nots alot but its better than nothing.
Reagan is what got out national defense to what it should be at.
McCain really hasnt done anything.
But President Clinton gutted the military so bad that my dad who is a ret Airforce pilot did not have fuel to fly his aircraft. yeah check your facts

You are right about one thing---the troops have done things that I would never have thought of doing- like making men have oral sex and piling them up naked in a pyrimid - yes sir- I would never have thought have doing that. I would never dream of killing a child in bed or beating an old man to death - or tying someone up for days and putting woman's underwear on their head. We have some really creative and brave men and woman over there - and at Guantanamo Bay as well as Abu Graibe.

But I dont' support Bush. I support the men and women who are doing their job. What choice do they have? When you make that oath,you feel the pride you get for knowing You're becoming a part of something bigger than yourself. And they deserve to continue to have that pride by getting support from people. All you've said is Bush this and Bush that. This isn't video isn't about Bush. It's about men and women who sacrifice their lives every day even when they're home.
