I remember all these science fiction movies from when I was a kid. We would go to the gym at school on Sat. afternoons where they would charge a quarter to see these low budget cheesy flicks. This was on AMC this morning when I got up....10-24
@marcsdriver Hi Madame Dementia here,we used to do that our school too,but they only charged a dime and that inc.popcorn. Not a bad deal.I remember seeing Day The Earth Stood Still as well as a lot of others. We will be showing this on our channel,we are listed under madamedementia1.
It really isn't a cameo when the actor is not yet famous. You also cannot actually see very much of him. He has a lot of make-up in the form of a long grey beard and he is wering a hooded robe. The fog swirling around him further eclipses his appearance. The only thing you are really going to recognize is his voice which sounds surprisingly mature.
Does anyone know where I can find this film? It's no longer available commercially and it doesn't appear to be in the public domain. I even scoured Usenet, and every public and private torrent tracker I could think of to no avail.
@Bowman247 It always cracked me up when Rod Serling pronounced it this way but technically speaking it is actually the correct pronunciation since the term was invented by Russia in the 1920's.
Nasty little creatures for scaring all those people. If I ever saw one I would give it a piece of my mind!

I want to see Leonard Nimoy's cameo in this. I can't picture him being 27.
