If you have Seen Platoon, John C McGinley played a character called O'Neill, and he would always call his superior Officer, Barnes, by the nickname "Bob". in Scrubs he always called Dr. Kelso "Bob", Dr. Kelso was his superior.

I do understand taht, dude. I've seen Platoon. But Bob is not a nickname for Bob Kelso, it's the ACTUAL name of the character Bob Kelso. Get it ? Because he's Bob Kelso. Not Jim or Mike, being called Bob as a nickname. His name IS Bob. And what Perry always calls him is BOBO, not Bob. So I still don't get it. Neither does Perry ever call him Bob, nor is Bob a nickname. Cause he's Bob and John's character calls him Bobo.
