wow finnish and norwegian are kinda alike aren't they? And both are James's (team rocket) voices from Pokemon:DD?? (well I know Finnish is but Norwegian too??) What a coincidence!:D I kinda liked all voices :)
I hate it that the swedish decided to use the word "solsken" (sunshine) instead of translating the original, it could be like "där ute" like in the original.
I'm a Finn myself, so the Finnish version brings lots of memories <3
I also have no idea how some people can say that some language is ugly! I mean... I love all those versions! Norwegian and Swedish especially. Icelandic and Danish are also good, of course! Nordic dubs are the best <3
LOL, the guy voicing Quasimodo in Norwegian also voices that Team Rocket-dude in Pokemon. xD (sorry, I always post too many comments at the same time -.-')
The Swedish voice actor, Joakim Jennefors, is a very active dubber and actually sung the first Pokémon theme in Swedish. He also voices Squidward in SpongeBob and Bear in Bear in the big blue house.
Well the Finnish Quasimodo wouldn't sound a lot of better in chorus than in that part but I still think Finnish part was best ;D He has sensitive voice as Quasimodo should have =)
Jeg er norsk, og hadde bare hørt den norske til nå, men nå bøyer jeg meg i støvet; den danske og svenske er fantastisk! Rett og slett nydelig og høre på.
Well I must say all the nordic languages flow quite well with the song, but my vote is for Danish. Partly from the flow, and the voice of the singer. I don't know how anyone can hate a language, I'm fascinated by them. I can understand "hating a language", if you're forced to take it in school, and having trouble learning it. However this isn't the context of the complainers. Lighten up complainers, and just listen to the music, and appreciate the beauty of different languages
@Jukka70 Well what if half of your relatives happen to live in Denmark, and when they visit you or you visit them, you get to hear Danish even tho you don't understand a word? They just don't always remember it.
I think I like Swedish better, even tho I'm forced to study it, not Danish. It sounds more sensible to me. As my uncle (who lives in Denmark) says: "Danish is like speaking with a potato in your mouth."
I'm not hating it, but not particularly liking either. Imo not a beautiful language.
@Beehf Well I certainly understand that it can be tough. My stepgrandmother (stepmothers mother's) family came mainly from Quebec, and when they visited my stepgrandmother had to translate, as I didn't know a word of French. I guess I was mainly making the comments because my country has a lot of people in it who don't appreciate other countries, and it was those people that I was basically annoyed at. I just love languages and good singers
hey you, finnish person. i have seen that you like to complain on sweden. stop right now. you just embarress yourself! i'm not from sweden but i love the language, and i can tell that many people i know hates finnish. including me, it's a terrible language. ykksi kakksi kokksi? wtf xD? i don't usually talk like this about other languages but now i'm just telling the truth, so stop complain on the swedish language, everyone knows that's because you are neighbors and you wan't attention, haha
i know it is mounth since you posted the comment but i just whanted you to know this:
that this gave me a good laugh (ykksi kakksi kokksi? wtf xD?).
and that i feel exsactly the same way on everything you said. it isn't anyones place to go out, and tell people how much there language sucks, and how much they hate it. the love for ones mother-tounge is one of the most dearest a culture/country/person can have. and it is up to everyone respect/ apreciate that.
@sspiderppig It's "yksi, kaksi, kolme" (one, two, three). And please write properly, will you? With Capitals and change that i to I. Thank you. Greetings from Finland.
@nukkelapsi That person claimed to not be swedish, but I still feel like I want to apologize on behalf of the rude person who insulted your language. I think finnish is facinating. Greetings from Sweden.
I think all versions are good. The Danish one may have the most beautiful singing voice, but it doesn't fit Quasimodos character. It is too bright for him, I believe.
I think the Finnish voice sounds too young and not too fitting, but the guy's got a nice voice. The Norwegian singer is awesome and also reminds me a lot of the Swedish one. The Danish singer has a great voice too, it's trong. The Swedish singer has a really strong voice as well, I really love his voice. I think it's very powerful. The Icelandic is really good too, but not as strong as the Norwegian/Danish/Swedish voices. I think:
I love the finnish, norwegian and icelandic versions the best:)
Der i solens skinn looks like it could mean 'there I will be' and 'there in sunshine' if you're dutch (Daar zal ik zijn & daar in zonneschijn) and they both fit the song:P
I think they are good to Quasimodo... But, in the danish movie, i think it's someone else that taking the dialouge, though. But I couldn't hear that. ^___^
The Danish is the best and it's not because I'm Danish, it is really the best. The Icelandic voice sounds like he's an old man, and the Swedish voice sounds like he has a cold. I like the Norwegian and Finnish too though :)
I'm danish, my language is neither "dirty" nor "Ugly"! Every language is beautiful, in their own way. To someone finniah sounds like gibberish, but it's beautiful even though! Shame on you >:(
The Swedish version has the best version and the Norwegian has the best translation of the english song of this. Dane83t that you said was just bullshit,Why do you hate Sweden anyway?
It's all amazing, but the Dane83t's comment makes me laugh badly... Hahaha, I think it's just the language. I love Swedish as all the Scandinavian languages but that's right that they sound like mumbling sometimes. Hahah...
oh damn. the finnish singer is so good in this one, he was such a sweet and soft voice, and now the worst part of the song was left for him.... :( but i liked it still! :) norwegian was the best, as usual. great singers!
I'd love to see that sequence or another HOND-song in multilanguage (ok, "God help the outcasts" has such a video, but I don't like the song very much).
translation for the Finnish part :)

The Danish part is the best! :D I don't like the Swedish, it sounds like he's singing with food in his mouth ..

Great job :) Everything fits.
I'd love to see that sequence or another HOND-song in multilanguage (ok, "God help the outcasts" has such a video, but I don't like the song very much).

You mean with lots of different languages, or just the Nordic ones?

I mean in lots of different languages. That would be cool. But I am unable to do this :(

They all sound almost the same. Little differences between them but very little. I like this song.
