The Leds are from different things taht i had before and the cicuit boards was from those Bouncy rubber balls that flashes different colors when you bounce them.

I'm on alot of forums -lol - but I think you're talking about XI right? I saw the RSX cop car - it looks interesting indeed. Those bouncy rubber balls can be found at 99c stores or party supply stores, you can wire up to 4 -6 LEDs to a board easily btw.

awesome. Yeah XI is the one. What battery do you use? a 9V? I'm almost done with the new body kit style, just touching up a few spots and then by Christmas or my pay check after christmas I should have my airbrush so I can paint it. It will be a lexington, ky police car when I'm finished

It's custom made but you can find LEDs on Ebay - just search for them on there.

i call BS cuz w/o custom fitment this didn't work, the chassis is an inch and a half too short.

Your reg. chassis would be too short for that particular model - I made custom extention but you can also use about 2 of the grey spacer to extend the chassis to fit the wheel wheels correctly. Like I mention before this is a custom model body fitted on an EXTENDED xmod's chassis.

The paintjob - I did that. I also used Decals that I got from an online store. The Police lights are from a revell police model. The flashing lights - ijust rewired a circuit board from a cheap flasher toy and I put it on the car.

ok cool thanks for answering all the questions but theres one last one.....how did you fit the 9v battery in the xmod?? none off mine can hold a 9v insind them........not even the hummer.

I don't use a 9 volt - someone else was asking about that. i had smaller batteries for mine and in the hummer I had it attatched to the xmods power supply output jack.

yeah - that's way too small. anything closer to 1/28 should fit better ( there's not alot of stuff that fits exactly on a xmods chasis btw)

I don't think there is one - remember all models are either 1/24 or 1/25 which are both slightly larger than the xmod which is 1/28. The best thing is to convert an xmod car into a police car.

You need to get a flasher circuit board and rewire the LEDs with longer wires so you can put it anywhere on your model or xmod body. You can find some flashing stuff at Walmart or at a party supply store.

How would I go about adding a siren to this?

You would need a circuit borad that plays the siren sound on it. I just used a regular flasher board with no sound ( it can be annoying after alittle while-lol)

Yeah it's mounted on an evo chasis, everything was customized by me except the decals. I haven't done one for anyone else b4 but i'm working on a L.A. Sheriff's one at the moment. It's the same model only that it will be a black and white plus i'll be doing a F-150 Sheriff's truck too after this one. Maybe I can do one but it'll be the xmod body only - the cop model are getting hard to find. I'll post a notice for anyone to see when i plan on doing so.

Hey, How did you do make the strobe lights on the car. I want to try to make an F-150 Police truck. Whadda ya think?

A F-150 Police truck sounds good! To make the strobe light you need a circuit board from anything that blinks like from a toy fire engine/ambulance or a teddy bear with flashing lights - all you have to do once you got that is to solder the lights (cut off the LEDs w/the wires attached from the Xmod set) in place of the ones on the circuit board. You then bore holes in the model where you want the lights to go. It's really not hard- once you get the board every thing else comes to your mind!

Yeah i did - i actually used a circuit board that had blue LEDs on it so all i did was added on the red and white ones. A police hummer vehicle sounds good too - there's a pic of one that a sheriff owns in Texas i think (I don't know if it still exsist or what).
