Listening to a christian talk about physics is like a caveman telling us we don't know enough about nuclear fusion. It just doesn't feel quite right. Anyone else get that feeling?
@lmhjs1000 No I still think there is only one God. Because it would be very contradictory to have more than One. The issue of stoning actually been of controversy, why? Because before considering punishing someone one has to make sure that their life is not in danger, or else how would the person learn a lesson; it is definitely not encouraged. Although I do not endorse homosexuality, I believe everyone has their rights. Whether its right or wrong; they will be judged by God Himself in the End.
If you don't like the science because of your religion then don't watch the video. That's the thing with most religious people.They don't realize nobody really gives a good fuck what they believe. It turns out, if God were on CNN..people would actually be coerced into obedience. No coercion... people freely choose God through Faith --which are you?

But I still believe in a supreme Being that governs us in an external, isolated system unaffected by our workings (please don't look down upon me for having my views, it'll make you look ignorant). We just haven't found a way to know for sure, but I 100% have believe he's out there.

String theory is merely a mathematical equation that quells the chaos that is Quantum Mechanics. M theory slaps string theory in the face though. and to answer your question no one knows the origin of the universe, but what you say is a common idea.

I just wish we could do away with all the little visual eccentricities and narrative conceits (as cute as they are) and concentrate on making the substance and science as clear as possible. Anyone interested in watching this video doesn't need to be lured in and talked down to by poorly rendered CGI characters. The facts that are being discussed are wonder enough.
I do like a lot of the particle visualisations though. :-)
Actually there is more then three particles, and those particles are build up by smaller things called quarks. And there is more then three different quarks too...

The intro IS lame, but the info is great. I've been studying Physics, Cosmology etc, and it really does make the information accessable to the general public.

Well I think its natural proces of finding equality of energy. And the more universe builds itself, the more stable it becomes for bigger differences in time. And I think maybe our space will sometime be just a particle.
