@ETM299 This is about the cleanest the lake has been in nearly forever. That is the trade off with the zebra mussels. They cleaned up our mess and stuck to the mud bottom, preventing it from getting riled up and dirty. The problem is, they stick to nearly anything they can and drop the oxygen levels in the water.
@cutter14 That's because of all the zebra mussels, they filther the water. Gobies feed on them, which is both good and bad news; unlimited food supplies for gobies.
Sure looks like it. Erie is a giant dump from the 18 and 1900's Amazing that anything still lives in it. You can dive anyplace in Erie (almost snorkle) and find some crazy litter. Beautiful lake on the surface.
This is just north of the State Park on a calm summer day

Thanks for this! I know when i go there in 10 days I am going to be bouncing worms and jigs off the bottom. Lot of bronzebacks down there!

Good visibility that day.. We can thank the invasion of zebra mussels for that!

Did you see em? @ 1:14 there are smallmouth bass, decently sized. You can tell em by the black tail.

Lake is cleaner now than it has been in the last 100 years, aquatic life that hasn't been there for many decades is now returning.
