I'm glad to hear that you'll give Linux a try! May just suggest that you list every major thing you do on windows before you switch? If most of them are fulfilled in Linux as well, the transition will be way smoother.
Nothing to be afraid of! I myself was a noob too a couple of months ago.
Linux can pretty much be installed anywhere (PC, Mac, phone, video game, TV) so the answer is no - any computer will be fine. But since there are so many "flavors" available, care should be taken to choose the right one, and the installation method will vary.
I'm afraid a comment in youtube is too short to give a full answer on that, so in the meantime I guess you can look up ubuntu.com while I post a video on it
It's better than that of Windows. Not a single malware or breach within all this time using it. It is similar to that of the Mac OS. The flavor I reccomend (Ubuntu) is the most user-friendly and will certainly work "out of the box."
@mkola59 I have used Linux in the past Mark. Its a beautiful thing. If you decide to try it out one day... it might be wise to invest in a new hard drive, solely for Linux to run on. Im days away from going back to Linux forever
I knew it was Linux right away when i saw multiple desktop sessions. I think im days away now from going back to Linux forever... Im choosing Ubuntu
