@RajaMCool are you high? or have you just not listened to any of THEIR (not "They're") songs. Lovecats, Six Different Ways, Strange Attraction, Doing the Unstuck, Fire in Cairo, etc. None of them sound dark and sinister. You are entitled to dislike all those songs but why does everyone just assume every Cure song is dark. In fact Robert Smith and The Cure are are some of the most diverse musicians of the last 30 years.

@guitarGUNFIGHTxxx i see absolutely no evidence that any of those 3 bands influenced the cure. skynyrd is glorified country music, the beatles are overrated and zeppelin is hard rock. the cure are punk/post-punk. and i can guarantee you that the cure had never even heard of skynyrd in their early days. its much more likely (more true) that they were influenced by Iggy Pop and The New York Dolls like all the other punk bands from the late 70's
