  • I don't understand 6 years and what has been accomplished??????????

  • Canada will do what NATO ( United States), tell them. The United States in turn will do what the Industrial Military Lobbyists tell them. This stupid war bankrupted the Soviet Union. It`s presently bankrupting the U.S. It will sure as hell destroy us too.

GET A LIFE CANADA. YOU`VE GOT OVER A MILLION CITIZENS AT OR BELOW THE POVERTY LEVAL. OUR MONEY AND RESOURCES WOULD BE FAR BETTER SPENT LOOKING AFTER OUR INTERNAL AFFAIRS

  • technical capacities

  • good lets get the hell out.......it was the u.s.a's falt anyway let them fix it

  • canadas pulling out because they r thinking the afghan goverment is able to do it on there own

  • Good, we should get the hell out of Afghanistan.

  • what pisses me off even more is he says "I dont think the canadain military, although they wont admit it, wont wnat to continue after that point" how the fuck do u know u cat hugging fail of a prime minister. fuck u harper

  • as a proud canadian i think it will be a sad day when canada pulls out of a war-ridden country. when we so sollumly claim ourselves to be a country who helps outhers, to pull out before we are done our job would be a big fat fucking downfall on canadas reputation.

  • It's not even our troops who want to pull out of Afghanistan. It's the civilians that have never fought in a war and never will. Our troops chose to sign up. We should be supporting them. If we got behind them as a nation we could make an incredible difference in the war. In my opinion we shouldn't leave. And please don't go on about how we're over there for oil. How much oil have we pulled out of Afghanistan?Besides, we have Alberta! What about 9/11? Oh right that was a hoax! Come on guys.

  • "By 2011, when this military mission ends, our Canadian soldiers will have served there a decade on the front lines, much longer than during either of the world wars,"

You got a liitle more than 12 Months Mr. Harper.. hope you are working on your exit plan.. Time is ticking.. We are all watching!

  • He has no exit plan. all they know is that they;re getting out it 2011, how? Who knows. These stupid politicians even gave the CDS crap when he started planning out details for an exit strategy without permission. while the conservatives are the only party that support my living (military), I just can't stand harper

  • Agreed. The usgs had suprising results with their assessment of oil in the basins in northern afghanistan. Media seems to be ignoring their latest assessment. I wonder why?I hate harper asswell, yet he is just another sellout puppet to this corporate dictatorship, masked as a democracy. The real people to blame are the corporations.

  • You all watch, we are not leaving Alganistan at all. Something will happen to keep us there, purhaps attaks on Canada will strengthen that rebound. Harper is such a liar, we were suppose to be out 2 years ago as per Harper statements then. It is all politics, watch and learn....

  • @garyco99 ,agreed, they will probably create another 9/11 incident, to gain more controle over the masses.

Yet we know the real reason they are there.Oil and opium.

  • we are not there just to keep peace. the infantry men over their have been tasked with search and destroy the enemy

  • @tyyleer It is a great training ground for our troops. Where else could they train against real enemies.

  • Comment removed

  • @justanoldman1

that is the dumbest fuckin comment ever!

  • @bioniczulu No I think yours was.

  • even if you don't accept it, Canada has always been a policing Country. what the hell do you think Peace Keepers do?

The "Main force" is out by 2011 so the liberals can shut there traps now.

  • i know everyone has their own opinion about this matter. I personally have my aplication in the armed forces right now. I am trying to get over seas as soon as possible

  • okay i dont know what to say to this, personally i wanna go back over but thats just me, i think we should stay and eradicate the insurgency its a good enough reason for me

  • wasted money. conservatives will lose votes because of this

  • You can't march into someone's home then point a gun at someone's head and say, "We are right and you VILL be a democracy! Sieg Heil!" and expect them to see you as 'liberators'.

  • If Harper had concentrated on reconstruction from the very beginning, our troops wouldn't be getting killed. Of course, if we weren't puppets for the US army, we wouldn't be there in the first place. Insurgent by definition is a rebel. Harper would promote the idea that if we aren't there, the taliban will run amuck, when really, our troops are just protecting oil pipelines. Harper cares as little about Afghans as he does Canadians.

    Contemptable prick.

  • jacknapeVO

    Amen Canuckybro.

  • Do you forget thatthe Liberals sent us to Afghanistan back in 2001/2002 for a Combat mission, that we went to the capitol for reconstruction and peace keeping in 2003-2005, then went back down to the south in 2006 to remove the taliban and rebuild the area.

It is hard to rebuild a school when it keeps getting burnt down and the school children killed.

Harper didnt get us into this mess, he just inherited it. Hes giving us the tools to do our jobs.

  • @Thanato26

How come Canadian troops are protecting poppy fields and allowing the opium industry to thrive. Afghanistan is an illegal war to start with (No charges against the Taliban and or Bin Laden.)

Opium is key (cash flow) to keep the illusion of the world's central banking system going.

Unless you can tell me why Canada is there in the first place ?

  • @boots920 Well we are destroying poppy fields, I know people who helped destroy a few. However they had to replace the crop with something to help the farmer. With the poppy field its catch 22. You can destroy all the fields and leave hundreds of thousands with out a lively hood and they will join the taliban, or you can slowely as you build up the area replace the fields with something that can help the farmers.

  • @Thanato26

You wouldn't have to go through the process if the first place if the idiots wouldn't have invaded the sandbox in the first place.

Now there's a huge problem to deal with all paid for by taxpayer money.

1850's - Boxer Rebellion same bull shit...instead of the USA it was the East India Company. Opium is cash flow...

  • @Thanato26 Does people like Harper and ME will join the army. Its the drop- out hopeless who does. They have to earn a living somehow. What did we achieve?,,,,Talibans still controls more than 80% of the land in Afghanistan. Our soldiers are dying for the American expansion policies, and our Harper is a stooge of the American/Israeli policies. Our army is one of the best in the world, but our political leaders have misused them.

  • @TruthPowerful1 How come Many of the people I work with are University and College Graduates who have decided to join the Military, both Enlisted and Comissioned?
