I bought this bike a few weeks ago same colour 07 model but only had 500kms as the previous owner was working overseas, Its a kickass bike I love it so much makes me happy just looking at it. The ride is awesome and sounds good stock.

In the real world, I'd be driving my grandma wagon in shit conditions, in the real world, I'd be using the R6 on nice days and having fun.
I don't understand why a lot of magazine peeps give the R6 garbage reviews saying it's only ment for track, if that is the case, then any sports cars and bikes should have the same fucking treatment. When you get a fast vehicle, you get it on performance not practicality, I sometimes question if these legit reviewers are true to their words.
@HypermaxZ Truth is most R6 riders are just riding around town or maybe on some twisty back roads, and honestly the R6 is a pretty shitty bike for that. It makes no torque down low and the ergos are nuts. But people ride it because their friends ride it and it looks cool and they don't know there are other options. I'm all for vids that give people pause to think about what kind of riding they're really doing and what kinds of bikes are best suited to that.
@aluisious I guess if you put it like that. And now that actually gave me some clarity on why a lot of people that review super sport bikes do so as such. But I still say if you treat the bike to track days like it was built for, you get the most out of it, and for me, that's the reason why I still think the R6 can still hold it's own, even though all the other makers caught up and even surpassed the bike.
It's about the total image... looks, sound, your mind, handling, speed if you like to accelerate on straight roads and so on.

@thegreatseal1991 I am about 5 10, but 200 lbs. The R6 has plenty of poke for you, and is fairly tall for a 600. I would say maybe you will look big and tall, but the speed is there.

Yuck. That 650F is awful looking. I ride a 2008 R6, my starter bike, and it is not hard to ride at all. I'm about 5'8'' and 140 lbs. I feel the bike is perfect for me. Just my .02. I'd buy a R6 over a 650F any day. Yamaha FTW.

all you idiots hating on this review probably didn't even listen to the review. Did you put it on mute? they both said that the R6 would own on the track. But for communting and cruising around town, the 650 is more comfortable. The title should have been "is the GSX650F more comfortable around town vs the R6?".

If you have enough riding experience and know what your doing you will take a full blown sportsbike of an cc and take on any sports tourer any day of the year no matter what the conditions!
