  • Nice, muslims are not going to hear them coming :)

  • "Right lads, we've sneaked up to the enemy, they're 300 yards away and all sleeping soundly, now if you'll all get out and fire up your big diesel generators, we can put these puppies on an 8 hour charge ready to go home...."

  • How is it going Contract wise in general speak ? I push this puppy in my favorites to all my EX SSF buddies and they wish we'd had a couple in the 8CH and the RCD's doing recce op's !!!

  • @Steacy783 No contracts. The military lost interest when Obama admin came in. The vehicle was designed to go into the CV-22. It operates on hard pack terrains - like Afganastan. It has to be lightweight to get long battery life - so no armor. It is a recon vehicle - let the UAVs to the fighting once targets are located.

  • YES YES YES...sneak up on those damn rag heads!

  • Obama approved, put a wind mill on it to charge the battery. LMAO

  • Golf Cart on Steroids.

  • were's the dillon mini gun on the roof? god people these days lol

  • @pyroman675 - This vehicle is meant for stealth. Probably snipers will drive it around points without getting noticed. A mini gun will just spoil the surprise.

  • This is perfect to sneak around enemy's in war just slap on some armor and were good to go!

  • Smart idea for military use and hunters who want to go in for that big elk.

  • I like the fact that being electric it's 100% instant torque, but man I like my buggies to rumble! Great application for the military though with how quite it is.

  • we have washes in the desert and they are always very soft...electric jeep might be better so you dont get stuck ,unless you plan to stick to roads

  • can this thing get air or will it damage the buggy?

  • I want to create an amphibious version of this. Seadoo drive system with A bio-diesel smart car engine as a backup generator.

  • Nice wheels, but how long battery can last?

  • wow your driving a puss mobile so you got to have a gun on board so you have a lil bit of man pride I just find this to be funny

  • I hear 1khz! FAIL

  • love the suspension

  • Dude it's a freakin' WARTHOG! Somebody hook me up with a guass cannon!

  • wat the fuck why is there a guy with a machine gun on the passenger seat SHOW OFF!

  • is it 2wd

  • @sonicboomracing Yes - 2wd. Not good for soft surfaces, but this was built for hard packed desert areas.

  • @rockin1949 where in the desert is there hard packed sand???

  • @rockin1949 frount or rear

  • im trying to build something similar. can you tell me something about motor and that stuff?

  • @darwlj The motor is an Azure Dynamics 50kW with controller. The batteries are lithium ion manganese dioxide with a battery management system.

  • @rockin1949 thanks

  • @rockin1949 - How far can it go? What's its maximum range?

  • @MyShelfSpace probably about 10 miles.....but that gets cut down to about 3 miles if you run the Air Conditioner and drive over 30 mph.

  • ive always wanted a military grade powerwheel

  • Why should the army need electric vehicles? :O

  • @G088Y - They are very quite. Good for covert operaations.

  • @rockin1949 Right!

  • @G088Y AMBUSH!!! OH NO OUR BATTERY IS DEAD THERE IS TOO MANY OF THEM WHERE ALL GONA DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @G088Y they might need them because u cant hear it from miles away.

  • @G088Y with fotovoltaic panel you car charge it anywhere , so you dont need to transport fuel

  • 2 horse can pull faster....

  • $90,000 - $100,000 (military version)

  • Price? Just curious. A ball park figure would be appreciated.

  • incredible! I love it and I want one.

  • can a 17 year old with a cbt and full car license with pass plus to get a buggy as the first car insurance wise? PLEEESSE! i need a buggy, my da wud b the main driver technically on paper but i think i would use it more often anyway :D

  • ****Really Awesome**** Dune Buggys, Go Carts, dirt Bikes, Scooters & more... VIsit Jbikes.ecrater.cm

  • Nice quiet means for

    to insert a sniper team.

    Pop'n'go...

  • If the army were to use that it sure wouldn't be with Lithium polymer batteries. One gun shot to a pack and that whole vehicle is burnt toast. I would be cool for no combat situations though. If you don't believe me look up lipo battery fire on this site. You can stab one with a knife and it will burn instantly.

  • @apage251 - there are several lithium battery chemistries. The Lithium Cobalt version has the charateristics you rederence. We used Lithium Manganese chemistry batteries which do not have this problem. Lithium Iron Phosphate also do not have this problem but are heavier than the Lithium Cobalt.

  • @apage251 is that worst than a gunshot to the gas tank?

  • @apage251 They also can be use in extrame heat.

  • @apage251 theyde probably put steel plating over the batteries just like gas tanks in gas cars that stuffs explosive to ya know and btw the wont catch fire if theyre punctured

  • @apage251 Not true with modern LiPO. Almost all Lipo fires are from overcharging. Any decent BMS (battery management system) will protect the pack at the cell level to prevent any overcharging.

  • Thrcardrawer - lol that would solve the world energy crisis then lol. It won't work, as the are alway more losses than gains

  • WEAK

  • its very quiet so its really good army vehicle!

  • you say its fast, in the video it didnt go fast(what I call fast is +60km/h)

  • they should make an electric vehicle that not only drives the wheels, but turns a generator that recharges the battery as you go. so you will never have to plug it in.

  • @thecardrawer10 aka : perpetual motion. LoL

  • @thecardrawer10

A cheap science experiment would prove this impossible. Use a car battery, power inverter, and a car battery charger. The inverter takes the place of the electric motor and the car charger takes the place of your generator. Attach the parts in a loop, Battery to inverter to charger back to battery. The battery eventually dies to energy loss from heat, and resistance from the components.

I only know this because I had the same thought as you a few years ago.

  • well i hope you get full support for this. its very stealthy i bet.

i wonder if you could get some foldable solar panels to make it independant. put a machine on it to create water from the moisture in the air and youve got a desert machine !! especially if its not heavy.

  • very nice!

  • looks weird no sound

  • is that your dumme buggy

  • Hopefully we will figure out how to harness electricity from the air, because batteries just simply don't last. None the less, Really nice buggy.

  • Can these be armoured? for how long can you ride them before you have to recharge?

    Nice ride..

  • by nice cars it all about the sound and that part is missing XD

  • You ever thought of using regen shocks? At least one copmpany is making them.

  • Army gets all of the cool toys.

  • nice... are they in wheel motors?...cars with in wheel motors= possibly the best wheeled vehicle handling humankind will ever see (low COG).

  • I'd stick a v8 in that

  • dude it sounds like a comment from a porn film.

  • slow but looks cool

  • 0-60 in 5.5 seconds, how is that slow?

  • probably alot lighter than gasoline powered engine

  • Nice and quiet for covert-ops.

  • From a flat battery, how long to charge from a mains outlet and how long from the unit fitted with solar panels? Do you have a spec sheet that you could provide? Thanks for your time.

  • A 50 amp / 240 VAC input charger will charge the the 335 VDC / 12Kwh battery in about 4 hours. We tested a 350 watt solar panel set-up and it took about 10-12 days to charge in full sunlight. The solar panel solution is design for topping off or clandestine operations where the vehicle would be parked for extended periods before being used again.

  • Very tempted. Have you produced any for civilian customers and if so what alterations from the original were made?

What would be the range of the largest battery system that was mentioned previously? I am looking for a vehicle for remote expedition purposes that does not rely on fuel.

  • We have not produced any for civilian use. No alterations would be required for civilian use - we simply don't install the machine gun mounts. The range is highly dependent upon the terrain. On the hardpack shown in tthe video with the small hills and dips, the range is about 30 miles. The solar panels are optional. The large charger is an off-vehicle unit. Remember that this is a specific mission vehicle and we need to make sure that it will perform to your needs. Miles and terrain?

  • Rocky terrain, sand and compact. 30 miles should be fine although 50 would would be better obviously. If were to decide to discuss more specific requirements I would obviously like to visit your facility. Do you have a prototype vehicle to test or were all vehicles delivered?

  • We do not recommend using in sand as the unit is rear wheel drive only and propelling the vehivle thru sand takes a lot of energy. It was originally designed for hardpack as foung in Iraq, etc. We have a unit at our facility for demonstartion.

  • Sorry for all the questions. What is the height from ground to highest point, probably top of roll cage. I am thinking of transportation, the width and length are fine to fit in our loading bay but I am a little concerned as to the height. A hydraulic lift could be fitted to the back of our truck as another option.

  • The maximum height is 60" from the ground to the highest point on the upper cage rollbar.

  • @shallwe33 You can use a winch to compress the suspension a bit if its to high.

  • @rockin1949 Designed for Iraq but isnt recommended for sand. Thats some great fucking engineering right here!

  • theres realy something wrong with this a production electric car ways more than a gas but the millaterys is 1200 lbs what the wtf????????

  • buah hahahahah, lol, $ 80,000, whith all that money I can build nine of them

  • I understand, but the Lithion Ion battery pack alone is $35,000. The Azure drive system is about $8,000. The rest is frame modifications, etc. Good luck.

  • no way, the fabrication cost per unity is probably les than 10,000, this is marketing control, the fabrication of batteryes can not cost that amount of money, even with the best quality materials on the galaxy.

  • Do some homework. Get pricing from Valence-they are a Lithium Ion battery supplier and Axure Dynamics for the motor. You don't have to take my word for the pricing.

  • Im not underestimating the value of this amazing vehicle, what im trying to say is that there are cheaper ways to build it, if you are the car's builder you can become your oun batery builder, these batteryes are not imposible to build, it only uses metal oxides, LiCoO2, and uses the active material as cathode. Build the car is more complex than build the batteryes.

  • The goal on the EV industry is not to ensambling ready made parts, the goal in the industry is to find the way to pruduce the esential parts of the vehicle such as the in wheel motors and the rest of the components in order to give a reasonable price, so any ordinary citycen can own one, once again, it's an amaizing car, but, so sad that only rich people can own them

  • How do I get one?!!! I want one!!!!! Sooo bad! that thing looks amazing

  • We sell them for about $US80,000 - $US85,000. We would have to revisit the BOM and update the pricing. Thanks for your comment.

  • Havn't the prices gone down, or at least some of the technology involved? its been three years since the post of this video...

    How many Volts?

  • Been living with alternative energy for 15+ years now - BEFORE it was "cool". My 3700 pound battery is nearing the end of it's life. YOU try and recycle it! It's not easy. All that lead. I've been offered between 50 cents and seven dollars per cell to recycle. What a rip off.

  • bad as SHIIITTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!

  • top speed, acceleration, and how far on a full charge. how long to charge?

  • hee hee

  • Like I said before or asked Have you never heard of SOLAR PANEL's on a car before !??! Simple as'd MO'Fo's how do you think the first electric cars were developed !?? Thumb Me Down surpressor it's okay ! So far FREEDOM of type is still alive here !!! Now go to ( Stoned to Death ) Cheer's !:)

  • @Steacy783 Dude.. solar panels are in no way capable of producing enough for a car. First electric cars were made in the 1920s and you can forget solar panels in 1920.

  • and at 10 mph

  • wow your stupid electric can be way faster than gas, it just usually when people think electric they think power wheels or old crappy electric motors

  • then ur narrow minded and linited sight for the future!!! batterys are recycled not dumped!!!

  • umm no, battery acid can't be recycled. and actualy about 10% of a battery is actualy recyclable, if that.

  • um yes the palstic is chopped up and reused, lead is melted for other uses, andyes the acid is recycled, they are recycled!! i seen vids of it being done!!!

  • those all make gases when they melt down. harsh ones that fuck up the world same same way an engine does.

  • they might but better than doin nothing, and btw the earth produces some pretty potent gases as well!!! naturally

  • its true, brushless motors have come along way, and the power output is unrivaled by any fuel burning engine, but our current state of battery/electricity storage leaves us short of developing a true means of electric transport.

Solar panels are a nice idea, but that size at the current level of output isn't going to add but a few miles to your drive.

Costs of good batteries or capacitors are still soo high its not efficient to leave fuel just yet, hopefully soon!

  • Great for Airsoft ... Plans and info please!

  • nice, everyone wants a US military contract aye? I'm trying to sell the US armed forces camo colored toilet paper meself .

  • Where's its Ma-duece?

  • i would love to find schematics, blueprints, or plans for a similar chassis for a custom build

  • Pretty good, Its nice to know the revolution will still go on when gas goes up to 100 dollars a gallon. The (have knots) may yet prevail!

  • i wonder how far you can travel on a single charge and how long it takes to complete a charge

  • how many kw's? luks gud

  • 50kw induction motor

  • nvm i saw the end

  • how can i get one of these?

  • Great, but what if you run out of elect, in the middle of the desert? it should have a gas powered back up,.

  • But what if you run out of petrol in the middle of the desert?

  • i guess youd be further than you were when the electric ran out :P

  • ya never heard of solar panels on a car before then huh !!?

  • is there a wat to increase pay load on a dune buggy? if so how? will bigger tires mean bigger payload?

If im just a couple pounds over the pay load of a dune buggy will it matter or does it have to way over or what?

  • Yes, if you are just 1 pound over the payload limit, the dune buggy will not be able to move.

Of course it will be fine, it will just put a lot of stress on the powertrain and slow it down.

  • okay, cut the nonsense and show me this thing doing 4-wheel drifts in-between landmines!

    DORIFTO!

  • that is fucking cool. but the rang is probably not that good

  • You'll NEVER hear me coming ,,, RIP !

  • lithium polymer batteries can burt into endless flames when overcharged/overused.. dont believe me? youtube search most dangerous battery

  • So you think applications which use LiPos don't take these into consideration?? Any accumulator cell will explode when over charged or over discharged. Get a clue. Please.

  • And a gas engine explodes with a mere incorrect spark ! A gas tank will burst it's seams if you over fill it and the climate is to hot !

  • thats y they are vented...

  • Incorrect sparks happen all the time... Infact many engines allow you to adjust when the spark happens. Nothing wrong with that. If a gasoline tank explodes.. that would mean a full recall of that entire product line because a gasoline tank or engines for that matter happens only in movies and in drag racing where they use liquid explosives as fuel.

  • @Janusha : SOLARpanels are getting better and better everyday ! Quite frankly the day I saw a car go from zero to sixty ,, silently in what 6seconds I knew I'd seen the new world !! Give up gas for your kid's ,, they do not need it !

  • that's is awesome

  • Cool :3

  • i mean as a emergency engine like if the electricity acid spilled or you needed more power to get through mud or a steep hill

  • i see you have the technical knowledge of an 8 year old

  • take that choad out of your mouth i cant understand u

  • its a rl warthog

  • there should e a mini 5hp gas engine just incase its needed

  • As an emergency generator?

Yeah, I'd want that for off-roading.

As long as it's not too much space/weight.

  • 5hp's are decent sized, not huge though, like lawn mower size

  • That should be enough to drag you to a safe repair location at a reasonable speed, then?

I honestly don't know, but I imagine that 5 horses could pull a dune buggy.

  • no, i would use it to recharge the batterys

  • 50 kw is 67 hp that is enormous for a electric engine. and it is probally double that in tourque. that thing would kill a rhino or a polaris ranger no problem

  • un mostro!!!!!!!!!

  • tare

  • Comment removed

  • 12.5KW/hr battery pack, so you do the math on speed and range.

In electifiying the militaries transport this is not a bad effort.

  • What is the maximun speed?

  • 90 mph

  • they should make it electric primary and gas if you need it

  • So where is the company at now? The website is not working, or it has gone stealth, lol.

  • i live in hawaii. I can go to koolau ranch and ride horses dune buggies and go gliding

  • good for operating behind enemy lines

  • can I mount a t-shirt cannon on one of these and get the stability I need to accurately launch to hot chicks in large crowds? I need real world results here.

  • Lets see some wheelies!

  • Electric cars were built twenty years ago. Get with the times!

  • you, are an idiot :) gas engines were built 100 years ago, how's that for get with the times

  • hhaha

  • Actually the fist vehicles were electric or steam powered. Later on, the gas motor was used to provide electricity, not the main source of propulsion. Gas was still hard to aquire, transport and early vehicles wouldn't go far on gasoline.

  • not going to argue with that, I'm just saying that battery technology has made progress lately and the efficiency of brushless motors is far greater than that of internal combustion engines, yet people consider electric vehicles to be lame and puny.

  • those were steam engines, get with the times :)

  • actually just for the big companies and etc. but there were cars soon after the first cars ever made that were battery operated....lol sorry i just learned that so i had to say something

  • hahah he got owned

  • Ya... i bet this thing is fun for like 20 minutes before the battery dies lol.

  • Actually, the first vehicle was electric before gas engines were even in existence. Sad, people do not study their history. Electric has not won the battle till the batteries can match gasoline in energy density.

  • Fuck gay electric power, we want gears and engine noise etc.

  • @princepersia1 and be torque-less too..... Electric crushes gas or diesel. Look at it this way: the gas engine has to make noise like some dude who is all talk, but no action, whereas the electric does not have to prove its godly torque abilities. It would beat the crap out the the guy who is all talk.

  • Torque-less? Do you realize how much torque a turbo Duramax Diesel makes? Up to 2300Nm, that would annihilate the electric motor AND it doesn't need to be charged every 5 minutes, it takes 2 minutes to fill the tank where as the battery takes HOURS. A Ferrari's glamour and value comes from the speed, NOISE, and the feel. Do you really think an electric will give that experience? An EMP that is set off will destroy all electric motors, a pushrod, carbureted muscle car will drive.

  • @princepersia1 Actually all ELECTRONIC devices. Electric motors are not electronic; they use copper windings. The 2011 Duramax when put into production will produce 397 HP and 765 Ft-Lbs of torque. That is weak. I'll be "nice" and use a 350 HP at 3600 RPM electric just so you know even at less HP AND higher RPM they still own. The peak torque of such motors is around 1100 FT-LBs which would rape a Duramax. Go to reliance(dot)com to see for yourself or any other motor manufacturer site.

  • You didn't get me did you? I said for cars on the road, people like to have the experience being the noise, the gear changes THE RANGE. Electric is not going to take off unless they find a power source that can charge quickly, have outstanding range and last long, batteries of now do not tick these boxes and therefore electric is still not reliable or convenient regardless of torque and advantage. Plus I and alot of people would rather have the roar of a V8 than the whine of an electric.

  • @princepersia1 You did not get me because you replied to my comment first that I posted 11 months ago and if you read it fully you would have seen this: "Electric has not won the battle till the batteries can match gasoline in energy density." Had you taken the time to read that part you would could have saved yourself all the trouble of saying: "f*^% gay electric power". You brought it upon yourself and you embarrassed yourself for saying engines have more torque than electric.

  • @princepersia1

I dunno dude. You talk about reliability. I've been through a lot of lemons and clunkers, but my electric works every day with no fuss, because the motor has only one moving part. In the dead of winter, the gas engine in my old car wouldn't start half the time. My electric gets reduced range in extreme cold, but that's better than being stuck.

  • Are you a homosexual by any chance? Has your electric done 0-60 in 3.4 secs and a top speed of 220mph? You're an Atheist, how can you expect people to take you seriously?

  • @princepersia1 your a stupid fucking christian hick how can you take anybody who believes in an all powerfull faggot up in the sky seriously

  • @princepersia1

What the fuck? I was just commenting, dude. There was no need to go ballistic. I thought Christians were supposed to be chill. I guess not.
