this is why baseball is one of the best sports out there. even if the game sucks, you know there's gonna be some sort of fight in the stands. worth the money every time.
Why don't all you kunts shut your pie holes. Besides talking about baseball, what else can you legitimately talk about? Nothing, because all you think care about is each other's own teams. You goofy accent pricks.
@roBertpasteur I dont think the infield will be improved at all. Adrian Beltre is just as good as Adrian Gonzales defensively. They've both won 2 gold gloves. The upgrade comes at the plate, and having a switch hitter who is younger than Beltre. Theo also thinks that at Fenway, A-Gon could pop 40-50 dingers and drive in 130-140. He's hit over 30 home runs 4 straight years in a bigger park, and hit 40 last year.
@roBertpasteur They hardly ever play each other, but last year NY benefitted from bad umpiring. Cuzzi blew the call in game 2 that would have had MAuer on 2nd with a ground rule double in extra innings. That being said, NY was the better team last year. Minnesota only won 86 games. This year Minnesota is vastly improved, and they have a loud new stadium. And they didn't start sliding until after they clinched their division. NY was sliding weeks before they sewed up a playoff spot.
@roBertpasteur They wont sign Beltre AND gonzales, but I have a feeling Beltre will leave for a longer term deal than Boston is willing to commit to. Theo has been looking at A-gon for a few years now, trying to pry him away from San Diego. If they get him, obviously Beltre wouldn't be in the picture. And Victor Martinez is ok, but his best season he only hit .301 with 25 HR's 114 RBI. He doesn't compare to Manny offensively who routinely hit over 35 HR's. Manny had twelve 30 plus HR seasons.
@roBertpasteur If it's about momentum, then you're in trouble. Your team is 8 and 15 in their last 23 games. While Tampas starters, other than Price, are struggling too, you wont be facing them unless you can win your first round match up. If you have to go to Minnesota and play in that building, even without Morneau, Minnesota will be hard to beat. You better pray the Yanks win the division and get Texas at home in round 1.
@roBertpasteur 2 bad years? I'm not sure I'd consider 23 HR's & 89 RBI in only 109 games a bad year. Thats on pace for 32 HR's and 132 RBI over a full year. And last year, his bad one, he still hit 28 HR's with 99 RBI. Below his usual numbers, but not awful. People forget, he no longer has protection in the lineup as Manny is gone, so he sees less fastballs when he's ahead in the count. I think Boston will target Adrian Gonzales, Jayson Werth, & Brandon Webb, and look to trade DICE-K out west.
@roBertpasteur Tex is 21 for 93 this month with 3 home runs and only 3 doubles. That's 15 singles. I know he's havng a decent week this week, which really pulled him out of his Setember slump, but I have him on my fantasy team, so I follow him closely. And NY is 1st in offense, but 5th in AL pitching. Tampa is 3rd in hitting and 2nd in pitching. Minnesota has been the best team in all of baseball since the all-star break. Not sure if Texas can win without Josh Hamilton...the great Hambino.
@roBertpasteur Yes, Papi's numbers are identicle to Teixeira's. He's batting 9 points higher, 1 fewer HR, 6 fewer RBI, and is slugging 50 points higher. Papi was recovering from a torn wrist labrum, & bounced back this year. Not many batters consistantly hit 30 HR's and knock in 100 runs. But like Jeter, he should take a pay cut. Boston should give him 10 million a year plus incentives that could bring it to 15 depending on performance. Guarantee 2 years, with an option for a 3rd.
@roBertpasteur Last year after you spent half a billion dollars on the 3 most sought after free agents? I actually picked NY to win the Series, as did just about everyone else. However, Burnett is turning into a bust, & Teixeira's average is down 33 points, although the power is still there. You can rest your starters all you want! Hughes is the only one pitching well. Minnesota will beat you in the 1st round. (by the way, your insults are lame you sperm-burping douchenozzle!) LMFAO
@roBertpasteur And you can address Becketts ERA and I'll agree with you. He had an off year due to injury, just as Jeter had an off year. But both players are stars and will bounce back. Boston sheds more than 50 million from their cap. That's more than enough to re-sign Victor, Beltre, Papi and a couple of arms in the pen.
@roBertpasteur LOL It looks like I touched a nerve, Booster! Do you have sand in your vagina? LMAO It took the Yanks until there's 5 games left to put away a team that lost 4 of it's opening day starters for the season, and you lost a series to a bunch of minor league players on your own field when you had a chance to clinch? LOL Your team is limping around like a wounded duck, and your pitching wont even get you to the series this year. The only team you can beat is TEX because Hamilton is out!
@roBertpasteur Paper championships. Just like the Montreal Canadians when they bought all of their cups by buying minor league teams to get players like Jean Beliveau, and claim provincial rights to all players born in the Quebec province. None of your championships matter when you arent on a level playing field.
The Giants Championships are all Legit. The Rangers? Legit. The Islanders? Legit. The Jet's, Mets, and Knicks? Legit. But the Skanks are tainted like your mom's vagina! LMFAO
@roBertpasteur Rooters and Roosters arent pronounced the same...but I'll give you an "A" for effort, Corky! LOL
Again, our seating capacity is 36k and change. You cant get to 4 million in that Stadium in 81 games.
And you failed to address the 1990's when you won 3 world series! How is it Possible that playing in the bggest park, in America's most populous city, that Boston, which is one TENTH the size, AND in the the smallest park, outdrew you? The answer is Yanks fans are vBandwagoners! LMAO
@roBertpasteur 4-1?Try again! Booster And you didnt rock Papelbon. Ump Phil Cuzzi was wrong on 42% of his calls in the 9th according to K-Zone. He gave ARoid a free pass after a K! Cuzzi is a lifelong Yanks fan from NJ who called Mauers double in extra innings in last years ALDS, foul, costing Minnesota a shot at the game. Cuzzi has a history of blowing calls in the Yanks favor, and you can watch them all on youtube. He was fired in 1993 & only came back because of the labor strike.
@roBertpasteur How long have I been a fan? So long that I don't even remember my first trip to Fenway because I was too young! The first game I went to was Opening Day 1975. I was 2 and a half years old. I also went to Spring Training every year from 1978 on, back when the Red Sox Spring training was in Winterhaven at Chain O Lakes Park.
@roBertpasteur In the 1990's, a decade that saw NY win 3 World series titles, Boston outdrew the Yanks 23,194,592 to 22,496,721. How is it possible, that a Boston team in a city 1 tenth the size of NY, that hadn't won a single pennant that decade, outdrew a team that plays in the biggest park in baseball, from the largest city in the country? Hmm-looks like Boston fans were more loyal! Yup! and since you're a NY'er and cant do math, a stadium that holds 36k cant eclipse 4 mil in 81 games. LMAO
@roBertpasteur Allow me to school you Booster. From 1989-1996, the Red Sox, while playing in the smallest stadium in all of baseball, outdrew the Yankees, who play in the largest stadium in baseball. It wasn't until NY won the world series in 96 that NY outdrew the red sox!
Then you can look up the Royal Rooters and see that the Red Sox have the oldest and most loyal fan base in all of sports. In the 1970's Boston outdrew the Spanks 18,145,880 to 15,986,402. (Continued)
@roBertpasteur You needed the dissertation, booster, since you weren't able to understand my use of parody as a double entendre, but I digress. You can't come up with an excuse because there aren't any! Your team is healthy, we rocked your starters, AND Rivera, and you got beat by a bunch of kids on your own field. If A-Rod, Texeira and Cano were all out hurt, then that would be an obvious reason. However, it's tough to come up with a reason when all your starters are healthy! LMAO
@roBertpasteur You mean the new stadium that you can't sell out? LMFAO Boston is one tenth the size of NY, and has sold out every game at Fenway since 2003. When your stadium was opened, the funniest part was looking at all of the empty seats behind homeplate! What a complete joke! Talk about bandwagoners! The fans only show up for interleague games and games with Boston. LMFAO
NY had only 13 sell outs so far this year! Bandwagoners! LOL
@roBertpasteur LOL 2 of the posts were addressing your inability to understand what double entendre means! LMAO And if your team is "way better" than the Red Sox, how come our back up players just beat you twice in a row, knocking you out of 1st place? LMAO Looks like you're going to lose home field.
And nobody said the Yankees players cant get hurt too. But when NY loses a player to injury, they just buy another. Case in point, Posada got hurt a couple of years ago, they bought Ivan Rodriguez.
@roBertpasteur How much did Boston buy Lackey for? About half of what you bought Sabathia for! The same money that you guys paid AJ Burnett to be a .500 pitcher! LOL
You keep bringing up Tampa, a team that has a third of your payroll that's fighting you to the last week of the season! If NY lost your 1,2, & 3 hitters, as well as your center and left fielders & had Sabathia on the DL for half the year, youd have an explaination-but NY is healthy. NY has no excuse why they arent 10 games ahead!
@roBertpasteur Now that your 7th grade english lesson is complete, Corky, we certainly can talk about why our payroll is double that of the Rays. Because Tampa can't sell enough tickets to boost their payroll, and their stars like Evan Longoria make less than a million a year! When their star players become free agents, most will leave. Carl Crawford wont be back next year. Tampa has done well drafting and cultivating yung players, but they will lose most of them via free agency.
@roBertpasteur Let me help you Booster! "A double entendre may exploit puns to convey the second meaning. Double entendres tend to rely more on multiple meanings of words, or different interpretations of the same primary meaning; they often exploit ambiguity and may be used to introduce it deliberately in a text. Sometimes using a homonym (i.e. a different spelling that yields the same pronunciation) can be used as a pun as well as a "double entendre" of the subject." ie -parody and parity! LMAO
@roBertpasteur Beltre and Cameron are 5 million dollar a year patches that make slightly more than the 3.3 million dollar average salary for an MLB player. They aren't 180 million dollar multi year purchases You are comparing apples and oranges. Cameron and Beltran are acquisitions like when NY picked up Swisher or Chan Ho Park. Nobody bitches about those pick-ups. It's when they spend 161 million to buy the best pitcher in the league.
@roBertpasteur I'm sorry Booster if you don't understand the double entendre of using the word "parody" but you don't even know what a homonym is, so I am wasting my breath! LMFAO Just google double entendre and read the 3rd paragraph so you are able to follow me Booster!
Why do they trail Tampa? Boston's 1,2& 3 hitters are all out for the year, as well as Cameron. Again highest payroll doesnt guarantee a champ0ionship, but its a HUGE advantage. They lost more man games to the DL than any team.
@roBertpasteur I already explained it Booster! They spend more money! LMAO It's that simple! Why do you think that every other sport has a salary cap? It's to create parody. NY just overpays every free agent like Texeira, Sabathia and Burnett so no other teams can compete. They've been doing this since the first Yankee stadium was built, when the biggest park in the league gave them a huge revenue stream that no other team had. When the draft was implemented, until free agency, NY never won! LOL
@roBertpasteur 160 million dollar payroll is about 30% lower than the Yanks 206 mil payroll. And obviously, having the highest payroll doesnt guarantee a championship, otherwise NY would win every year, but it does give you a huge advantage. When Boston won their 2 titles this decade, they never had the highest payroll in the league! NY was 1st in payroll both years Boston won, by a huge margin! When is the last time NY won a world series without having the highest payroll in baseball? LMAO
@roBertpasteur i got a life its playing baseball and since i got the shit for brains i want you to take a second and look at that and see if i said anything about the standings all i was talking about was pedro and zimmer its good to see you caught onto the lick my dick bitch tho its not supposed to be serious thats the idea so at least you got that out of it congratulations on trailing the rays right now by the way its still a step ahead of us
Most likely the reason was because they were drunk. Look at all the other fight videos and I can guarantee most of those fans really thanked their friend Bud for making them a lot wiser (actually drunk and stupid). I don't drink anyway but maybe if stadiums found a way to limit people to a maximum of 2 alcoholic beverages each, it would stop a lot of this stupidity, and also save people a lot of money at games.
Both of us are yankees fans i'm the guy that threw both the father and the son over the railing those are my season tix in the old stadium. They where both wasted and drunk and had to spend the night in jail.....
LMFAO! The fat bastard on his back for starters! Too fucking funny! :-D Then daddy's boy gets a couple shots in but WAIT! He too gets tossed over the railing. Wooooohooooooooo!!!! Funny shit!!!!!!!!!!
This is stupid. Yankees and Red Sox have the craziest fans ever. I know New Yorkers take pride in their city but they take it tooooo far. And the Red Sox fans are just as friggin' crazy. With that said, I like the Yankees b/c I love A-Rod, but I'm a Cardinals fan mainly.
Wow, who says nub besides 4 year olds, BAR is right, Orioles sucks bad, except for Nick Markakis, and one player is going to make the whole team good...so yeah, screw off fag.
That was a fight? Bottom line...if a war broke out tomorrow (remember 9/11?) a Sox fan would have a Yankee fans back and a Yankee fan would have Sox fans back...Anyone disagree? Christ...we live a few hundred miles apart. As a Sox fan I have MANY outstanding Yankee fan friends. THINK people!!!
He gave him a Bronx beet down untill that Boston fag gave him a Boston bitch ass throw down! Come on, fight like a man! Stop tossing us off the tops and saying ya won!!!! He got a New York state of mind!!! Welcome to the Bronx bitches!!!!!!
i was 20 feet away from that. the sox fan got fucked up his face was destroyed, it only looks like he got the best because the yank fell over, but he got right back up. the fat guy in the beginning was his dad and he got flung over that railing before the kid by that guy. but he fucked the sox fans face up nice by smashing it into the pole.
Everyone of you that talks shit about New Yorkers are some weak ass pussies because you won't come say shit to anyone's face. Youse people are hide behind the computer bitches. Red Sox fans come to Yankee Stadium trying to talk shit be prepared to get your ass kicked because you are just plain stupid. BOSTON SUCKS, LETS GO YANKEES
okay, I don't want to sound stupid or ignorant, but what exactly happened in baseball history to make yankees fans and red sox fans hate each other so much?
hm..good question, i think it's because they are just rivals in general. Boston traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees and then didn't win a WS for 85/86 years. Or maybe Yankees just own xD
yankees fans are a bunch of sell out pussies

@roBertpasteur Now that your 7th grade english lesson is complete, Corky, we certainly can talk about why our payroll is double that of the Rays. Because Tampa can't sell enough tickets to boost their payroll, and their stars like Evan Longoria make less than a million a year! When their star players become free agents, most will leave. Carl Crawford wont be back next year. Tampa has done well drafting and cultivating yung players, but they will lose most of them via free agency.
BoSoxnation1972 1 year ago

BoSoxnation1972 1 year ago
@roBertpasteur I'm sorry Booster if you don't understand the double entendre of using the word "parody" but you don't even know what a homonym is, so I am wasting my breath! LMFAO Just google double entendre and read the 3rd paragraph so you are able to follow me Booster!
Why do they trail Tampa? Boston's 1,2& 3 hitters are all out for the year, as well as Cameron. Again highest payroll doesnt guarantee a champ0ionship, but its a HUGE advantage. They lost more man games to the DL than any team.

That's freaking yankees for you.
siLveRscOpe13x 1 year ago
@roBertpasteur I already explained it Booster! They spend more money! LMAO It's that simple! Why do you think that every other sport has a salary cap? It's to create parody. NY just overpays every free agent like Texeira, Sabathia and Burnett so no other teams can compete. They've been doing this since the first Yankee stadium was built, when the biggest park in the league gave them a huge revenue stream that no other team had. When the draft was implemented, until free agency, NY never won! LOL
BoSoxnation1972 1 year ago
@roBertpasteur 160 million dollar payroll is about 30% lower than the Yanks 206 mil payroll. And obviously, having the highest payroll doesnt guarantee a championship, otherwise NY would win every year, but it does give you a huge advantage. When Boston won their 2 titles this decade, they never had the highest payroll in the league! NY was 1st in payroll both years Boston won, by a huge margin! When is the last time NY won a world series without having the highest payroll in baseball? LMAO

They where both wasted and drunk and had to spend the night in jail.....

hm..good question, i think it's because they are just rivals in general. Boston traded Babe Ruth to the Yankees and then didn't win a WS for 85/86 years. Or maybe Yankees just own xD
