He never does leave us. We have a tendency as humans to pull away from Him--either going ahead or neglecting to take Him with us into each new day. The truly beautiful thing is that when we call out for Him, He is still right there waiting like the Father waited for his prodigal son in the Bible. I see Him standing at the end of the drive just watching and waiting for us to reach back out to Him so that He can take us back into His arms.

Sorry, Elvis might be the great inventor of rock'n'roll but he didn't actually have a great voice. If you take away the noise, the furious body language and sartorial sophistication, I'm afraid there's not much left of Elvis's music. But the Gaithers are truly professional; great, fantastic voices.

@minihorsesfly we are lonely because we do not fit in this world. I feel it all the time. When I do feel lonely, I thank God that I am not part of this earthly system where Satan controls almost everyone. I also thank God for His presence within me.

am a born again Christian for over 20 years,But then i started to go to church 4 times a week with a wondeful congregation and we have a lot of fellow ship meetings , once a month on fridays we meet for a Christian movie and Pizza, and we have services sunday am,and pm,and tuesday its womens meetings, and wed am, and pm.and since then i am fine,

@minihorsesfly and hovver4000. I quite understand and this song brings me tears also. I have been alone most of my life with no sense of belonging and I am 50 years old. I find that regardless of how old and even if you are a christian we are humans and a sense of belonging is one of the basic needs of man. I leave it all to the almighty, Some days I'm ok but on others I feel sad and lonely. Thanks God for venues like these where I can come and feel better. Thanks for uploading these songs.

On May 7 2008 I led a full congregation of people in the singing of this song. The service was my grandfathers funeral. It is a very powerful yet comforting song.

Phelps's solo on this song is so beautiful I can hardly stand it! How can he sound so bell-clear and so warm at the same time? He's like no other tenor I've heard.

This reminds me of my lowest, darkest shadows of my life, when I was a Satanist... Jesus led me out of the darkest points of my life by the hand and continues to do so when I still struggle! God has blessed me with the voice of a tenor, I am supremely greatful and my hopes is to continually bless God with my gift! This song reminds me of so many of my lowest points in my life, yet Jesus came through and led me by the hand out of the darkest shadows of my life. God has gifted me with a voice of a tenor, and I am supremely happy I can sing along with this song to praise God and Jesus. The Gaither Vocal Band, by far, is one of the best vocal groups around today. God has truly blessed them with the power of song. These four in particular, are my favorite, great harmony. David Phelps is the best tenor I've ever heard. May God keep blessing them!

You should hear Elvis's version of this song. Elvis when a teenager lived in Memphis near what was the Ellis Auditorium. Elvis would listen to all the Gospel singing then J.D. Summner would let Elvis in the back door because Elvis did'nt have any money. After Elvis became famous at 21 He came cak to Ellis and Elvis would sing on stage with Hovie Lister and J.D this VERY SONG.

Sorry, Elvis might be the great inventor of rock'n'roll but he didn't actually have a great voice. If you take away the noise, the furious body language and sartorial sophistication, I'm afraid there's not much left of Elvis's music. But the Gaithers are truly professional; great, fantastic voices.
