As an avid user of Photoshop, I really want to know how you've gotten such a beautiful transition/smoothness of the colors. For example, are you using just a low opacity brush or something?
@brian1010101 Yes - I use a Brush Flow setting of 68 and I vary the Brush Opacity quite often to help create the smooth transition of color (usually between 7 and 23 for light and medium flesh tones; higher for darker tones) but I always leave the Brush Flow set to 68.... Thanks for your question :)
@xxxFireAndIce I'm producing a DVD within the next month with full instruction on how to setup Photoshop, brush selection, settings, etc. so that I can show you exactly how to paint like this. I'll add the link to my website when it's ready to be downloaded :) Thanks!
@Biggreuda Hi, and thanks! In order to download the video (or any videos you like from YouTube) you need to use a download manager. Some are free, but the best one I've found is "Internet Download Manager", and it only costs $15 with free updates...
@BG1961v I know one that's COMPLETELY free. Download Real Player and it will install the Flash Player downloader with it (if you check the box for it). All the videos on youtube are flash videos. I use it all the time. Just go to real.com and download it.
I love this advanced tutorial using Photoshop. I've been using it myself for a couple years now, and the way you show how to paint eyes, lips, and hair has inspired me to improve. Thanks a lot for all these tips - I only wish you would add audio - perhaps to your next one :-) Thanks - I really love your work!
Using a Wacom Intuit 3 tablet and Photoshop CS3, this digital painting took 2-3 hours from start to finish. It took another half-hour to edit the video recording so that I could get it small enough to be accepted by YouTube's limitation of 10 MB's.
All of your work is amazing. I believe this particular one is one of the top 5 video tutorials/speedpainings on YouTube today. Just wish you'd post more! Please consider adding a vocal tutorial to your next video posting?
Best to use a tablet; I use a WACOM Intuit 3. A mouse will not permit the pressure-sensitive touch you may need when applying the paint. Hope this helps.

Great Tutorial!
But why does it say "DOWNLOAD THIS VIDEO!", when there is nowhere any download-link, not even on his website...?
Or am I just blind again? o.O
