It is not a powwow, it is a rounddance, usually held winter nights, preceded by a feast and prayers. There is a lunch around midnight and rounddances go all night long. You get exercise, you have fun, you visit, you eat, what could be better on a freezing northern saskatchewan winter night.
Where was this powwow? I have never seen a Round Dance where men and women dance together holding hands. Also never seen a big group of singers with hand drums singing together. Very nice!
